Should I Spend Donuts on the Ice Bishop of Beverly Hills and the Refrigeratorium?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The kids of Springfield are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore!  Time for a Battle Royale of epic proportions…kids vs adults.  The soul of Springfield is on the line!   So grab those sprinkles because the store is stocked with battle inspired items to fill your Springfield with!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Ice Bishop of Beverly Hills and the Refrigeratorium to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this chilly duo…

Pros
-Comes with a questline
-Will Help earn event prize currency (his questline AND task to Assault/Fortify the bases)
-All indoor tasks are at Refrigeratorium, but it’s not animated during those.  Is animated for his 4hr visual task there

Cons
-Not voiced
-A bit pricey for a one-off character (although cheaper than some others), but this has become the normal price range for combos these days…
-Refrigeratorium is not animated when in use, unless it’s for Ice Bishop’s 4hr visual task

Final Thought
Premium:
A fun pick up.  He is a one-off character, but his tasks are amusing and he’ll help with the event.  Not a bad buy if you want him.

Freemium:
I’d pass on this one.  The Refrigeratorium is huge, it’s pricey for a one-off & his tasks aren’t that great.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I’m on the fence.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).  Also, this is one of those items that will help you earn more currency…so the earlier you pick it up the more beneficial it is to you.  So try to make your final decision before this weekend…so that it’ll help you the most.

Here’s a look at his tasks…

  1. Ice Bishop and Refrigeratorium
I was all set to spend sprinkles on this Character / Building combo until I figured out the Refrigeratorium is too large for my Outland zone (an I agree that this “cool” themed Building deserved ice tiles / ice road) 🤔

Nice try EA (I don’t know if anything will top Wendell in this Event)

  2. I’m tired of huge buildings, structures, etc., so I’ll pass on this one, just as I did with the Outlands sign, which is a shame as I’d like to have both of the characters.

  3. Finally decided to get it …was disappointed, tho, that it won’t go on ice tiles…that would seem like a no brainer. Boo…bad EA☹️.

    • I always love your designs! Great idea in using the dilaidated monorail station and broken down airplane.

      • Actually, my favorite part so far is Grub’s…I added it onto the broken Lard Lad, and of course we needed public bathrooms…😄

        • Finally, a use for those things that the monsters create! Love it! And I wish I had picked up some pagan fences now too. 🙂

          • I’m definitely a fence junkie…every event I try to get at least 30 pieces of whatever fence is being offered. Three different fences this time, so kind of a challenge…we’ll see if the crafting dollars go far enough🤷‍♀️.

    • I’m with ya on that. I had a design set up with ice tiles, but nooooo…EA threw me a curve ball.

    • Hey there neighbor, I love your designs, I always look to your town for inspiration when designing my new “event” areas!

      • Thanks for the nice words…this one has been a challenge, since I wasn’t crazy about the theme of the event. Once I got started, tho, I got a little carried away. Will drop by tonight to see what your designing 😄.

        • mine is nothing much to look at yet, I’m going to start designing it more now that I have almost everything I’m going to get from this event.

  4. Neither. They’re both crap. Ugh.

  5. SO is there any benefit to attacking the ruffian fort? Or can I just keep fortifying my other places so that they’re in their best shape when the event comes to an end?

With the exception of completing a daily challenge that requires attacking a base, I don’t see why we would need to.

  6. So ready for the event to be done! I want my land back!……

That said im totally still working for burns mansion

  7. That thing was huge. Thanks to EA being so stingy with land now I couldn’t find room for it

  8. I usually buy all the characters, but I’m just not sure about this one…

  9. Hmmm…well…got it..love it…can’t wait for the event to be over, so I can finish my Outlands area, without the playground clutter.

  10. We’re starting to see more “one off” characters. I know they’re not going to completely run out of new characters to add to the game any time soon, but do you think the one off characters that many people may not have much of an attachment to will be the norm from now on?

This event really hasn’t been an inspiring one IMO, especially with Act 3 being a repeat of fortify and destroy over and over again. I kind of wish they’d have done a Valentine’s Day full event instead.

    • The Ice Bishop is a BIG meh for me, simply because he’s a one-off character (lets just simply call them OOC). I wish the Simpsons creators & producers would start using OOCs more than once now. I mean there are only a handful of rare OOCs that create a lasting impression on viewers.

So it feels weird now to see these OOCs roaming in our TSTO towns, when they have not made a re-apperance on the show since their original debut

I agree with cjmartin04. A Valentine’s event would have been much better!!! And why is EA throwing these OOCs at us, when they still haven’t released Sarah Wiggum??

  11. I looked at this for a minute and decided to stop waiting for Jimbo to be offered with a rebate. And now my pants are chafing me.

  12. No %bonus, no buy. I got the dodge ball boy and very happy with him. I keep sending him to do the interview for a school paper, lisa earns extra 90 gas cans with that 4hr task. Trifle, but it really adds up.

    • How do you keep on “sending him to do the interview for a school paper”? When he has done the task once, how can he do it again?

I have Erik but I haven’t started his personal quest yet. So if you can answer the above, I would like to get Lisa involved in earning currency as well

      • It’s a 2 part quest, interview with lisa and at the tv station. do the school paper job then when you hit do it on his quest icon just look down and pick the school paper task again and again – I’ve been doing that for a couple of weeks now but make sure Lisa is always free

  13. would you rather have Ice Bishop or Peta and Pita?

  14. I feel like this is one I would normally hesitate to get (and probably should have) but I got it instantly.
