Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front! Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with premium items from Christmases past tempting us to spend our sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add XMas Trees Slightly or the Toy Workshop Bundle to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…
Item: X Mas Trees Slightly Irregular
Cost: 20 Donuts
Earns: $90,10xp/4hrs
Previous Post: XMas Trees Slightly Irregular
What Does It Do : Just a “building”
My Opinion On It Now:Doesn’t do a whole heck of a lot…BUT it’s from the very first episode of The Simpsons & it’s only 20 donuts. So if you missed out & wished you had it grab it. Otherwise pass.
Item: Toy Workshop and Bell Bundle
Cost: 75 Donuts
Earns: $90,10xp/4hrs
Previous Post: Workshop, Elf Bell
What Does It Do : In 2014 (when these were first released) the workshop served as a hub for daily challenges & the Bell made clearing tasks easier. However, now they’re just items that basically sit there & look pretty. (although the workshop does now earn cash/xp $500, 45xp. And I believe Little Helper Ralph has a task there)
My Opinion On It Now: I’d pass. I personally think 75 donuts is too steep for this combo.
What are your thoughts on the returning items? Will you be spending donuts to bring any of these throwbacks to your Springfield? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
Anyone know how Elf Lisa and Bart earn event currency? I have completed their quest.

Ta muchly 👍🏼
Is the Springfield Sign not available as a premium item anymore?
It’s part of the vault

Is there a top level or a high score on the game , and if so who has the ranking
From what I understand Level 939 is the highest level we can reach right now. There are many who are at the level.
There really isn’t a High Score so to speak. Each event creates it’s own points/currency one collects and then is wiped out at the end of each event.
The game is not designed to keep a running leader board style point system. It’s really more about how each individual plays the game
There is no requirement that you have to play every event or purchase any of the times sold for ingame cash or donuts.
I reached 939 today and took a screenshot. Thanks, KEM farming.
Do y’all continue to earn donuts after Level 939?
Yes – you get to play the donut game with 3 boxes that have 1, 2, or 3 donuts every time you level up (1M XP).
He who owns the most whales wins
So 168Sean’s the winner then 😉😂
yes…soon his whale armada will conquer all our towns
How many whales does Sean have ?
Ebron…more than the Pacific 🙂
Most whales and least Funzos!
I wouldn’t spend donuts on it, but I love tapping on the bell.
The same thing is happening to me too and without realizing I was using a ton of data because I was not updating the app using Wi-Fi. This is so frustrating and if not fixed soon, I may go from a tapping fool to an ex-player.
I bought the Christmas trees. Couldn’t pass up the nostalgia of it. Well worth the railyard grind. =)
not related to this article so i apologise, but just wondering is anyone else, when they open the game each time, getting hit with a 1036.9mb download/update and have to log back in? i’m having to do this 4 times a day and haven’t heard back from ea yet after 5 days…
In my experience, that seems to happen when my phone is almost full on storage and I suspect that iOS automatically deletes downloaded content to free up some space.
For me, clearing up space on my phone solves the issue.
Yes, I have the same problem everyday it seems, very frustrating to say the least. I thought it was my phone.
I reported that to EA months ago. My Android did I it constantly. Now it only does it when my phone cycles, i.e. battery died. It shouldn’t, however, be automatically downloading OTA if you switched to Wi-Fi updates only.
