Let the heisting begin! The latest event in Springfield, The Springfield Job, is all about pulling off elaborate Heists…well not too elaborate Homer is involved…in a bet between two Nuclear Power Plant owners.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Wheels McGrath and the First Class Lounge to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this machete man to your town…

Pros
-Comes with a questline (which can wait until the event is over to complete)
-Helps with Heists, earns at a premium rate
-Voiced
-Will use First Class Lounge for tasks
-First Class Lounge is animated (meh) when in use (lights on, door opens, plane lightly shakes. Sign lights up)
Cons
-Heavily priced for a one-off character from a recent episode (although what do we expect in prices these days?)
-The Lounge has a large footprint, at 12×9
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
It’s not a bad buy. Fairly average in price. It’s nice that he helps with the event and he’s voiced, but it’s a pretty standard combo. Loads of good stuff still coming up in the game and Wheels will be around until the end. So unless you’re worried about prize track currency (and Wheels is a better buy for that than the Calabresi bundle), I’d pass for now. See where you stand on getting him when the event nears then end…
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I picked this one up. Lounge works nicely by my Airport. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Plus this is one of those items that’ll help with the event, so if you’re planning on getting it to it sooner rather than later….

The building is kinda ugly. I went for the Pope, since the Cathedral is beautiful. I didn’t waste any donuts on the last big game quest because all the buildings were trashy. I like my Springfield to look more dignified than that.
My airport is already cluttered with too many flying machines so I have to pass on this guy unless my kem farms put me way ahead by the end of the game.

I’m struggling to earn 69 more donuts to get johnny tight-lips and the casino, but i just hit a brick wall while kem farming, (500000 xp per level), and i’ve slowed down. this week i have no donuts on the monorail, and to be honest, i’m scared about my prospects of getting my prize, since i only have 106 donuts. Can i do it? any tips?
There’s another Pro to this combo: it enables a 4 hour premium-paying task for the Seniors character group (https://tstoaddicts.com/2016/09/30/chart-alert-character-groups/)to “Party at the First Class Lounge”. That means a good bunch of freemium characters that have no premium skins can get at least that premium task – Agnes, Brockman, Chalmers, Sideshow Bob’s parents, Judge Snyder, Old Jewish Man and Tom O’Flanagan. Unfortunately they don’t default to the higher-earning task if you use the Unemployment Office, like some other tasks/characters (such as kids who can Practice Hungry Games in the Battledome), so you’ll need to manually set them all to that task. So it’s kinda also a Con, I guess…
I’m STILL getting the premium 4hour rate for all chars from the kwik e Mart that walks. Also what’s great is around 280 chars go to same location for four hours and are sendable via the unemployment office.
I thought the Pope was supposed to help with the event? I thought it said he did but am still waiting to “heist”. Also the old guy who comes with the museum, I presume he heists for 100 doughnuts although it doesn’t say it in the store?

I got the Pope (I am Catholic), so I am following your advice and waiting. Only 200 donuts left and still 2 Acts left.
The building will look good next to my airport and I NEED to buy a premium character to help with the event.
I’m seriously thinking of picking this combo up.
As one of those Air&SpaceNuts addicts, I picked this up almost immediately. Really helped pull together the vintage/museum end of my airport, along with the Buffet, Spruce Moose, Training Plane, Luftwaffles, etc!
I bought this and placed it in my Airport. It fits nice and looks awesome. All aside I’m disappointed with the Mystery Box. Fingers crossed EA will add new stuff for Act 2.
Bought him, looks good near the airport. Seems weird not near the airport. At 150 I would save the donuts for other items. I suspect there will be more returning items at discount the rest of thjs event it’s just hard to anticipate what. I Think I would rather have the Pope than him and they cost the same.
Has anyone else had trouble with him showing as ticked in the character collection after you’ve bought him?

I spent a few donuts and got him. Not the best combo in the game, but a decent character who I enjoy!
I’m waiting until the end to decide. I want to save my donuts (which hasn’t been hard). I have space in my airport that could work for this. Knowing he’s voiced is a major plus.
