Just a reminder that the Christmas/Invasion Before Christmas Event Ends TOMORROW January 2nd.
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 2 Acts.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Jack Frost, Jesus, Shiva etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game… It will require an app store update to remove everything.
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 2nd is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 2nd and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
Also, we’ve seen with a few recent events EA shuts off the ability to earn one item or another. So don’t bank on being able to get that extra time. Try to earn as much as you can until the event ends.
And don’t forget to craft! Use em or lose em!
So tap those last few funzos and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.
Additional note:
Some of you are asking what you should craft with all of your extra crafting currency. There’s no magic item to craft. There’s no way of knowing what EA might make premium in the future, with a bonus %. Best advice I can give you is craft at least one of everything. If there’s something you think you could use in a particular design craft a bunch of them and stick them in storage.
If you feel like you’ve crafted everything you want, then it’s ok to not use all of your crafting currency. Just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to spend it.
A few others asked me about which gives the most XP when placed in Springfield…it appears as if each item (you can craft multiples of) gives you 100xp when placed in Springfield. So there’s no item that gives you more of an advantage.

Has anyone resolved the zoomed-in issue without an additional app? I dumped half of my pictures to make more room, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no change. I don’t want to change the resolution on my phone or download another app.
Not yet, unfortunately. I’m waiting for the update to see if it’ll be fixed then. It’s almost 11 am here, and I’m still waiting to see the update in the Play Store. Sad you have the same issue. Cross your fingers! 🤞🤞
My game has been zoomed out for the last few months. Yesterday it redownloaded and now it’s not zoomed out anymore. I really liked it zoomed out. Should I try to uninstall and reinstall?
No the zoom out was an error with ea. So they corrected it

There’s no update in the Google Play store yet, so mad dash for those up early or in a different time zone who want to craft, buy or claim a little more still
I guess 8 AM for our hosts or 3 PM UK, the prize track has a timer that was at 3:16 as I started typing,and the store items just say limited time.

So, one of the robo-funzos in my town must have done something very bad, because it has been locked up in my police station! It’s got to be behind bars, because try as I might, I can’t clear it! 😂😂😂 (I think it’s hilarious, and just curious if anyone else has had a similar occurrence.)
Had that a few times myself. Act 2 introduced funzos that attach themselves to characters. ( i had one at the Stonecutters for 2 days ) it happens when you sent a character on a task, and that character is “attacked” then that funzo is locked until the task is completed.
I noticed that, too, with a few of the Monorail characters… mainly Marge. It doesn’t really bother me as I’ve collected everything I can from the event.

I finished another round of the regifting machine recently. Gifts should have reset..however my prize was “10 magical 2×4’s” . I don’t know what they are and can’t find them in inventory. Anybody else received this?

Ok but what did I miss, finished event days ago. Never saw magical 2×4 until today as regifting giftl. I didn’t pick up Jesus is that why?
No. When you clear the re-gifting machine twice the third time through the payout is crafting currency
Wow sorry..I need a bigger phone or glasses or something else. After this entire event..just realized it’s a 2×4 wrapped in a blanket. Guess I thought it was a expressionless baby Jesus.
With the overall event, I am about 95% happy with the 5% being the things that I did not like about the event which I have said before but they are just minor things which include: the difficulty of finding funzos in neighbours’ towns and sometimes in my own town, the lack of permanent tasks at most of the buildings, the lack of bonus percentages with premium decorations, some characters (Buddha, Shiva and Worker Elves) having all of their indoor tasks at the Brown House and I do wish that there were a few more Rigellian items available and that crafting currency was a bit easier to get like in the Homerpalooza event. Other than that I have really enjoyed this event with everything else and I would say that this has been one of the best events 2017 had to offer. 😀
Because I didn’t make much effort in act 1 I’ve only just reached level 12 on crafting. But it’s fine, I’ll only miss the simpsons gingerbread house.
Overall I was happy with this event. I had finished with act 2 very early though, 7 or 8 days in for it to not really be worth the extra effort, multiple bonut rounds appear to be be a thing of the past.
I did make a few purchases of discounted returning items to take my bonus to over 200%, the dunking device animation is great!
My game is taking up a whopping 2.2GB
What is yours?
I think that I shall, (gasp), delete my game and reload it when the update hits. It will be a BIG update,taking time, so why not clear my self some space.
OTOH, it’s in the Cloud, so,I don’t know if it would really do any good.
Have you tried moving it to an SD card ? it always updates to device memory when I’ve tried that which may explain the extra data.
I get 99.29MB + 1.13GB on android tablet and just over at 100MB + 1.24GB on Bluestacks.
I’ve long since given up on getting it to run on an android phone with 2GB system and a 32GB SD card, just loops downloading data/updates and never runs even though it did at first

