Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So something EA’s been slowly rolling out over the last year or so is this new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them) Where they attach a premium, limited-time, character to one of the donut bundles in addition to bonus donuts.
This time around we’re being offered Sven Golly, a FULL character, for a tray of 132 donuts (plus some Bonus Donuts). While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of Sven, his tasks and other details you may be curious about.
So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy….
So what is the deal? When you can find it in the Currency Tab of your Store (also by hitting Get More)…
Basically spend $9.99 on a Tray of 132 donuts and get 100 bonus donuts (so 232 donuts total) and Sven Golly.
And yes, for those outside of the US I know my price is probably lower than yours. EA only charges 9.99 USD for this package…anything over that that you are currently paying goes to Google/Apple/Amazon for Tax and Duty etc. EA only collects the 9.99.
So, personally, I think this is a great deal. You get 232 donuts plus a premium FULL character for $9.99.

That’s pretty much it on Sven Golly. A fun little character and a nice bonus when buying the Tray of donuts from the store! And if you’re willing to drop the cash…well worth with (honestly for the 232 donuts alone)

I noticed Kirk has a permanent task in the tent which pays premium. Anyone knows if other characters also have premium tasks there?
I was super excited to see Sven. I wanted him as soon as I saw he would probably be available as he is on the splash screen. The when I realized he was a cash character I got kinda bummed for a second until I realized that he not only came with donuts, but with bonus donuts. I normally only buy boatloads due to the overall savings, but at $9.99 for 264 donuts Sven and the tent are basically free. When you look at the price, donut-wise of many characters $9.99 won’t buy many of them anymore, especially if they come with a building as they are priced at 150 donuts. I realize you could just farm $150 donuts, but if paying cash they cost more than the $9.99 Tray making this an incredible deal.
Speaking of buying donuts from the store, I’m probably late to the party on this, but I just noticed the other day that the icons for the dozen donuts, stack of donuts, and tray of donuts accurately portray the number of donuts for sale if you assume each box and tray are full, with the exception of the visible tray which is missing just enough donuts to make the count accurate.
…I know, but I have to have something to do when I’m trying to do anything but work and everyone was tapped and TSTO Addicts completely read, so…

I’ve been lucky so far…no glitch in my game. That said, I can’t help but feel for all the tappers dealing with lost progress, lost characters and just a general loss of trust in EA and the game. This has been going on for months with no solution in site and no communication from EA on their progress. For that reason, from here on I will no longer be spending cash on any more “special deals”. I’m not a big spender, but I occasionaly purchased donuts if they were attached to a character. No more… I beleive we have to band together to support the glitch sufferers and boycott any more cash purchases until it is addressed. It’s unfortunate that the only language most businesses speak these days is $$$, but if that’s what it takes to get their attention, I will speak their language. No more spending till this glitch is fixed…period.
