ALL Premium characters that say they earn Event Currency are merely characters that can battle the Aliens in the Battle (questline unlocks). They earn the EXACT same amount of currency a the freemium characters & you can only send 4 at time. So, don’t buy characters for the event currency aspect. Not worth it.

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front! Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Peak Inn & Lyla to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Burns Love to your town…
Full Disclosure: You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available. So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

Pros

-Peak inn is animated when in use (and Lyla will use it beyond the questline)
Cons
-Does not earn extra event currency over freemium characters, and not necessary to complete event.
-Not Voiced
-Pricey for a one-off character combo
Final Thought
Premium:
This is one of those on the fence combos for me. I’ll likely buy her before the event is over (I do like how the Peak Inn looks), but I’m not in a rush. A little pricey and it’s a one-off character. So it’s a meh…see what happens next week before you pick up combo.
Freemium:
I’d pass on this duo. Save your donuts for a couple of better characters, but if you still have donuts come January 1st and really want her then grab her. But for now I’d pass.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Thank you, do you know if the Fever Cabin with it’s thick snow cover has snow as a permanent detail of its design or lose it, too? I ask because I hope that buildings that one associates with the north and/or mountains might have snow painted on their roofs.

I think I’m missing something… Bart and Lisa still not earning event currency. Budda vs. the aliens once then done. Am I waiting for something else trigger? Did pick up Lyla, ran through her quest line then nothing. Help please.
They will battle aliens as you progress. Well they’ll be able to battle if you select them. But first you have to unlock hibbert from prize track to really get into the battles.

Still, if anybody still feels like spending 140 donuts for event currency, then spend them on the Ralph skin (40 donuts) + Krustofsky (100 donuts). That way, you will get TWO characters who earn event currency for 140 donuts instead of one
I MIGHT get Krustofsky only just because he is offered at a rebate. Not sure though. Will decide in next few days

Can we get away from using Lisa and Bart in the battle to keep them at the rail depot? If we have to buy one premium character then it is one more argument for the premium one
I may end up getting her yet, but having grabbed Jesus this morning I’m going to wait until closer to the end of the act, make sure I have donuts for anything that might still be coming that I might want more since I’m not familiar with the character. My Simpsons watching lapsed for years because I’m never home on Sundays.
Gave this one a miss and so glad I did when Jesus appeared today and used my doughnuts for him as concentrating on the themes of Christmas. Just love this character.

Now that I donut farm I was able to buy her. I don’t know about any of these characters as I don’t religiously watch the Simpsons. I have noticed however on FX that eventually they show the episode with them and It amuses me. I combined her building with the huge lodge surrounded by trees and pushed the sexy flanders ski lift next to that making a ski resort. It’s in development but looking good.. 140 is a smidge high and I see this being discounted in the future for 80 to 100 donuts. Don’t regret the buy due to the integration with my design in town and she probably won’t be discounted for at least 6 months to a year.
I bought this and like it. The quest line and dialog are pretty funny. I like her out door tasks and the fact that she’ll use the building. It also looks very good next to Eski-Moe’s. I plan to put the wood streets in front of both if the bugs have been fixed with it.
I wasn’t concerned about event currency, I just wanted the character. Kind of wish her task to zen out was stationary so I could try to get her into the garden of my Buddhist temple, I think that would look really nice. Ah, well.

I gave up waiting for a SIB and got her because I am so far behind in this Act. Having now read your SIB I never would have gotten her. Oh well maybe she will help later in the game. My advice is don’t bother with her!!
Being a character collecter I try to buy all of them if I have available donuts. not gonna wait for them to come back on sale or get stuffed in a mystery box with a bunch of useless junk I don’t want.
Got her straight away. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but when the Peak Inn is being used I am pretty sure that is the shadows of Mr Burns and Lyla in the window.. The little details like this are just amazing
