Should I Spend Donuts on the Stable at the Inn?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front!  Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Stable at the Inn to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this little stable from Bethlehem to your town…

Full Disclosure:  You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available.  So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This one doesn’t do much and really it’s something I would generally tell you to pass on.  So unless you really like it & its design pass.

I’m REALLY hoping EA goes back and adds bonus % for all of these premium decorations.  It’s a big miss for this event.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the dialogue it comes with…

Unstable Stable
Flanders starts

Flanders: Oh, my stars!  It’s the Bethlehem stable that Jesus was born in! Boys, come over here and climb in the manger.  I want to get a photo for Facelook.
Rod: But I’ll get fleas!
Flanders: Fleas that bit little Jesus. Forget what I said about the Vatican, those are the REAL holy parasites.

  1. I’m afraid it would just be another seasonal item to store the rest of the year… along with the nativity, christmas float and snow globe.🙁

    • I put it next to the inn I got for the Hogsmeade-ish part of town, just outside of the Magic Academy. Since that part of town seems kind of medieval, I figured it made sense that the inn would have a stable next to it. (But I try not to notice the camel, which kinda doesn’t go with the setting for that town…)

      • I bought it for my farm area. I was also worried about the camel but a few strategically placed trees have hidden him and now I have a little sleeping sheep and horse and a nice barn for my farm.

    • All those things are always in my town. When is is in the middle of the summer I create an Australian Christmas 😇

  2. Bonus percentages are not an issue with me but I think I remember an event a while ago that had new premium decorations on offer but without any bonus percentages until they got added near or at the end of the update. Off topic but did the update yesterday extend the event by an extra 8 hours because the timer in my game goes to about 3pm GMT instead of 7am GMT when the event ends?

  3. Yep. And now today we have the Rotating Religious Holo Statue. Nada.

But then again, the Old Spirit Tree was a total deal. So I dunno.

  4. This is totally off topic, but how do you get the Fleet a Pita Van? I’ve been playing since almost the beginning. I see it locked in my store telling me I need to finish a quest line, but there aren’t ant open.

  5. I didn’t buy any of the premium decorations because they have no bonus percentages attached to them. If they had been freemium, I would have bought them all, but since they add no value to my town I just couldn’t justify spending doughnuts on them.

  6. I got Jesus, so the purchase of the stable was unavoidable.

  7. I really like this. I’m going to put it in my zoo I think. I love decorations lately that are animated on or off. The little touches in this game are awesome. Zoom in everyone. Turn up your sound and tap. At everything static. You will be delighted 😊

  8. I did because…Xmas.

  9. There may not be bonus percentages for new premium items, but I’ve gotta say EA has done a great job during this event with offering returning items with a high bonus percentage at big discounts. I was happy with Flander’s frozen car, but the latest release in the bazaar has me eyeing up at least three more items!

  10. I’m gonna say no.
