Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
In the midst of all the Heisting, Jesus has come back to Springfield to remind us that it is, in fact, the Easter Season. That’s right, with Easter 4 days away it’s time to get a little holy (just a little…it is Springfield after all) with several returning Easter-ish themed items in our stores.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
There are a total of 7 returning items, either from Easters past or just something to remind you of the resurrection. I’m going to break these up into 2 different returning posts because, well, it’s a lot of content and let’s face it..it’s still lent we all should be punished a little bit…
Anywho, for this first post, I’m going to tackle the God portion of the returning content…as in Easter Island and the son of (and Alien Son of)…

Earns: Manger earns $90,10xp/4hrs
What Does It Do: Typical building/character combo. Building earns income, the character earns at a premium rate, the character has tasks at building to animate it.
My Opinion On It Now: So back in December, when this first hit, it was during the Christmas event which I loved! I bought every item that popped into the store, so I got this. However, now in the light of Easter…I do think this is a pass at the 150 donut pricetag. So now, I stand by my freemium player analysis…pass.
Item: Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Swing
Cost: 199 Donuts
Earns: $90, 10xp/4hrs

What Does It Do: Typical building/character combo. Building earns income, the character earns at a premium rate, the character has tasks at building to animate it. Although his animated tasks are awesome.
My Opinion On It Now: I know 199 donuts is steep, but buy it. If you didn’t get it last time, buy it. This is probably one of my favorite combos to hit the game in a really long time. Funny questline, great animations and as an added bonus if you put the Swing in the ocean (on Boardwalk or Pier tiles) like I did, whenever Jesus finishes a task he’ll walk on water… Buy it. (even Cranky says to buy it)
Item: Easter Island God
Cost: 100 Donuts, 50 Donut Rebate, NET 50 Donuts
Earns: 3% bonus on all cash and XP

What Does It Do: Animated when tapped, comes with some dialogue. Otherwise…standard decoration
My Opinion On It Now: At 50 donuts it’s well priced for bonus % and amount of Space in Springfield it takes up (it’s 3×3 in size). If you’re a bouns % collector I’d pick this up. Good buy at 50 Donuts…

just had to get Jesus, I regretted not buying him last year ~ still way too many donuts though, that hurts.. should have been a bonus there as well, but he’s to good a character to pass up on 🙂

I put my Jesus swing up in spring field heights up against the mountain so when he does his 4 hours task, it looks like he is laying on top of the mountain.
You know, I’ve been wondering where to stick Jesus’ swing …
You have convinced me to move my Jesus Swing in the Ocean area.
I’ve seen many characters walk on water, but Jesus deserves the right to do it on a consistent basis! 😇

Yes. There will be SIB posts for ALL new items. Always (unless I’m lying in a ditch somewhere).
It doesn’t leave stores until the end of the event so it hasn’t been a priority for me (time sensitive always goes first). However, my plan is for it to go up tomorrow (Thursday). As long as I get to finish writing it today…

For anyone who has her, is Shary Bobbins (125 donuts) worth picking up? I started way back during “that” Easter event and never had a chance to get her before.
It kind of depends how much you like the character. I enjoy her flying umbrella task although that is a 24 hour one. Just going by her price as a premium character, she’s probably overpriced since she doesn’t come with a building or decoration.
So, my Springfield Tire Yard is now giving me Red Participation Ribbons instead of cash. Is this a glitch or something new? AND (to add to the weirdness), when i logged in to my Springfield today, I got all the closing dialog for the past 10 events. Something is afoot… 🙂

Thank you Alissa. I also noticed that when i tap on in-game currency on a property, it only clears THAT property, nothing around it. I saw a post (from another Neighbor) about an EA patch for this coming soon? Can you confirm this?
I cannot. I have not spoken to EA about it. But from comments, I have seen players say EA told them a patch was coming.
This is a little disappointing to only see the Easter tree bundle available for me. Maybe they will still have a little quest line for Easter or something.
You could dump the Easter trees in Krustyland.
Does Jesus or anybody else use the office at the top of the escalator? I see him in the swings all the time

I am excited that Jesus is back!!!! I missed him for Xmas so I am super excited that I can get him now. Wish I could get Santa in July. That would make me real happy!

Jesus has just been sat on his swing at the back of my ice rink since Christmas.
I don’t spend my donuts without a lot of consideration usually, but Jesus and Bleeding Gums were purchased without hesitation.
No worries….Wook did the same thing once he realized it makes Jesus walk on water lol

While salvation is a “free gift”… Jesus himself is obviously NOT in TSTO!!! But, I get such a nice feeling every time I’m exploring around my own Springfield…and “bump into” Jesus, I think it was donuts well-spent! Just thought I’d mention this…for any on the proverbial “donut fence”!

I have seen the French police men walk across the water.
There’s also a bundle of five Easter Trees for only one donut. You can buy multiples of them.
They can be placed in Krustyland.
It was also 2 years ago that one Easter Tree cost 5 donuts and now they are five Easter Trees for 1 donut.
There was also a time when they cost in game money…

Anyway, I tapped so quickly that I wasn’t able to read the full message when they announced the Easter items. “Something something slimy donuts.” Did EA give away slimy donuts for Easter? I don’t know how many donuts i had when the message popped up, so I don’t know.
No donuts, they were simply telling you new items were in the store
Really? I could have sworn my doughnut total went up after the splash screen. Wishful thinking and tapping immediately upon waking, I guess.
You know, I stand corrected. You get 10 free donuts with it. It’s so ambiguous and hard to notice if you don’t keep complete track of your donuts. But yes, 10 donuts.
My donut tally appeared to go up by ten. Did I mistake this minor increase? I’m sure I had 92 before and 102 after I got the message.
