Sacred Tome
So the ability to earn batteries is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero Tomes. So forget about those Batteriess…time to wonder who wrote the book of Tome!
You’ll earn Tomes very similar to how you earned Batteries during Act 1….
-Clearing the Funzo tappables (earn 12 /tap)
– Clearing Funzos in your Neighbor’s towns (earns 1 /tap)

If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT 1” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)

Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1, for Act 2.
Re-gifting Machine
The prizes in the re-gift mystery box have reset…same rules/basic game play remain the same from Act 1.
You can still win Ice and Land Tokens but the snowy hills have been replaced with North Pole Stables and Elf Cabins. (1 of each/ box)p

I finished Act 2 for Christmas 2017 but I didn’t get Jack Frost. Did anyone else have this problem?

Re the Arctic Hypertrain – am I the only one who was hoping it would run on the Monorail track, and was bummed when it just sits there??? Yeah, probably…. looks good, was psyched to see it running around town.

Yeah, me too – but I was just hoping for something better than one more basically-static decoration. Especially since they let us get more North Pole Monorail Station pieces. Sigh.
And speaking of Ol’ Norbert – I could use a few more airport runway pieces, too! (I know, never satisfied…)
Am I missing something? Jesus seemed to appear as a Gil deal and disappear. Most of time I can find the deal hiding in the menu. Am I just glazing over it or was it just shown early?

Otto isn’t in my store either. I looked to see how much he was as I don’t have many donuts.
Look for him in Characters under School Bus. They don’t label him as Otto. He’s 120 donuts.

I think expramulation is what you do once a year on Quiznox Eve. It’s a Rigellian thing…go figure.😄

I hope the option to purchase ice tiles carries on beyond the event…maybe like the cobblestone roads from a previous Halloween?
Also…anybody else notice…the more you add to your Rigellian North Pole, the more it looks like Whoville from Dr Seuss? I expect Cindy Lou Who to come bouncing out of one of the huts any minute now😁.
Re: Invisible Funzo (& possibly “above the head” funzos)
Searched but couldn’t find anything, so hopefully not repeating old info. This morning while tapping icon to collect R-Funzos, it took me to an occupied area that tapping the screen center got no result. As usual, used X icon to ghost the area. No funzo visible, so used “move” tactic to move the whole surrounding area. Still no funzo there. Left the items moved and tapped icon again, only this time it moved me to where I moved the buildings to (This was in Heights. Coffee, gym, tech, pill buildings). Still no tap-able funzo.
Now yesterday, in the Heights a similar occurrence where ghosting the buildings showed no funzo, but moving them revealed a frozen funzo in a still locked square of land, (New phone so rebuilding my anonymous Springfield). It’s tap-able once you pinpoint exact location since not always dead center. Have another on the edge of unlocked area of mountain range at top of screen.
Anyway, back to the main subject, moved buildings back, and tapped icon followed the buildings. After much frustration, got creative and tapped City Hall. While scanning citizens, noticed “Grampa is hypnotized”. Tapped the “Go To” button, and pop!! The invisible funzo gave up the goods. Meanwhile, whilst I was toiling with that problem, a few other funzos became visible running around. Cleared them till no visible funzos, then tapped icon to find any hidden ones. Bam… right back to that same Heights spot, and no funzo available. Back to City Hall. This time it was Nelson hypnotized, followed by Wiggum, then Moe. Don’t know if these glitches are isolated to the Heights, all over, (or just my town) but if anyone has an invisible funzo that locks your “Finder Icon” to one spot with no funzo, check City Hall for a “hypnotized” Springfielder.

Hi Kala – you legend! I had the same issue this morning; just closed the game in frustration when I couldn’t find the last Funzo. After reading your post I checked the Town Hall and Apu was hypnotised. So thank you for the glitch fix! Merry Christmas.

I had the same problem this morning with Fireman Apu and the fire truck.I waited for the task to finish and then was able to clear the funzo. Recommendation for avoiding this issue is to clear funzos before sending characters on tasks.
If I can`t tap one I scroll around my town to do other stuff for a minute or two. When I go back to it, it is moving and easy to tap. I guess sometimes they hide in a bunker, so give it a minute. They start moving again. Let them play possum for their moment. Then go back and Sky Finger zap them! Enjoy while you blow smoke away from your finger tip.

PLEASE HELP😞 for days now my mobile version has been acting up(iPhone 7 ISO) 3-4 times a day it’s making me redownload the Xmas update,the pic on the app is the Xmas one and 1900mb doesn’t sound a lot but it takes around 20mins every time and if I’m out and about I’m screwed,I thought this update would have helped it but it’s already done it twice today,I also have it on my IPad and it’s not doing it on that but it’s only the 3rd gen and can’t keep up with my town…is anyone having the same issue or heard anything about this?
Apart from this problem I’m loving the Xmas update which makes my problem even worse lol

May have something to do with iOS11… there have been reports that it is buggy with that OS upgrade. Hard to say. It may be time for you to contact EA on that though.
Thanks yeah I did see an software update with it stating that it was fixing bugs with shares information with some apps,I downloaded it yesterday before I uninstalled the tsto app and reinstalled and even signed out my iTunes and back in again but still that hasn’t worked as its done the same problem again and hour after doing it for the first time today once again it’s made me reinstall the Xmas update,how do I go about contacting EA about this?

