Let me preface this by stating that even mentioning it makes me nervous of potential consequences…
I’m a freemium player who only gets extra donuts via the rail yard, daily tasks, & Maggie’s game. I buy what I really want only, as it can take awhile to accrue a good amount of donuts. So, I bought the Stonecutter’s Lodge before The Buck Stops Here event ended because I wasn’t playing when it first was available and I couldn’t pass up the deal. If I recall correctly, it was priced at 140 donuts with a bonus rebate of 40 donuts. I got the notice that I was getting 40 donuts back… but my donut count went right back to 148, which means I got the lodge for free as my donut count was 148 before the purchase. Pretty cool, but I figured there had to be glitch.
Days later, I’m running my Springfielders through the recycling centers like mad before these donuts disappear so I could buy something else I wanted before my game realized it’s mistake & took 100 donuts away.
Today, I finally had enough to get away with it… and get away with it, I did! So now that I have Apu’s Apartment along with Manjula , I’m scared it’ll be taken away from me!
Have I just gotten away with something awesome or am I doomed to lose my practically stolen treasure once EA realizes the mistake?

Spent donuts on the mystery box to get the mastermind volcano lair. I was charged but it never appeared. Anyone else ever have this problem?
Hi Mab! Hi everyone! The whole Hawaii thing was just horrible. I’m sorry your niece and nephew had to go through something so scary. There should be more protocols in place so something like this doesn’t happen. Downsizing is hard, glad you are able to keep your pets, books and plants though. My husband and I went from a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house to a 2 br 1 bathroom trailer with a teeny tiny yard to keep our pet. Good luck. I’m reading about not being able to log into the server. I am not having that problem, but I have been having an issue of having to re-download and log into the game almost every time I want to play.
Contacting EA has proved useless as they say they are “aware” of the problem.
This has been going on for weeks now.
Had anyone figured out a fix for this on their own?

I tried the convention center sale technique and true to the earlier post, I sold it for $37,500, repurchased for $150k and received $150k credit. But the build time is 4 hours? Did EA change this up?
Since I have extra games I tested this. Does not work!!! I did not get the $150K credit. Tried selling the convention center during rebuild, received $37K for selling, did not credit for the second re-buy.
when you sell it there are two of the same Springfield convention centres in the store. Don’t buy the one that doesn’t have a rebate cause you won’t get any money back. Just buy the rebate one. Look in your store if you can’t find it, it should be there
I found it under the Premium tab. And it does work. As of this writing there is 19 hours left. A fairly quick way to earn $37.5K. Thanks.

A footnote:
This issue is affecting some users across a variety of devices in many areas so there does’t seem to be a common link.
If this works for you and you get locked out again it may just be that you’ve been unlucky and the random glitch has struck again.
In that case it’s worth another go, even if it only lets you get in a few rounds, until a permanent solution can be found and applied by the EA team.

We breaking a new record in Perth Australia today, with allready over 60mm of rain. The average for January is about 16 mm! And it’s still pouring down! The last time we had big rain was in August, yet it was no more than 25mm in one day!
I had the cherry on the cake today in this deluge, a flat tyre!!!!

