Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front! Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with premium items from Christmases past tempting us to spend our sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
This time around EA has added a Holiday Bazaar section of the store, an area FULL of rebated (and not rebated) items from holidays (and some other events) past. I thought it was my imagination, but I bought number 51 (alien guy) for 100 donuts with a 90 donut rate. And it went through. I got him and the transaction cost 10 donuts. Does this make sense?

I don’t know how, or why, but need help with this. I have been to busy to keep with the posts this event but been grinding the game. Well I’m finishing up before it ends. Crafting, purchasing items etc. And I have the egg nog bar as an option to buy. But you don’t list it. Reason why it’s prompted me to post, I bought it for 60 donuts. With a return of 50. So a total of 10 donuts in the end. Well it showed the screen that I got the credit back, but didn’t! I had 403 before purchasing and now got 343. Should be sitting at 393. Help? Maybe contact EA?
Still waiting on your advice. Currently at work. Has anyone else had that same rebate problem?
Annnnnnd. I had also purchased other items and my donut count is different of course. So I don’t know how I could prove to EA that I’m telling the truth…
The Go To Hell Simpsons Devil Float seems like an even better buy than the Old Tree Spirit as far as bonus percentage goes

Devil Snowman – I know Pagan Willie has a Character Task with this Decor, but the rest? Let’s just say Noobs can increase their Bonus % cheaply (Long Time Tappers – like me – are choosing wisely when spending sprinkles) 😎
Don’t you think that all snow and ice sculptures should remains correct even when the snow is gone in Springfield when you put them on ice? The ice patterns are new in Springfield – mayby they work as I suppose?

Bought the dunking device just for the %, good rebate so worth the 10 donuts
I wanted to finally get the ray gun and shoot down the saucer animation, but not on offer. Bah humbug.
Igloos have a good bonus % for the 5 donut spend. I already had many free from an earlier event, but picked up a few for the percentage anyway!

Is the burning goat a unique item?

I have two giant burning goats and have an option to buy more.
3 rounds and no singing stones. I passed on them last year and regretted my decision. I was really hoping they would reappear this year. Oh well maybe next year.
I also was hoping for a chance at Santa Homer and the Christmas village. I already had Santa Flanders so this did not appear in my holiday mystery box. Again a regretted decision to pass on it in the past.
However I did grab a lot of the returning items with nice rebates. Just couldn’t pass up on the bonus percentage. What’s up with all the new premium items this year offering no bonus?

i didn’t get any of this stuff. A few of these items i had previously won from past events. I do have to admit that this christmas event was pretty fun. Several voiced characters, Jesus, Santa, i mean come on. This was great.