I have very slow speed. Deleted the game. Reloaded it, which came from the Cloud, and still sits at 2.2 — 90 minutes later.
Luckily, been on the phone with relatives and watching

Anyone else get an update yesterday that took ages to download, only to give me a screen so zoomed in that I can barely keep the Simpsons house safe from attacking funzos. It’s driving me nuts?!
It’s related to the resolution. If you’re on Android then there’s an app called “Game Tuner” that should help. If you’re on IOS or something else… then google how to adjust the resolution settings for a game
Thanks for the suggestion! I just don’t see why I’d have to download something extra when I’ve been playing for 3+ years and have never had this issue. I’m hoping it’ll get fixed with the new update, otherwise I’ll look into that. Silly technology… 🙈
I can confirm that adjusting the resolution solved this issue on my phone. Here’s the thing: DECREASE the resolution ratio to get a wider/better view. It seems countertuitive. As soon as I downloaded the game tuner and made the adjustment, Tapped Out downloaded the smaller update (approx. 1 gig), and I was back where I was a few days ago.
I mentioned it elsewhere, but the absolute highest resolution to use is 1696 x 954. Any higher and it will have the zoom issue. I’m not sure if the Game Tuner app has such specific adjustments, as I can adjust the resolution directly on my Android emulator
I did try the Game Tuner, and it made it tolerable at least, despite my graphics not being as crisp. I think I’m just gonna have to suck it up… I got used to the zoomed out glitch and loved it. Maybe someday if enough people complain they’ll change it back… probably not lol.

This Xmas Event was funny and less anger amongst Tappers over content (our Rigellian Duo with their lol worthy antics made up for a 💩 -y Halloween Event!) and we finally got Santa Claus as a permanent Character 🚀🎅
Obtained all that I wanted (thank you EA for the Extra Land / Free Land Tokens) and feel if a Premium returns? It will be at Discount 👍
I 2nd that “do not waste time attempting to earn Bonuts when you can Kem Farm” (because you can farm more sprinkles in less time!) 🤣
I still wish we had actual Buildings to Craft, but I guess EA ended that (sorry Noobs!) 🤔
I’m so glad event bonuts aren’t my primary source anymore. I will get literally one round of bonuts from this act. (Meanwhile, ten rounds from my KEM build farm each time.)
I liked the event. Love the BS league. Even though I found some of their design choices there questionable (laughing Buddha being called Gautama and Jack Frost quite randomly standing for atheism) I eagerly collected all of them and even had to have their base. The invasion theme was odd but enjoyable. I like the poinsettias.
Bonuts are the worst kind of doughnuts… not only are they slow to get, but they cost a fortune if you want to guess more than once (150k vs 50k each try)
Times have changed. The first event I played in 2013 yielded about 120 bonuts. It’s probably what hooked me.
Oh yeah, I agree… I used to love bonuts! But I get far more from farming now than I ever get from bonuts.
I like the addition of the various religious characters in this game. Though the Buddha looks more like an Nazi skinhead with tattoos. Quite easy event though I did run out of patience and used donuts to purchase additional resources and to rush events.
Any event hints from EA for 2018, looking forward to some new events
