Episode Reminder: Frink Gets Testy

Note: Quick note..the servers ARE DOWN for some players.  There’s nothing you can do but wait until they come back up.  But they are down for some players, not all but some.  And here’s some info from EBRON:
Have some info on the TSTO connectivity problems that some tappers are running into. I have 3 apple devices, all using the same Wi-Fi and modem…only one has received the latest iOS update and that is the device which cannot keep a connection with EA’s server. I have spent some time on the phone with EA tech support this afternoon, and they are investigating the possibility of a glitch/incompatibility with the latest iOS update for iPads. Reports on the EA forum seem to point to an exclusively iPad problem, the reporter’s iPhones don’t seem to be affected. I’ve switched over to my old iPad, which is working fine, but I won’t be updating it till the problem is resolved.

If you cannot connect, please login to the EA TSTO forum and look for the “problem connecting to server” thread that is dated 1/13/18. Add your “me too” in the comments along with your type of device and if iOS, if you have updated recently. This won’t fix anything immediately, but it will give them some idea of the scope of the problem…thanks.

“Fearing that the end of the world is near, Mr. Burns tasks Dr. Frink with testing all of Springfield to determine who is worth saving. The results shake the Simpson family to their core.

So I would like very much to watch The Simpsons episode, which was supposed to begin 11 minutes ago, but instead there is an NFL football game taking up as much time as it feels like… And once these things are done, we still don’t get to cut right over to scheduled programming. Because all the stupid “after game” stuff needs to be shared in loving detail, plus the commentators weighing in on the game that just happened. Ugh. *hate*

  2. Yesterday I cleared the data files on my Fire tablet and then restarted the game, had to re-login and was able to play as normal.
    However, the Bart screen is back again tonight
    Obviously this is not an OS fault but something wrong at EA

  5. I have not be able to connect to My tsto for 3 day now I got a Samsung s8 and my wife go a Samsung s8+ and we both can’t get on my son got a Samsung s7 and he is able to get on is ever time my other son got a Amazon fire tablet and he can get on is ever time as well

  6. My other 2 devices both got hit with the “can’t connect” bug this morning, so I am now totally cut off also. This is almost acting like a virus…too weird 😟.

    • Hope this isn’t EA’s way of ‘going Nuclear’, give us a last big Christmas blow out, mop up our dough for donuts, then say ‘we didn’t end it’, it was a meltdown of catastrophic proportions. Irretrievable. Sorry.

    I got in for a couple seconds this morning but then got booted.

  9. Me too! Not connecting to iPhone 8. Almost two days now. Reinstalled and it worked briefly before kicking me out.

  10. I’m on Android and haven’t been able to get in for 2 days now. I emailled EA and this is what they told me which is obviously wrong since I still can’t get in
    “Thank you for contacting EA Help. My name is Nitish, and I would assist you with your issue today.

    I have reviewed your email and I came to know that you are unable to login. This should not have happened. Don’t worry. We are here to help you.

    Please let me explain, earlier it was an known issue, however this issue has been fixed now. I request you to login again.

    I hope you will be able to login. If the issue persist still, do not hesitate to let us know.

    I look forward to your reply.

  11. “Me too”….ugh. Not connecting on either iPhone or iPad. Hopefully it will be resolved post-haste! EA, we deserve extra donuts for this!

  17. I’m having the same issue. I’ve downloaded the game twice now. A lot of people are saying it’s iPad, but I’m on Android. Even when I contacted EA they sent me the troubleshooting for iOS. Wouldn’t matter anyway, I did all the normal troubleshooting before I contacted them. I hope this gets fixed asap.

  19. Was in the middle of playing the game on iphone when connection was lost earlier today. Did not have the update installed and thought the inability to connect could be due to that. Installed the update and still cannot connect.

  20. Was in the middle of playing the game on iphone and lost connection and have not been able to connect since. Did not have the update installed at first, thought it may be that I needed the update so installed. Still cannot connect.

  21. I am using an Amazon Kindle 8 HD and cannot connect. However, can connect on my iPhone 8. Just did the iOS update last night.

  22. Broken on LG Stylus 3 with Android 7.0 – although I can log in once if I reinstall, it doesn’t save the game’s progress and I can’t connect a second time. But now good on latest Bluestacks with same account. Weirrrd.

      • Thanks – report posted. Although 15 minutes later and after playing a bit on Bluestacks, I tried again on my LG and got a continually spinning donut rather than the server error. So I hit “Force Stop” from the Apps list and started the app again, and was logged in normally woohoo! I could also visit friends and exit and re-start the app and change Wifi base stations without problem. (FWIW I had already reinstalled and tried all those things a few times before to no effect.)

        Perhaps it’s a coincidence, or perhaps playing in Bluestacks a bit did something magic. Or maybe it’ll break again in a few minutes lol. Fingers crossed…

  23. I am using a Nexus 7 and have had the bart screen of death, 24 hours now.

  24. I have tried 3 seperate devices, iPhone 6, an old iPad and an old iPhone 5. None of the devices would let me past the could not connect to server screen. Have deleted and reinstalled on all devices and unfortunately the same results for 24 hrs now.

  25. I’m on my iPhone and haven’t done the latest Apple update and am not able to connect to the server for over a day ugh so frustrating lol 😭😭😩😪. Hope it’s back up soon. Thanks for the info 💜
