Should I Spend Donuts on Radiant BS Station?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front!  Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Radiant BS Station to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this hovering watch tower to your town…

Full Disclosure:  You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available.  So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This is one item for this event I am 100% for sure passing on.  It’s way overpriced & totally underdelivers.  Stay away from this one.  Stay far, far away from it.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I’m passing.  The only item for this event that I’m completely passing on.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…

Third-Eye Watchtower
Buddha starts

Buddha: Thank you, Jack Frost, for supplying the Belief System League with this wonderful Watchtower. Now we really can keep an eye on people.
Shiva: But how did you have the money for this thing?  It’s top-of-the-line tech!
Jack: Got it cheap at an estate sale.  Remember that dude Sauron?  Well, he don’t need no all-seeing eye no more. Actually, they’re selling off everything in Mordor dirt-cheap.
Santa: Really?  Maybe I’ll go grab some orcs.  They couldn’t complain any mroe than elves.
Make B.S. Leaguer Set up the Watchtower- 8hrs, Earns $275,70xp Freemium and $420, 105xp Premium

What are your thoughts on the Radiant BS Station?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

I bought it because I like that it’s always animated, and I want to put it with my tech stuff. I haven’t checked, but it might go in the water if the footprint (base, whatever lol) is placed on a boardwalk tiles/tiles.

  2. 👎

  3. Pretty annoyed that it can’t go over water like the superhero and radish stations.

  4. i got it….. but i think it might be the top worst purchase in the game ever. Like said it’s expensive… but for it to only have one single quest it completely destroyed the purpose as to why people would want it.

  5. I got this thinking it would be awesome for 150 donuts… all singing all dancing venue.

Nope! Hard lesson learnt. Total waste of donuts 😐

  6. I would never have bought it, if I was a freemium or premium player.Way too expensive!

  7. Pass for me, short of donuts and think if I reach 200 I might buy Jesus to complete set, would really like to get some President’s in my town, maybe an event or gil deal to come, when is president day?

  8. I know it’s unjustifiably expensive. I know I should have passed. I knew that before this post. But I wanted it. I wanted it, I kept wanting it, I repeatedly put it in my church sector and then cancelled it. Especially after I bought that holographic statue, I wanted it. So I bought it, and I’m actually very pleased with it.

  9. hi, i have a problem and i don’t really know where to put this. i put the magic academy away for a quick second but now it’s gone. it’s not in my inventory at all. i’ve looked through literally everything, closed the app and then looked through everything again. i don’t know what to do.

    • Hi Maya, I can sympathise. I have had several items go missing since i have started (since the beginning). It’s hard to remember them all but I had Luanne and Kirk animal skins and then they were gone. Not sure when it happened. I contacted EA and to paraphrase, they basically said prove I used to have it. How could I do that? I have no clue how I could prove it. Good luck

      • well i can prove i had it since i have all the prizes from the prize track so i clearly played that event. but that’s so rude of them, like why do they take things away anyway??

      • I feel like EA support has started getting a bit more difficult to deal With lately. Used to contact them with legitimate problems, and if they couldn’t resolve them, they’d move the issue to another group and often give a few donuts for the trouble.

Last few times I’ve contacted them, they almost treated me like I was making things up and gave me completely unhelpful “assistance.” Had a similar problem where a character disappeared when I stored them to end a task they were on; wasn’t in storage or still out in my town. Their solution? I have too much in storage and I need to place stuff in my town or get rid of items.

Turns out, there was a glitch in the game that I resolved on my own with a bit of trial and error.

Unless I have a problem that either a) I can’t figure out, or b) can’t find a solution to on this site, I won’t ever contact EA support again.

What I can suggest for your issue is to do the usual…delete the app, reinstall, see if it shows up. Also try looking in sections of storage; I’ve had a few items that I swore weren’t in the full inventory section that showed up in buildings or town decorations.

        • I have a feeling (actually I know) this game isn’t making them as much money as it used to. Now they are spending more time making customers happy than acquiring new ones. It went from one of the top 10 grossing games to off the top 200. I’m sure this is related to them not prioritizing the simpsons game or it’s customers anymore.

          • screw it. you guys, if this is their mentality toward this game and it’s players (their paying customers) then i quit. it’s been fun and they’ve taken a lot of my money. but i’m gonna quit if this is the way they do things now.

        • As always, EA moves in strEAnge ways.

  10. I’m a completionist….but uh….hard pass….I’ve been short on sprinkles lately…

  11. Of course I got it because I’m me. But ugghh I hate these hovering items. They’re so big. I don’t mind balloons. But this, the ghost ship, the big radish and the super heroes HQ are so hard to place. They have a small footprint but a huge visual block.

    • Skinner's Ballsack

I put my trees and training walls behind such hovering things. Anything that I have no visual use for, but still have a function for COM or income generation get hidden behind that stuff 🙂
