Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Snow is falling in Springfield! It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas! Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas!
This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the first act, you’re tasked with collecting Batteries (
) to unlock each prize!
The second Act 1 Prize awarded at 2,500 is the Rigellian Christmas Toy Workshop, because you can’t have an Alien Invasion Christmas without somewhere to make the mind control toys…
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 2,500 you’ll automatically be awarded the Toy Workshop and you’ll see this message popup:
Once placed and built (4hrs) in Springfield you’ll have some dialogue popup, here’s a look at it now:

Santa Kang: Hooray, Kodos! Now we have our OWN version of the OSHA-violating toy workshop.
Kodos: Hurry! Have them craft some cheap plastic toys that I’ll get tired of in two minutes, throw away, and then pollute the oceans with!
Kang: Ha ha ha!

What does it Do: Animated when in use, smoke comes out clock hands spin, but outside of the initial task with Kang in the questline there are no other tasks there.

Technically another free land token is next, awarded at 5,000, but since that’s not a tangible prize for Springfied…just a token for free land….the next prize we’ll cover is…

(I hope EA realizes we’re missing out when there are no permanent Character Tasks with a Building)
I really like the look of this building because it is probably the smallest building in terms of how many squares it takes up, the animation and how well it can go into a Rigellian area. I wish that there was a permanent task there for someone to use this building. I also thought that the description it provided “Mass-produce those wonderful Funzos everyone’s talking about!” was a bit misleading and that it could generate extra Funzos but it does not. Other than that, this is a fun building. 🙂

Just wondering if anyone Tappers out there know how I can find my “nome in a box”, or whatever it’s called. I tapped and released him a few days ago and he is MIA…….

The gnome can be difficult to find, but your best bet is to go into “move” mode and turn off the visibility of everything except characters. You’ll probably find him hidden behind a building or a bush or something.
The ‘small holiday hill’ (that you win from the re-gifting gun) fits snugly right in front of the toy workshop…looks like it was designed to be there.

Off topic, but the Worker Elves character makes me think we’ll never get Lewis Clark as a character (or the other guy, can’t remember his name though. Not that they would have made him a character anyway)
By “the other guy” I mean the other Worker Elf (the red-haired one)
The other elf guy is named Jaffee in the show. I don’t think that it would be impossible to see Lewis Clark or Jaffee in our games’ because there have been more than one of the same character but different looks available in the game, most recently in the Halloween event, there was Lord Montymort who is Mr. Burns but a separate character and Slithers who is Smithers but a separate character. There is also every possibility that Lewis Clark or Jaffee could appear as themselves in our games’ next year because this year has been really good with making iconic/recurring characters available.
I really want Wendell stumbling around with motion sickness..
