As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So now that the Christmas/Winter event is slated to leave our games today, I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff! This time featuring your Christmas/Winter/Alien inspired designs, as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time! You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:

Great designs everyone, I could not pick just one to be my favourite choice because they all are some really good and different layouts. I am a bit saddened that I didn’t submit mine on time since I spent the last few days trying to get enough crafting currency to get multiples of the items and get the last few prizes from the Re-Gifting Machine, I am sort of glad because some of the areas and items I had I couldn’t think of what to do with them and this post has let me get some inspiration to add to my designs, if I am satisfied with the outcome of the event items then I will try to share them on the Open Thread.

Great designs. Love seeing people’s take. These were very imaginative. I didn’t have mine ready in time, got home and sent in 3 hours too late. I don’t really care, I didn’t have anything good, was just trying to encourage other participation for next time. I hope this many send in designs next event. I sure did love this Funzo alien, bs event.

Christmas left my device, but without an app store update – kinda frustrated, as I didn’t get a chance to use the last of my crafting currency. Oh, well – at least I got most of what I wanted to craft.
I was saving and saving for the orphans. I got to 99 donuts with 20 minutes before the event closed. I stayed up trying to get that one more donut, sending Homer to clean up.. Nothing. I finally was able to get it at the recycling center. But by the time I got I got it, ithe orphans disappeared from my store. Ughhhhhhhhhhh!
The event just left my device with an empty (!) message box. Not only that Wiggops Station is still 5×5 and mostly invisible, the two rightmost strips of land don’t accept water anymore.

Buggy new year! My bugs are also still there… fingers crossed that the next update will give me my character button and Tapping Radius back… it takes sooo long to end their tasks at the moment. 🙁

There are some really good designs. Without more land, I couldn’t really create an organized space for it all. It’ll take a couple more events that give us more land to buy for me to put my Winter scene together…as well as some of the other events too.
I’m glad you said the Christmas event will be leaving today. I’ve been looking in my App Store to see if there was an update yet but there wasn’t. I have this new iPad and everything looks so different and things that used to happen automatically or where to tap to update doesn’t show up like it did on my old pad. I hope when the event leaves I’ll be able to find the update in the App Store.
It will be good to have some downtime since I just threw all my Christmas stuff into a small area that is really crowded and looks bad. Hopefully I’ll have the patience to find a good piece of land and design a good looking Christmas area. Doing a remake is time consuming and kind of a pain having to either move each item across the town one at a time or store each item then searching for each thing one at a time to place.
It would be nice to categorize items in storage by themes or events ( Christmas, Halloween etc.) and place them that way.
I have just had an update ( not in the App Store ) which has put an end to the event. Still got the snow though !!!
