Should I Spend Donuts on Eski-Moe’s?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front!  Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Eski-Moe’s to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this movie favorite to your town…

Full Disclosure:  You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available.  So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

Final Thought
Premium:
Even if this one wasn’t attached to the Christmas event I’d still pick it up.  I like the design of it and I love the movie reference.  While it stinks there’s no permanent task there (hopefully EA will fix this…*wink wink* *nudge nudge*), it’s still a fun design and a good addtion to premium Springfield

Freemium:
Unless you really love this from the movie, I’d pass.  At least for now. It’s hard to justify spending 55 freemium donuts on something that doesn’t have a permanent character task.  Therefore it won’t be animated reguarly.  So freemium players, I’d pass.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…

A Rocky Relationship
Moe starts

Moe: An Alaskan version of Moe’s Tavern? Who looks at my bar and thinks, “I should copy that”? I mean, I love my bar, but only because I have to. You can divorce a wife, but you can’t divorce a career.  Maybe I’ll take a look in Eski-Moe’s, see what’s up with those Alaskaholics.
Make Moe Try a Drink at Eski-Moe’s- 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp
Moe: Drinks with ice?! I can’t afford that in the lower 48.  If people ask me for booze on the rocks, what they get is rocks.

What are your thoughts on Eski-Moe’s?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Got it yesterday. I’m freemium player but this I had to have. I was saving donuts lately and so far I got Egg not bar, which was ridiculous because I got it for only 10 donuts, and now Eski Moe’s! 😊 This building looks beautiful, love Moe’s questline, love how it goes with my Christmas area in the game, love that it’s from the movie… Which I’ve seen 10 times at least… 😂 I don’t have many donuts left but I don’t regret buying this. The only thing I’m bothered with is that after his questline, Moe doesn’t have a permanent task here. Would be nice to send him there whenever I want, but hey. 😊

  2. Eski-Moe’s

💜 The Building … but c’mon EA, this Building deserves a permanent Tasks for Characters (I’ll spend sprinkles on it next time, if EA does do the right thing) 🤔

  3. Shouldn’t “from movie” be on the cons?

  4. Another good addition to the ‘wilderness’ area…and a good place for the 2 story outhouse😄👍. The footprint is larger than the Peak Inn, but not too bad.

  5. The answer is yes. I had to have it!

  6. I have no good place for this, so probably passing.

  7. I picked it up within seconds. Unique buildings with good provenance and a reasonable look to them are generally a must-buy for me.

  8. Love it!

  9. I hope in the future EA adds more buildings like this one. I really like the regular town-like rural/winter buildings. The Xmas/Rigellian/North Pole themed buildings can be hard to include in regular Springfield. They all end up in an “Imaginary Land” place on my map.

  10. Already bought it, before seeing this article. The movie tie-in was all I needed – and I’ve basically ignored almost all the other (Rigellian) content!

Got everything except the snake and monorail. The snake just doesn’t fit in and another monorail is just too much for all the land were given. I was just trying to add people ( i.e.. the crowds from the homerpalozza event but they just don’t fit in without coats ,maybe ea can fix that ??) to my Christmas village. I’ve got a huge section for Christmas I’ve been building since I’ve started playing and always saving the land for it, but I’m starting to run out in the next 1 or 2 Christmas events. Anybody want to check it out I’ll friend you at talon8770. I’ve got nearly everything that was ever offered.

    • The crowds have started moving faster than normal. I have some at the entrance to my skating rink, & like to think they’re shivering in the cold because they neglected to dress appropriately for the weather. lol

  12. I like getting all the different Moe’s (i’d love to see a list of them so I could tell whether I have them all), and the design of this one is nice, but it’s a bit out of scale…a little too big. It was very hard to found a good spot for it, which ended up being far away from any other stores and restaurants, because of the scale issue. But it looks pretty good up near the ski chalets (which are also too big)
