Just a reminder that Act 1 of the Bart Royale/Homergeddon Event…Ends TOMORROW February 6th at 0800 GMT (3am ET).
Once the Act 1 is over you will no longer be able to earn Duff Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone! (but remember to keep earning Duff if you haven’t unlocked all of the prizes because the closer you get to unlocking the next prize the lower the donut cost would be should you need to purchase it when the next Act starts…)
Crafting will STILL be available in the next Act.

Be ready for the Act 2 to start bright and early at 0800 GMT (3am ET) tomorrow morning (February 6th)….
For anyone who is interested, act 2 starts with homer doing a 6 second task, all the kids in Springfield (including guys like dolph, squeaky voice teen and rod) do a 6 second task to overtake the base. It also lets you build the new junk base.
Now with this new junk base you can move all your base bonus % from the playscape over to the junk base and have it already maxed out at 20% if you got that far. All the same characters (so far) battle at this new base. And the battle is 4 hours again.
NOTE: it is wise to move all your base % over before sending your character to attack and fortify the junk base, it gives you an extra 10 currency per character if you have the 20% maxed out and moved over to the new base.
I just moved the playscape out and the junk base in. They both have the same size area and max out at 20%.

Went to bed last night only needing about 500 duff beers. Tried to get into the game with 15 mins to spare to finish the act off, that was 45mins ago & I still haven’t got in yet.

I’m looking forward to Act 2 …. kept Tasks et al ready to ‘cash in’ on (for that quick boost in earning Event Currency) … hope I’m not too distracted by the Colbert Show 🤣

It’s been pretty easy for me as I unlocked Pyro with 3.5 days to spare. All questlines are done, so I’ve just been waiting for Act 2 and collecting lots of bonuts

I’m not going to make it to Pyro on Duff alone, but he’ll be under 40 donuts, so I guess I’ll cough up the sprinkles. Debating getting a currency-earning premium character for Act 2.
Well another Bracket Battle character joins Wendell in entering the game in this event, as Jeremy Jailbird is now available in Act 2.
I’m currently 3000 duff beers away from unlocking Pyro, donut cost at the current moment Is 45. I’m obviously going to try to lower that amount. My main question Is for those that have unlocked Pyro, Is he worth the 45 donuts?
That’s cheap for a full character… whether you think it’s worth it or not is a personal choice.

Disappointed I’m not getting Pyro but started the Act 2 days late. Maybe I’ll get him if he’s <50 donuts by the end but there's likely other fun stuff to get instead! Hoping to get enough donuts for the Hellfish Bundle.
I have my head start for today! It will start at 4 pm our time! So excited! I just got Iguana Crazy cat lady as well in the Vault whoohoo! She earns currency. I hope she will in act 2 as well! Whooohoooooo!
I almost have enough scrap for the Truck Shack. Should have it before the next act starts. Not a bad event. I like the new Event Scheme

The Maggie skin is awesome. And nice to have a new skin for Lindsey Naegle. As far as premium goes, another Bracket Battle character joins the fold with Jeremy Jailbird now in the game.
I’m really excited about the Maggie skin since I wasn’t around when star suit Maggie was released. I’m hoping the Lindsey naegle skin as well as Maggie’s are premium. Do you know if they are?
They don’t earn anymore than regular Maggie or Lindsey right now. But they may get upgraded in the future if they are brought back for donuts.
If you’ve completed everything and are waiting for Act 2 to begin, here are a few tips to consider:
1 – After 5pm ET today, stop tapping on Ruffians. At the advertised build rate of 1 every 10 minutes, you’ll need 10 hours for your Springfield to generate the maximum of 60 Ruffians in time for the 3am ET Act 2 kickoff tomorrow morning. (30 in-game, 30 banked). That way you’ll have the maximum number available as soon as Act 2 begins to start advancing along the prize track.
2 – Don’t tap on / collect your daily task. In fact, Saturday should’ve been the last time you did that. If you have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday’s tasks ready to cash in, you’ll get a huge jump on the Act 2 prize track.
3 – Don’t tap on your neighbors after 3am ET today (I know, it’s nearly 12 hours too late for this advice). You’ll want to go in and tap on them after 3am to start advancing through the Act 2 prize track, and it would be best to be able to do that right as the Act begins rather than wait for your 24h timer to reset.
4 – Assuming you’ve maxed out your bonus percentage at 20%, hold off on spending Rubble to craft more items for now. Wait for Act 2 to begin to see if there are more options to increase your bonus percentage. You can always craft the items you want in Act 2 and Act 3 – there’s no rush to do it now, and no benefit if you’re already at 20%… while there *might* be a benefit in spending that currency in a later Act.
5 – If you’re more than 1000 beers away from a Bonut redemption, you should probably stop chasing that and begin hoarding for Act 2. Not counting character tasks, you’ll only get 900 beers if you tap all 30 neighbors AND clean out 60 Ruffians (assuming all of those options are available to you), and will only earn 60 beers per hour from spawning Ruffians. Right now, 12 hours out, that’s a theroetical maximum of 1620 beers, and will leave you with no surplus crafting currency for Act 2. If it were me and I were more than 1000 beers away, I would stop.
I didn’t think I was going to get Pyro when I lost those 14,000 Duffs early on to the update glitch. But I got him two days ago. Slaghold, Erik and Wendell helped, but it was mostly just grind, grind, grind that got me from behind.
I’m not going to get Pyro. I played more than the usual 4 hours so I dunno what’s wrong. He’s too minor a character for me to waste donuts on.
In one game I had the 10 non premium characters and no premium items and still was able to get Pyro yesterday.
I also have the option of buying a “Chopper ride” for 45 Donuts, says it gives 2% bonus money and XP to all jobs + Vanity, anyone else? Good deal? I have 131 Donuts with no plans for them. Says it will go away from the shop in 17 hours..
Sometimes they offer all the limited items again at the end of Act 3.
A little less payout than average on the XP% scale, so I would only get it if you really like it. 🤷♀️(Average is 2% for 40 donuts)
I am sooooo happy Act 2 starts tomorrow. This means I have a fighting chance to get all of the items without spending donuts. I am away in 10 days for a wedding reception/touristy stuff and have limited interwebs access.
Not sure if I’ll get Pyro today. If not, am I best to keep earning Duff until Act 2 starts then spend donuts or wait until the last minute then spend donuts?