Since the current event isn’t all that demanding, I took a break from the game for a couple of days. Lucky me, it seems I neatly sidestepped all the connectivity issues. 🙂
On sunday afternoon, with nothing to do, I started my game, and pushed a few things around a bit, but I am still not sure how to use the Stonecutter Tunnel(s). At the time, I had about 270 million in-game cash and suddenly decided to try my hand at farming via Rat Trap Trucks (now say that three times fast 😉 ), to get rid of all that cash.
Bought a day for the XP Collider and started placing the Trucks, maybe about ten at a time, and kept tap-tap-tapping on those pesky level-up messages. Got Maggie for my mountain, and made it to the last level, but there was still a lot of money left. After a few hours break I started again, but 50 million cash and about a 1000 donuts later, I gave up. No way I was going to be able to burn through all my cash. Still, it is nice to know that there is a way to earn a few donuts if needed, without the tedious log-in-every-four-hours bit for KEM farming, even though that probably gives you more donuts for less cash.
Anyone else getting the message that you have placed over 7500 items in your game and your game might not perform well? I don’t want to nuke my Springfield and start over. I was just wondering if EA will ever expand this item limit, otherwise, I find it harder and harder to continue playing and I still want to.
The actual limit is around 10,400 items…as long as your game is playing well, don’t worry about it. I’m over 10,300 and my game is ok.
Thanks. Everything seems to be fine for now except for the fact that some of my water has disappeared and I can’t place it in that same spot anymore.
I have had the ‘too many decorations’ message many times too.
My game still performs well, (apart from sometimes the decorations might look a little funny- like it will look like a splodge of colours rather than the item it is meant to be) but scrolling away from it and coming back fixes the problem and that has only happened a couple of times.
I am also having the water problem, I am not able to place water on the far right hand side of my game- I had water there (on the outside border) and it disappeared… it ‘turned into snow’ and I am no longer able to place water there…
I read other comments on this site about it happening to other players too- (Sorry, I don’t remember which thread on here it was on though)
Getting the Bart screen on one of my accounts. Yesterday I managed to get into the game once…but after that I got the Bart screen again. It”s the 3rd day now. I’m on Android.

FREE MONEY TRICK
If you sell the convention centre you will get $37000. Go to the store and the convention centre will be available for $150000 with a rebate of $150000. (i.e. FREE) If you keep buying and selling the convention centre you will make $37000 everytime without losing any money. I’ve been doing this for about 10 minutes and have made $5 Million dollars.
The rebate for the convention centre is only available while this event is on so hurry and you can make millions.

It’s not allowing me to sell the capital city convention center.

I tried Christine’s “fix” (see below) for my connection problem and it does work. 😁👍😁
You need two devices…log on to the game on a second backup device, override the warnings of “another device” and choose “play”.
Immediately go to a neighbors town, don’t do anything else or you may get disconnected. Now go back to your Springfield and you should be able to play normally. Close the game on that device but don’t log out.
Now go to your original device and open the game (and log in if you need to), override the “other device” warnings again
and choose “play”. Immediately go to a neighbors town (just reinforcing the sync) and when you return to your town, you should be back to normal.
On the off chance that you can’t get to a neighbor town on the backup device (before you are dumped), don’t despair, the visit to a neighbor town should still work on your original device when you go back to it.
After this, both devices should be able to connect to the EA server.😄Yippee!
Don’t forget to sync before you quit, or you may find you’re tapping twice or losing out.
Go to krustyland or friends towns map and straight back.
I often then switch off once I see the loading screen say synchronising.
Since I figured and fixed it two and a half days ago I’ve only seen Bart once and retry worked first time.
It’s taken a while and a few conversations to figure out how it worked and make it worth sharing.
Thanks so much that worked for me! I play on both a kindle and Android and lost about a days worth of progress but at least now I think the disconnect issue is resolved.

Has anyone compiled a grand list of “Obscure characters from The Simpsons that aren’t available in Tapped Out yet”? I hereby nominate “Ian, the very tall man” from “22 short films about Springfield” if you disagree, I’ll force you to walk in front of my car and blow kisses to the people laughing at you.
Was able to get number 1, number51, adil, and russ cargill for 230 donuts, so I am pretty happy with this mini event.

So I couldn’t connect to the servers last night, but tonight I can. I didn’t do anything, it seems like it just got fixed. On another note, I just wanted to thank the writers who wrote the dialoge for this mini event. I had zero expectations, I was even worried I wouldn’t enjoy it. But I do! I was a little bit unsure of what the arc of the story would be, (how’s this joke gonna end?) until Birch. Between his dialoge and the quest lines, I’ve been impressed at how clever it is! Thanks EA!

Progress and hearing that people’s problems are being fixed is a very promising sign.
I have a samsung galaxy j7 perx, which was the one that had trouble logging in. It never affected my Kindle Fire 8 tablet (B town). And like I said, I didn’t have to do anything I just waited for it to be fixed.

