Christmas 2017 Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 5 Christmas Cabin

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Snow is falling in Springfield!  It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas!  Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas!

This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second act, you’re tasked with collecting Tomes           () to unlock each prize!

The fifth Act 2 Prize awarded at 12,300  is the Christmas Cabin…because nothing says Christmas like a cabin in the woods with REAL floors!

So let’s take a closer look at this fifth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 12,300  you’ll automatically be awarded the Christmas Cabin and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place in Springfield immediately or Store in your inventory for later.  Remember if you hit store you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

Once built (4hrs) the Cabin does come with a bit of dialogue and a 1-time task for Cletus.  Here’s a look at it now:

The Cabin in the Redneck Woods
Cletus starts

Cletus: Ooh, lookie this!  A cabin what’s all Christmasy-sparkley and new, and don’t smell of possum chitlins.
Brandine:I’m worried, Cletus.  What’s wrong with the floor?
Cletus: It’s made of wood, not dirt.
Brandine: Too fancy for us, Cletus.  Must be where them bears that got Goldilocks lives.
Make Cletus Investigate the Christmas Cabin- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp

And here are the quick details about the Cabin…

Build Time: 4hrs
Size: 5×9
Earns: $200, 20xp/12hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
Animation: Animated when in use, but will only be used once (as of now) for Cletus’ questline.  Outside of that it is animated when tapped out.  Lights turn on smoke comes from Chimney.
Can be Placed: grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt|ice

And that’s it…the details on the 5th Act 2 prize!

What’s Next?

Santa’s House- Awarded at 15,000. This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guidepost.

What are your thoughts on the Christmas Cabin?  Have you unlocked it yet?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Christmas Cabin – I’m grateful for another rustic Building that generates $ and XP (we have a lot of Cabins earned over the years in this Game App); and grateful we weren’t given another NPC as an Event Prize (EA is paying attention!) …. I just want more permanent Character Tasks – is that asking too much?🤔

  2. I wish there was a permanent task here. It looked so gorgeous all lit up during Cletus’ task. Tapping it just isn’t the same.

    • Maybe after the event EA will actually add tasks to most of the buildings from this event that don’t have any direct tasks with them. Some of these buildings can be used by the Wise Guy because they are a classed as a Shop (register icon), Home (yellow dollar sign icon), or a restaurant (check icon) but the Christmas Cabin is neither of these three because it has a wad of cash icon when you collect from it (it really should have a yellow dollar sign icon instead because it is more of a home).

  3. I’ve finished the event , BUT there is a glitch I can’t collect the ? Forgot what they are called fenzo 😳the little horrors that keep hiding I can’t collect since the last battle , anyone else got this happening ??😜😂

  4. Just saw the episode that this is from…still laughing at the “Toy Soldiers”…Bart and Milhouse wrappped in duct tape 😂😂😂.

    • I seen the episode on Christmas Eve and some other (mostly crafting) items from this event appeared in this episode. I think a few years ago there was tasks for Bart and Milhouse to dress up as soldiers like from the episode but sadly it was not permanent. I did not know that Martha Stewart lived in the Christmas Cabin until I watched the episode.

  5. Any ideas what to expect following Act 2? The mystery is killing me!
