There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front! Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Rigellian Queen Festive Facade to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this festive leader to your town…
Full Disclosure: You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available. So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.
Building/Decoration: Rigellian Queen Festive Facade
Donut Cost: 40 Donuts
Other Info: This is basically a Christmas Lights version for the Rigellian Queen. This doesn’t add anything to the size/conform-o-meter/earnings for the queen. Just changes the look. If you don’t already have the queen you can purchase her (with the facade) for 100 donuts. Here’s info on the queen (w/out decorations)

Premium or Freemium:
This one is pricey for just a facade. Unless you REALLY want everything decorated for Christmas you may want to pass on this. Outside of looks, it does nothing for Springfield.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Kang and Kodos have 16 hour animated tasks to Drink Hilarium with the Queen. Don’t know if this works with the festive version., but I would be more interested in this if Santa Kang and Mrs C Kodos had similar tasks there.

As for decorating? Hilarious enough, in part.of my redesign recently I moved my Christmas and Halloween areas next to each other…..and the rigellian area is on the side where Christmas is….Imay just remove part of the road and have a little merger of the Christmas and Halloween Rigellian areas…
The Peak Inn and Lyla hit the store this morning…here’s a picture with it in my wilderness area if you want to see the size. It’s a fairly small footprint and I like how well it fits in next to tha National Park.

I like it as well, and I guess Lyla will be like the Bart/Lisa skins – earning event currency only in Act 2. Still debating whether to place into my wilderness area or whether it’d go better in the Old West sector.
Been seeing the Queen in other Springfields for awhile now (she was implemented before I played) and finally had a chance to grab her with Christmas garb to boot. Pricey, but bought it anyway and without hesitation.
What is up with the game? Every time I start the game, I have to login again and have a million updates pending.

I had this problem when I was close to running out of storage on my phone. The Simpsons basically uninstalls itself if you’re “close” to meeting the maximum hard drive capacity. I recommend checking to see how close you are and maybe clearing away (or offloading) some of those old photos or apps you don’t use anymore.

I’m with Alissa on this one, I love this Rigellian Christmas stuff, couldn’t say no to this one either. Moved the Queen out of my Halloween into my new Rigellian Christmas area. There’s still more Rigellian stuff sprinkled in with the Halloween stuff, but I am not sure if I want to move it all. Well, lately I am way behind with my decorating anyway, I still haven’t finished the Magic Academy. Two weeks Christmas Holiday is coming up, but usually my family demands most of that time. Here’s hoping there is still some time left to catch up with TSTO. 🙂
