Bart Royale Act 1 Tips

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Popping in real quick with a couple of tips for Act 1 of Bart Royale.  And yes this list of tips will include those characters that have a task at the Mega Playscape & can earn you event currency.

So let’s get to it….

Who can Fortify? Who can Assault?  aka who earns event currency…

So the Adults Fortify, the Kids Assault, here’s the list for act 1:

As of today, 1/25/18….this will change as the event progresses

Fortify (Adults)
Homer
Moe
Cletus
Krusty
Willie
Pyro (Act 1 prize track, last prize)
Hellfish Grampa (Premium)
Hellfish Burns (Premium)
Crazy Iguana Lady (Premium)

Assault (Kids)
Nelson
Ralph
Bart
Milhouse
Martin
Wendell (Premium)
Erik (Premium)

The kids have an animated Assault task for Act 1, the Adults do not.

Finding Tappables

The tappables gravitate to the Mega Playscape when your Springfield is open.  So just leave your town open for a little while and you’ll be able to clear them all pretty quickly.

And yes, there is a message that will appear that says when you’ve cleared them all.

Also if you’re daily task is to clear them you can tap the “Do It” button there to find them.

Defensive Bonus

A full post on this will be up, likely next week, but you’ll want to focus on increasing your defensive bonus, not only for the questline but to help you move through the prize track.

Craftables will increase your bonus, as long as they’re in the zone.  So focus on leveling up your crafting, but also craft items that make sense for the bonus.  (for example it’s better to craft trenches for 100 scraps and 0.50% bonus, then it is to craft fences for 75 scraps and a 0.25% bonus.  Look at the craftables as you increase your levels to see what gives the most bonus for the number of scraps that make sense)

Your max defensive bonus for Act 1 is 20%.

Falling Behind the Calendar Early

Don’t worry about it.  This event is designed so you earn more currency as you progress.  So you may be a day or two behind right now, but as long as you continue to increase your defensive bonus and send your characters frequently in another couple of days you’ll be ahead of the calendar.

So don’t sweat it!  It starts out slow for many players…it’s designed that way. By this time next week you’ll all be telling me how easy it was.

Again the tricks to earning event currency: increase defensive bonus and log in every 4hrs to send/clear characters and tappables.

And that’s it my friends, a few quick tips to keep you rolling with this event!

Do you have any other tips you can recommend to your fellow tappers? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I would add one advice – I placed Mega Playscape outside my town, in area cleared behind the Chinese wall. I started to have problems with tapping the Ruffians, they were all over the city and did not seem to be able to find the way to Mega Playscape (often standing behind unclared area, not sure how to get over it) – not even if I left my game 5 minutes waiting. I got to the situation where I was not sure if I will be able to get Pyro without use of donuts.

Well, did not want to spoil the layout of the town, but finally I stored part of the outer city wall (Chinese wall) and made road that ends next to Mega Playscape. And hordes of Ruffians started to move towards the Mega Playscape immediately. So if you want to build your post-apocalyptic area outside town, build road to it temporarily, you will not have to seek every single Ruffian all over your town.

  2. How do I upgrade the playground equipment? The quest tells me to upgrade to 5%.

  3. Any insight to Luftwaffles?

  4. Just realized that my Battle Dome gives me bricks (for crafting items) every 4 hours…

  5. How to make my Mega Playscape look like the one in the Defensive Bonus Guide pic ? What are the evolution criteria ?

  6. At the moment my playground has a bonus percentage of “11.500001%”. Does anyone know where that odd number comes from?

  7. I think I get how the bonus works – of the playground. – get the crafted materials into the 2 block zone surrounding it, but I don’t think it works for me. The pay out stays the same 5 for kids and adults per 4 hours, 8 for premium characters – I alos don’t see these grey tiles thing. I don’t see anything where I can find the bonus percentage either, and I’ve crafted quite a few trenches already. I just don’t get it.

Also it seems that the questline has disappeared altogher from my list.

Can someone help? Do I need EA for this, or am I not yet at the right crafting level? I’m at crafting level 3, nearly 4.

    • The bonus is max 20%, so the individual payouts will appear to remain the same. In total though, it should go up. You can test this by keeping track of the increases as you add bonus. Write down your values before and after each collection and the bonus at the time. Over time you should see the difference.

    • Have you gone into selection mode? You have to press down on the playscape to select it in order to see the defensive bonus area around it.
Then you can place the bonus items within that zone. You should be seeing the bonus percentage at the top of the screen even if it’s zero, but only when in selection mode. Once you leave selection mode, that info disappears.

  8. If I purchase Greta will she help with the event at all?

  9. When I go into my SF, I first clear the adults and children but before I start clearing ruffians, I craft something using the currency I’ve just earned. That way when I clear the ruffians they are multiplied by the slightly higher bonus.

Or if I’m very close to having enough to craft something, I first clear enough ruffians to craft it, place it and only then do I clear the adults/children so I earn a little bit more than I would have if I’d cleared them before crafting.

I haven’t done the maths (and I’m not going to even try to do it) so I don’t know if it makes a significant difference to my earning but over the course of the event it might start to add up…

  10. Do not claim Daily Challenge after completing. Wait 2 days to collect with a higher bonus %.

  11. Anyone else not receiving a message when you’ve cleared all the tappables in your town? Usually they all swarm the playscape when I leave my town open but I never receive the message so I’m constantly searching my town for strays and never find any.

    • I find my stuck among tightly packed items (houses, trees, etc). Use the move tool and hide everything but people.

    • The old crafting locate still works, first see how many junk you have then look at how many you have to spend to level up the crafting, if what you have is more build something to level up, if what you have is less than what is needed then click the button that showed how many the next level is you will get a pop-up with 2 options spend doughnuts (not what we want) and one that says “do it”, click do it and it will take you to a ruffians just click exact center of screen they can hide behind buildings and repeat till you get all cleared message

  12. After reaching the 5% bonus, is it better to continue until the max 20%? Or is it better to hang on to crafting currency until the next act, where we might have a new battle area that also has a % bonus we will have to reach for the storyline?

    • You can always reposition your crafted items to be inside another battle area’s bonus zone, so craft whatever you want now.

  13. It’s an amusing event, but was hoping they would follow Christmas’s lead with a shorter time period and less grinding every 4 hours.

  14. Also another thing I noticed is that when creating junk etc for the rail yard it doesn’t say jobs available or generating etc it’s just blank has anyon else noticed this ?

  15. I have premium characters, yet they are no help. Why did I pay for them?

  16. I cant believe I’m such an idiot … wasted so much crafting supplies during christmas and now wasted ~400 on this event thinking you had to purchase the level before you could craft at it … not realizing you can craft items to build up to that level ….

PS. Returning player after about 3 years absence and started up again beginning of November … LOVE the site and check daily for tips and tricks ….
