Christmas 2017 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 1 Santa Kang (& Free Land)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Snow is falling in Springfield!  It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas!  Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas! 

This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the first act, you’re tasked with collecting Batteries () to unlock each prize!

The first Act 1 Prize awarded at 400 is Santa Kang (& a free land token), because you can’t have Aliens invading Christmas without them looking the part!

So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

So you’ll note that it’s not the normal image above…that’s because Santa Kang unlocks so quickly it’s nearly impossible to catch the normal shot.  He’s only 400, so he’ll unlock instantly in the questline.  Which also means I missed a few other typical screenshots we usually have. 

Once you’ve collected 400  you’ll automatically be awarded Santa Kang and you’ll see the unlock message popup.

Once unlocked you’ll see Santa Kang’s unlock message…

And he’s the first character in the Winter 2017 Character Collection…

Santa Kang will be an important part of the main questline, as you’ll need him to complete many tasks.  Once you’ve FINISHED the main questline he’ll have his own questline startup.  Here’s a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of that questline now:
