Happy Saturday! Time for a couple of rare direct gameplay Saturday posts. With this event shortened, and a few holidays we were running out of time to get everything posted before the event ends! So I’ve got the last 2 Act 2 prize breakdowns coming to you today….Santa’s House (this post) and Jack Frost (later today).
Snow is falling in Springfield! It’s finally Christmas time…but Kodos and Kang have their own ideas! Ticked off that they were left out of the Halloween update, our two favorite Rigellians have decided to invade Christmas!
This Event is broken up into 2 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the second act, you’re tasked with collecting Tomes (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth Act 2 Prize awarded at 15,000 is Santa’s House…because the big guy in red needs somewhere to sleep while in Springfield…
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 15,000 you’ll automatically be awarded Santa’s House and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place in Springfield immediately or Store in your inventory for later. Remember if you hit store you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.
Once built (4hrs) Santa’s House does come with a bit of dialogue and a 1-time task for Bart and Lisa. Here’s a look at it now:

Bart: Look, Lis! Santa’s house, right here in Springfield. Wonder why.
Lisa: Guess he got a good deal. Our real estate prices have reached a new low: sub-Staten Island landfill.
Bart: Hey, how about we go inside and tidy up for him? That’s bound to solve any naughty list problems I might be having.
Lisa: And if you find any spare toys lying around..
Bart: Why, leave them right there. But make sure he knows what a good boy am I.

I really like that Santa’s House: matches the Elf Cabins and Reindeer Stables, one of the few buildings in this event that has permanent tasks with it, Santa has a 24 hour task here which is great for people that might feel uncomfortable having him around Springfield for the other seasons of the year, and goes well with existing items like the Lollipop Flowers, Candy Canes, Festive Lampposts and other items from previous Christmas events. I also seen the episode this appeared in yesterday and the one moment that appears in my mind is the mall workers eating the giant Gingerbread House and when Homer is eating it, it collapses and the front of it nearly hits him. 🎄😀🎄😆🎄
Santa is the best character to be added in a while, imo, his house is a natural fit. Really liking this Christmas event.
Santa’s House – let’s just say that I am so glad we have Santa Claus as a Springfield Character (at least he has Tasks at his House, but EA needs to add Character Tasks for other Springfield Characters – like Santa’s Helper Ralphie Wiggum) 🎅👍