I play on an iPhone 6S and haven’t been able to log on in 3 days. Customer service said sorry it is a game bug but here is 20 donuts for your trouble. Won’t start on iPad either.
I have a new iPad that has repeatedly gotten the “cannot connect” message. Deleting and reinstalling the game and then playing anonymously allows me to get into my other games for awhile (4th time in a couple of days). It seems to go into “cannot connect” mode right after I cash in a building with a lot of characters.
Hi everyone, Sideshow Bob question. I’m on level 939, have tried all of the usual tricks (short of nuking/storing the whole town), and even “won” the Captain Bob skin in a Mystery Box a few months ago. I feel like I’ve been patient long enough. Two questions:
1. Has anyone had success getting tech support to launch the “Flaw and Order” questline for you?
2. How do I get a rep on the phone? Support just keeps forcing me into email communication only and their only solution is “here’s 30 donuts for your trouble, go post on the forums”.

I juuust recently got that event and I’m level 50.
How far along are you on squidport? Im also level 4 on the redwood quest and level 2 on the burns quest and still at the ring toss game for krustyland and totally avoiding that part of the game for now. try putting the DMV in your town incase it’s in storage. I was doing a quest that required it when the bob quest came up. Homer had to renew his license and eventually got tobacco banned to get back at patty and Selma. I’m thinking it’s a building in your inventory that needs to be out to trigger the event. Good luck.

The only building in my inventory is the IRS building, but I’ve placed and stored that a million times. Squidport and Krustyland were done at least six months ago and I finished my Redwood and Money Mountain both a few weeks ago. My only outstanding quests are a few upgrades to Springfield Heights buildings. I’ve repeatedly stored and replaced the penitentiary, gone to Krustyland and back, gone to Other Springfield and back, etc. Nothing seems to work!
Hmm I only have the first IRS upgrade unlocked. The quest was catch sideshow bob 3 times and he showed up in my Springfield and I got him twice and Bart got to stay home from school and I found bob twice in the other Springfield when friend tapping and I completed the quest. Maybe that’s it? Maybe you need to tap on bob in the other Springfield a handful of times before the quest triggers? It’s easy money and doesn’t count as a friend tap and you can reinterpret even if you’ve already tapped that day and get hun again and he’s generally in the same area, try that?

I found Bob the first time after or starting Flaw and Order Pt 3. It
then took over 2 months to get him the fifth time.
Unfortunately I don’t know what kicks if off. Do you have any outstanding quests to do or characters to pick up? I wonder if you have to find him in your friends town a number of times first.

Thanks for the link, but sadly I’ve read through this numerous times and tried every tip suggested. My existing quests can’t possibly be the issue because all I have left are a couple of Springfield Heights upgrades.
My question is more whether anyone has had true success talking to an EA rep. Right now I have a case escalated, but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

I called them once (when my game was frozen due to a Monorail glitch)
but.. I had to ‘open up a ticket’ and then they emailed me.
The only number I was able to find online is: 1800 894 823
(and then it is option 1 for a new ticket or 2 for an existing ticket)
I’m in Australia though so i’m not sure if that phone number works for everyone?
Also not sure if they will direct you into an email communication, but if you have been unable to find a phone number,I hope this helps. 🙂
In what month does the snow usually disappear in the simpsons game? Is it a march 21 thing or after Valentine’s Day or what’s the common date we get our grass back?
If memory serves me right, I remember we got our green Springfield back when the Christmas event was over. Since we don’t have an app update to remove any of the current events going on, I’m guessing the next app update for the game will remove the snow, but EA could decide to keep the snow around longer. Not sure. It is really weird when we lose the snow though. You get used to the Fall scene and then the snow so when the town goes back to normal it takes a little time to get used to it again.

Congrats on a crazy final 3 minutes and 1 second, that saw the Vikings lead, Saints lead, Vikings lead, Saints lead, and the Vikings win on an epic final play. I’m still sad though.
Such a nailbiter! Your Saints played a helluva game. I think it was easily the best game I’ve ever seen.
