Should I Spend Donuts on the Rotating Religious Holo-Statue?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front!  Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Rotating Religious Holo-Statue to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this holographic tree to your town…

Full Disclosure:  You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available.  So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

-No dialogue associated with it

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I like this one.  I’m bummed it doesn’t earn anything, but the animation is fun.  It’s also reasonably priced, compared to some other decorations.  I like that it’s always animated and it moves through the various religious icons.  I’d pick this one up…

I’m REALLY hoping EA goes back and adds bonus % for all of these premium decorations.  It’s a big miss for this event.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

What are your thoughts on the Rotating Religious Holo-Statue?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Just got this in 2020 and LOVE it!

  2. So I bought a new Samsung tablet with some gift cards and tips I got for Christmas. I downloaded TSTO and it showed and app for Addicts. I know the app isn’t available for my iPhone anymore, is it still active on android? Just asking because it’s $3.99 and I want it because I miss it but don’t want to spend money on something that isn’t what I think it is. I’ve never had an Android device before, I’ve always had apple and kindle.

  3. Sooo….i am eyeing this a few other want-a-haves (love the actual Christmas selection of items this year). Don’t have to give any spoilers away, just a simple nod will do…. is there going to be a New Year’s mini event?

If so I will hold onto my donuts until I see what premium carrots they might dangle from a stick. If not I would like to get the rest of my Christmas Premiun Wishlist items so I can continue my town designs before the holiday is over.

I bought it right away because I loved the diversity it represented 😍

  5. This is another one I’m not sure about lol. I’m glad they are giving us plenty of time to decide, I may pick it up at the very end depending on finances. I’m really loving this event and just earned Jack Frost : )

    • I would pull the trigger. It’s fully animated and rotates what it looks like every second or so. I wasn’t sure what to expect but fully dig it once I saw it. 30 donuts is a good price for this kind of animation. Only gripe is no bonus percent like so many of the decorations offered this event.

  6. Considering buying this now, does any one have any images of the other icons other than the Christmas tree
    Thanks

  7. I picked it up immediately…what else could I put in the park in the local government district? Only a non-denominational (or multi-denominational, in this case) decoration would be appropriate. 😄

  8. Thanks for reminding me! I completely ignored it in the store, but once I saw it in someone else’s Springfield I wanted it. Gonna go buy it right now before I forget again!

  9. I liked this tree saw it in a friend’s town and then got it right away. Plan to leave it out after the event.

  10. I liked it so I got it. Though I’m curious why there seems to be no more % items popping up. I mean I feel like I got enough normal cash that will last me until the game is finally shut down as I did buy pretty much all the % items early on and farmed the blue houses for like the first year and a half on this game.

Still this should have been a % item.

    • I suspect EA deliberately gave several XP bonus items for very low rates (Flander Frozen Car, Dunking device) so players would feel better about spending donuts on pure-decoration items like this.

      • Good analysis. Cause that’s how I’m feeling 🙂 I’ve bought everything this event that I’ve wanted and some.

If you get one non bonus decoration this should be your one.

  11. Love this decoration ♥🎅♥