Just emailed EA(note to self don’t state the problem as “bug” after writing a book about your problem) as they just reply with check the forums for bugs like this,I’ve emailed them stating my problem and awaiting reply,I’ll post the results for other users that might have this problem,

There was a new iOS update this afternoon around 4pm est. thank God because my iPhone was doing some really strange things for the past two or three days. Luckily this event is nice and laid back I’ve been logging on once maybe twice a day and getting everything.
I’ve had that happen when my iphone is almost full on drive space. Freeing up a gb or two might help.
So far today I have 3500, unfortunately I put Mrs K on a 24 hr fast by mistake, will have to wait till tomorrow as I can’t release her to do the 8hr task but still a great event
Next time just put your character in storage (it will store their applicable building too) then re-place, it will cancel their task but free them up without donuts)
Anyone else have a robo funzie above peoples head that cannot be tapped? For me it is krusty.

With a few saved challenges and a couple hundred wrapping paper, I got the first prize in minutes.
(Odd to me that the devs/writers know enough to name the Buddha “Gautama,” but not enough to know that the “laughing Buddha” is a completely separate figure from Gautama Siddhartha. Smh.)
The Buddha world is a complicated place… But, then again, so is JC, who is a baby, a kid, an adult, and God incarnate, as well as the son of God at the same time. I understand the issue with the animators wanting just the “best known” version.
We in the west think the Budai is Buddha. Sure. That’s our mistake, but sure, it’s more recognized. But this isn’t like they’re aspects of the same figure, they are actually from two totally different traditions. It would be comparable to having a “Santa Christ” character. (Budai is actually very Santa-like.) If they want the “laughing Buddha,” they shouldn’t have called him Gautama. It’s not hard.
I get that…and you are correct. However, this is the SIMPSONS…right? They rarely “get it right” as it pertains to fundamentals. Everything is kind of implied…as in “Save me Jebus!” when Homer is being chased by cannibals. And frankly, when you get down to it, if you are using Santa (and all of his incarnations in the game) as an example, it is always more the SPIRIT of Christmas that we are celebrating. So…the spirit of “both Buddhas” is the same…the intent, so to speak.
Not as excited as some folks seem to be about this Christmas event & so far the 2nd act is practically identical to the 1st. However considering how bad the last few updates have been, I suppose we should be grateful for anything.
And again……….. I would ask, “So…what in your opinion would make this update better? What is is missing?”
Just something to tax us a bit more. Maybe similar to the round the world event ( can’t recall it’s title but we had plane journey’s, viruses etc. ). Also there is very little reward for visiting neighbours, interaction zero.
Saying all this, what is saving the event are the prizes. I suppose for some that is all that matters.

Strange glitch but what FUN 🎅
During Act 1 of this event i was able to buy the Magic Scratch-R once, after that it just said: Thank you for playing. Now, just as Act 2 started my Springfield glitched out, upon login i was greeted with the old Login-bonus screen and one “this event is over” message for every event since May. But, i’m suddenly able to purchase the magic Scratch-R again. Is it because you can buy 1/Act or is it because of the glitch? (I’m currently waiting for the support team to set my Springfield back by 1 day, that seems to be the only fix)
Question… I do not yet have Otto. When I unlock him here will I get the character for free, the character limited to the conductor skin only and none of the missions for regular Otto? How does this work?
Not sure…but, you need to get Otto. He is integral to Springfield!
He’s on my list. There are a few more prominent characters that I do not yet have: Frink, Jimbo, Luann Van Houten, Sherri and Terri, Jasper Beardly, Disco Stu, Sideshow Mel, Manjula N., and one or two more.

I’m loving this event, but why isn’t Moses (or some other prime Jewish figure) part of the BS League? I want my ancestral religion made fun of, too! 😜
Moses reminds me of Easter and Passover, so they would need another Jewish character… well a second one, anyway. 😅

Not sure who was converted, or by whom. Seems like we did the converting, after the fact.
I believe I’ve found a bug. When hitting the icon to find the robo-funzos, it takes me to the brown house where the citizens are doing their part of pt 2. I tap all around & only get the brown house countdown timer along with all the characters timers, but can’t find the robo. I turn off layers for everything but characters, same thing. i move that brown house somewhere else, hit the icon, & it takes me to where I moved the brown house to. Can’t find or tap the robo.
Anyone else encountering this?
It’s no a bug. When your character has finished its task and you continue the storyline things befome clear.
Mine takes me to the jail. I believe that a robo-funzo is “attached” to a character inside.

Yes, same as you and rhayader1 below, I had the same thing happen with the prison. Only stopped when I stored the prison and it let everyone with a task there out. Helicopter funzo following around one of the characters. Once I cleared that it went back to working. Glad I’m not alone. Still kind of annoying.
I had some glitch (i think) with the funzo’s. At one point it send me all the time to my KEM (or krustyburger next to it), but nothing there to tap. After the 4 hour task was done there, it didn’t do that anymore. Later i found krusty with a kind of helicopterfunzo on his head. Maybe it was there before but inside a building
Afterwards i could clear ghat funzo but kinda hard to tap
Character had funzo on his head went to make yoga mats funzo went with him. Can’t store building. Used donuts to get him out. Tapped funzo. Then finder worked again. Had 3 people in that building with them so cost me 6 donuts or I could have just waited a few minutes but was curious.
Just for literally EVERYONE the premium characters are going to be useful later in the questline
