Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Snow is falling in Springfield! It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas! Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas!
This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the first act, you’re tasked with collecting Batteries (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth Act 1 Prize awarded at 13,400 is the Rigellian Construction Site, because nothing says Alien Invasion like a giant laser under construction…
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 13,400 you’ll automatically be awarded the site and you’ll see this message popup:
Simply place this one (and build it…4hrs) in Springfield. No additional dialogue or tasks for this one…not yet anyone. BUT it does allow you to finish the main questline & move onto Bonuts.

Was wondering if any one else can’t play or get out of the regifting machine? I got my last prize available in the machine yesterday and now I can’t get in. Or I should say every time I click it the screen freezes and I can’t click out and need to exit the game. Do I need to contact ea? I have completed getting the prize track but want bonuts. And its slow going just clicking fuzbos.
Just went through another set of 6 Re-Gifting Machine attacks hoping for at least more ice… nope, all it gave me was TEN Magical 2×4’s (crafting currency). I certainly hope EA has something better in store for us when act 2 starts. Either that, or at least a decent amount, 10 is pretty insulting. I really like the Snowy Christmas hills, & would be happy with a few more of them. Extra free land tokens are always appreciated also. Keeping my fingers crossed for something worth playing it for, I loved the concept!
In my game, the box just started over after I emptied it the first time – with the exact same content as before.
Yes, that’s what happens the first time. But, after you clear the contents the second time, that’s when you start only getting a small amount of crafting currency from it.
Right! I stopped playing the game after the final prize to save it for the next act. Only got about halfway through the second time.
Not mine, 3 more rounds only winning 10 2×4’s, so I m saving them until tonight
Rigellian Construction Site – goes swell in my Rigellian Earth Base area (wouldn’t hurt if EA adds some Character Tasks with are daft folks in Springfield building another Laser Canon) 🤣
i think the ice tiles are cool. I place all my Xmas stuff in one area and he ice tiles help keep it separate from roads. I’m only 1000 battery packs away from finishing act 1
The last prize I received from the regifting machine had no prizes, instead only gave me 10 (ten) – no typo, crafting currency… not playing it again until act 2, I’ll just accumulate wrapping paper if that’s all I’ll get. I thought I’d at least get more ice tiles!
Weird… mine just reset all of the prizes once I had them all, and I’ve since got 2 lots of ice tiles.

That’s weird! mine emptied out, one prize after the other, and when all gone, the box is full again of the exact same prizes. Hope they change up the prizes at some point though!.. 🙂

I think one repeat is all you get…two full sets of prizes .
You’re correct ebron, I wish EA would give us more than 10 2×4’s after that though. The crafting currency is a little slow coming as it is 🙁
I had the same thing happen, then the next time I played the prizes were all reset. Try playing another game…I think you’ll see that the prizes are back.

Was that after you got all of the repeated second-round items? If that’s the case, I’ll probably do the same as you, once I’ve gotten all of the second round of the items…

Sandra, unfortunately I just tried it again & only got another 10 2×4’s 😞 If it was more than 10 I’d be fine with it, but that’s not even enough for the candy cane fences 😳
I agree…if I get all of the ice tiles and the land token before the end of the act (unfortunately, I just got another hill this morning, and, fit the first time, didn’t have enough wrapping paper yesterday to do all six rounds and get my daily prize from that), I’ll definitely plan on saving the rest for the next act.

Is anyone else getting messages telling them to open the App Store? Only happens on my iPhone. It has been happening for the last couple of days when visiting any WordPress sites. I can press back a couple of times and it takes me to the page I originally wanted to view, but it is annoying having to keep doing it.
Sounds like another version of the hijacking virus that a lot of people have been having trouble with on this site. You can try to get rid of it by:
– turn on airline mode (so no internet access)
– clear the cache (or do a hard close and reboot your device, which will also clear it)
– turn off airline mode (restore internet access)
If you have the virus lurking in your cache, this should get rid of it.
Keep playing the re-gifting machine. Grab as many free land tokens and ice tiles as possible.
I still don’t understand the appeal of ice tiles. I have them stored. Am I missing something?
Yes, you’re missing just how *cool* they are

You can place items on top of ice tiles such as the Snow Simpsons (Homer, Marge, Grampa, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Snowball 2 and Santa’s Little Helper), Ice Statues and buildings (King Winter’s Cave, Ice Palace, Ice Skating Rink) and other Christmas/Winter related items.
Hi neighbor😁. I have them surrounding my ice castle…you can check them out if you want. The nicest part is, they won’t melt after the event is done. So…if you have a permanent Christmas/Winter area, it can be on ice all year round instead of grass❄️❄️❄️☺️.

I hardly ever play anymore. They’ve stripped those events from everything that was fun and put a pay wall around every fun item. Even the christmas and Halloween events are a letdown.

Can’t figure out why I’d want this out once the event ends….it’ll probably end up in storage after the event is over, unless I come up with a good use for it. But that’s okay, because we’ve gotten so much good stuff so far! 🙂
Looking closely at this, there are platforms and spaces similar to the Radioactive Man statue. My guess is that we’ll have to send characters to “battle” there in Act 2. After the event, those tasks will remain, just like “Train for Future Conflict”.
No, please no. I can’t stand the battles.
I put mine next to the working model of the gun in my Nara/Rocket section. Kang is already flying around and firing on the completed gun 24/7, so now he can be trying to stop completion of the new one as well 😉.

It will reset the items in the Mystery Box once you get all the items, just got all of the prizes too.
I just got another free land token. I would like a large number of ice tiles but not numerous Christmas Hills(?).
I unlocked this last night, and I also finished the prize track for the re-gifting machine. But this morning, the prizes for the re-gifting machine reset. Is this supposed to happen?
I also finished the re gifting prizes and then was offered a new prize box which reset the prizes,???, do I save or continue????
The re-gifting machine does reset to the same prizes as the first round, the two Christmas hills and the ice pieces.
May have to use this to shoot down my Rad-ish Station!

I’ve had to retire her from fairy princess glitter sprinkling duty with Smithers since I got her Mrs. Claus costume…. I had forgotten she came with the fireplace and came here today trying to figure out why the heck it showed up suddenly.
