Should I Spend Donuts on the Returning Hellfish Bundle,Battle Dome or Enriched Learning Center?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The kids of Springfield are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore!  Time for a Battle Royale of epic proportions…kids vs adults.  The soul of Springfield is on the line!   So grab those sprinkles because the store is stocked with returning battle inspired items to fill your Springfield with!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Returning Hellfish Bundle,Battle Dome or Enriched Learning Center to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

Item: Hellfish Bundle
Includes: Skins: Hellfish Grampa, Hellfish Burns (BOTH earn event currency at Playscape), Hellfish Monument & Hellfish Treasure Chest
Cost:
190 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 150 Donut
Earns: Monument is the only item that earns anything, $500, 45xp/24hrs
Previous Post: Should I Buy Hellfish
What Does It Do:
Skins for Grampa and Burns, and two decorations for Springfield.  Both are animated when tapped.  Plus, for this event, Grampa and Burns will earn event curreny in their Hellfish uniforms
My Opinion On It Now:
It’s better priced now than it was last time it showed up in Springfield.  If you’ve been eyeing this one, now is the time to grab it.  But if you’re short on donuts & aren’t a big fan of spending 100+ donuts on skins…you may want to pass.  Personally, I picked this one up this time around. (i passed at 190 donuts)

Hellfish Bundle Leaves Stores When the Event Ends

Item: Battle Dome
Cost:
 150 Donuts
Earns: During the event it’ll earn 5 Scraps (crafting currency)/4hrs. After event it’ll just have character tasks there
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do:
Hunger Games style tasks for Bart, Martin & Milhouse
My Opinion On It Now:
It’s still overpriced, even with it’s scrap earning.  Pass on this one…not worth 150 donuts.

Battle Dome Leaves Stores When the Event Ends

Item: Enriched Learning Center & Leopold
Cost:
 125 Donuts
Earns: $200, 22xp/8hrs
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do:
Character/Building Combo (No help for event)
My Opinion On It Now:
125 donuts for a character/building combo is still a good buy any day.  Not a bad pickup.

  1. Well Patric made me change my mind on the Hellfish Bundle. I still think it is overpriced, but it is nice to see Grandpa in uniform since he is always telling war stories.

  2. Enriched Learning Center & Leopold – this doesn’t help with the Event, but 125 Donuts is a bargain for a Character / Building combo!👍

  3. I previously bought Leopold, I got the dome in some mystery box, only thing I can buy is the Hellfish, and I probably won’t. Burns has SO many skins, and Abe has enough for me. The decorations look small and fairly uninteresting. Meh. I don’t buy things just to help with events, either, I like to enjoy them after an event is done. Hopefully something more interesting is on the way.

  4. Leopold voice is great!

  5. I got the Battle Dome in a mystery box and wasn’t pleased. It’s huge and uninteresting. I’m glad I’m getting some event benefit, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it. I already have Leopold and do recommend him. I enjoy his vocalizations. I wanted the Hellfish bundle last time but couldn’t justify the price. I think it’s still a bit overpriced, but I went ahead and grabbed it.

  6. Bought the hell fish combo straight away, think I will buy playscape first then upgrade defence area to 20% as I am well ahead of the calendar and just got Sargent Bart, the dialogue is hilarious 😂😂😂

  7. How big is the dome?

  8. I got the Battle Dome in a Mystery Box and am very happy it was included in the event payouts! OT – anyone notice the PolyVac central congregation point is off center to the right? Confusing but manageable!

    • I too got the Battle Dome in a Mystery Box, I think it was a Halloween one from last year, and I’m also glad that EA are using old buildings, characters and costumes to help with the event which they should do for every major event.

  9. Does the battlescape craftable item do anything? I’m guessing the skylight is just a decoration to?

If not I’ll just keep buying trenches until I hit 20%

    • Yes, skylight is just vanity-decoration. It’s a returning item.

Consider buying Playscape Lookout and putting it on the corner of the defense area. It’s a 0.75% bonus item which uses up only 1x square of the space as opposed to 0.50% bonus for 2x squares for the trenches.

As long as any part of the item is on the defense area, it’ll count.

      • I thought about saving for the playscape, it’s good to hear it adds a bonus % since it’s not advertised as doing so.
But my personal plan is to increase my % upto 20% with trenches (or close to it) before buying the playscape.

      • Arris, I think you and bobq are talking about 2 different items. bobq is asking about the battlescape, which looks like a boat and costs 600 debris, not the playscape lookout for 150 debris. Or maybe you weren’t trying to answer his question about the battlescape and were just giving generic defensive advice. I didn’t want others confused as I have the same question as bobq and would like to know before spending that much debris on something that’s strictly a decoration.

        • Yes, I was responding to the “keep buying trenches until I hit 20%” part of the post.

If you happen to have between 150-200 scraps at some point, then it’s better to buy the Lookout so that the extra 0.25% bonus applies to the next collection.

    • The Battlescape boat playground has a set of tasks(quest) and is animated when in use (the port holes all open and guns shoot out of them). It pays the event kids in event currency and other kids in game cash. I still recommend building your 20% bonus percent first…usually no new craftables in acts 2 and 3, so no hurry on the boat.

  10. Leopold is so hilarious! He is Chalmers on steroids 🤣

    • Alissa – is there any reason why whenever you release the assault era and fortifiers, you also find that the lookouts and barriers that are ON the mat have moved or maybe even disappeared? It really rattled me once I had finally earned the three lookouts to find one of them missing the next time I tapped out

Also why are some people buying stuff with debris? What’s that all about? Thanks!

      • I am not Alissa.

      • The playscape graphic changes as people defend and attack, but this is just it’s look and means nothing.
The debris or scrap is the crafting currency and can be used for trenches and barrier fences and lookouts that will stay where you put them and increase the payout from playscape tasks by boosting to up to 20% bonus as long as they are placed so at least some of the item is on the blue defensive area.
