Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Snow is falling in Springfield! It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas! Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas!
This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the second act, you’re tasked with collecting Tomes (
) to unlock each prize!
The first Act 2 Prize awarded at 1,900 is Gautama Buddha (& a free land token), because Christmas is all about inner peace
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 1,900 you’ll automatically be awarded Gautama Buddha and you’ll see the unlock message popup. (basically showing you’ve won a free land token)
Once unlocked you’ll see Gautama Buddha’s unlock message…
And he’s the first character in the B.S. League Character Collection…
Buddha will be an important part of the main questline, as you’ll need him to complete many tasks (including Alien Battles). Once you’ve FINISHED the main questline then it’s best to start working on his sidequest (it’ll pop up once you unlock him, but you should wait to work on it until you’ve finished the main questline). I’m a tad disappointed with his visual tasks… riding a motorcycle throwing out guns? Not very imaginative IMO
Someone should tell Lisa and EA that this isn’t the Gautama Buddha. Gautama was thin, and from India. This is the Laughing Buddha, famous for dying, having his body covered in gold, then sealed in a jar. Later, when the jar was opened, he miraculously looked just like before he was sealed up. (My apologies if I messed up the story – I am remembering from a Comparateve Religions class 30 years ago!)
Already covered this in my post. There are TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many Buddhas to choose from…so I think they opted for the bests blend of both. Nice, modern Gautama, and the Laughing Buddha…who is kind of an air head (not to be confused with the Smiling Buddha, which was the code name for the first Indian Atomic weapon test).

True lol. Kind of why it cracks me up when someone (I’ve been guilty of in the past), gets their panties in a wad over some of the irreverent things. If the Simpsons can be summed up in one word, it would be irreverent lol
This annoys me, as well. South Park of all shows managed to get this right when they had Buddha as a “Super Best Friend,” but Simpsons got it so wrong 😔
Gautama Buddha (& a free land token) – a clever Character that deserves more visible Tasks (vs just inside the Brown House) …. maybe EA will give our Buddha a Task at the Buddhist Temple (or outside of it)👍
Yeah, I wish they were a little more creative with the indoor tasks instead of sending him to the brown house. It is like the elves that have a clean the reindeer stable task that is not located at the actual reindeer stable.
Will bhudda and the other bs legion members be able to do their attack animations again. I love all of them a lot and would want or keep playing in my town.

Sorry if it’s been asked before, I’m convinced I had nearly all the Simpson snowmen. I haven’t been able to find them and then they turn up for me to buy in the store!
They aren’t unique so you can buy duplicates. If it helps I found my original snow men in the decorations tab… 😊
I believe you can get more than one of each of the Simpsons snow family because they are not unique so you can buy 2 or more Bart Snowmen (or Snowboy), 2 or more Lisa Snowmen (or Snowgirl), 2 Santa’s Little Helper Snowdog etc. There are also two different versions of the Simpsons snow family: one with a bonus percentage which is premium and in the store, and one without a bonus percentage which is not premium and was prizes from a few years ago.

If you stored them behind buildings (that’s what I did), it’s easier to find them if you make the buildings transparent.
