Springfield Jobs 101: Act 1 Crafting

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Ah the Crafting post….where I give you the how-to and break down each and every item available to craft, so you don’t miss a thing!

Love it or hate it, EA has proven over the last couple of years that crafting is here to stay.  While the prizes themselves are pretty self-explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”.  Crafting requires some self-direction.  You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly.  Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. And, as with all things, for some events crafting is easier than others.

Now I know some of you still have questions so, let’s take a look…

By now everyone should know how crafting works.  But for those who don’t, I’ll cover the basics again.  But real quick, so I know a chunk of you will scroll down to the item breakdowns anyway…

And now onto the basics….

Crafting is triggered via Plunderer Pete’s via the MAIN questline…The Springfield Job Part 4

Tapping Pete’s will bring you to the crafting menu.  You can also access the crafting menu via the event hub menu by clicking the trophy icon and then the crafting icon…

The Crafting Currency is Plunder, it look like this:

You can earn Crafting Currency from:
-Tapping Agents (your town & neighbor’s)
Sending Crooks to Friends Towns
Tapping Crooks in Your Town
Sending Heisters to Heist

This time around, thankfully, there are no levels assigned with Crafting!  Instead each group of craftablse is broken out by Act.  So each Act will unlock new craftable items for your Springfield.  So you’ll no longer have to worry about Leveling up to unlock new items.

And as with previous events, crafting ends when the event is over.  There’s no rush to get it done now (well aside from the Heist Bonus and the questline requirements), you can wait until the event is almost over to get everything your tapping heart desires…HOWEVER…you’ll want to craft items with the Heist Bonus in order to max out your Museum rewards. So you’ll need to do some crafting before the event is over.

So now that we’ve gone over those basics, let’s get to why most of you are reading this post…the breakdown of each craftable item.

Let me preface this by saying, for this event most of the craftable items are decorations.  Therefore, what to craft and how many is entirely up to you…as to what you think will work best in your Springfield.  There are some great decorations that can work in a variety of ways in Springfield (depending on how you’re building your town) but it’s up to you to determine what works best for your town.

My Personal Opinion on Craftables…
As always get what you like/what will work for your town.  However, keep in mind you need certain craftables to boost your heist bonus.  So focus on that, and once that’s maxed out you can go with the order items.

So again…don’t kill yourself trying to get all this stuff.  Sometimes less is more. Craft what you have a use for in Springfield….

Hope that helps some of you who have been stressing out over crafting!

And there you have it my friends…the details behind Act 1 of The Springfield Jobs Crafting!

  1. I crafted one of everything (like aabend380) in this act but only have about 500 Plunder saved up for the next act. I wonder how do others have thousands of plunder saved up while I only have 500.

  2. After crafting one of everything I stopped for now; waiting for act 2 and new possibilities. That’s usually the way I approach the crafting, get at least one and then wait till the end to see how much currency is left over. Then I decide what is worth having multiples of, based on what I still can afford.

Btw. does anyone else find it annoying that EA doesn’t give XP for placing event stuff anymore?

  3. I am enjoying this event so far. Got Nana yesterday and have gotten multiple bonut rounds. I only do the friend actions when it is a daily task, saving up the thieves in case I find the other acts harder to finish. Wishing everyone happy tapping.

  4. I am enjoying this event. I know it’s super long but I am making sure I don’t rush things and do the 4 hour grind, plus I have 3000 of currency saved. I feel like this event is going really well and just trying not to complain about it and build a nice area.

  5. Huge plus that we no longer have to Level Up to obtain different Craftables (thanks EA)👍

It’s worthwhile to increase the Heist Bonus to it’s maximum asap (I used Bonuts the 1st Day to reach Maximum Bonus and have already earned back those Sprinkles 3 Days later Kem Farming). The Quesline Movie for Act One was funny! 🤣

I already have over 3000 Crafting Currency earned and saved up for Act 2 (definitely will Craft extra Decor / Buildings for each Act)👍

  6. Will we be able to craft terraced and canal houses in Acts 2 and 3? I’m liking the looks of the houses to build a Euro-style city core

    • Me, too. I love the canal houses. I’ve saved up 2000+ craftable currency now. By the end of this event, I’m going to use the leftover currency to buy more canal houses. Unless something prettier comes along. 🙂

    • The article above has already stated that crafting is over when the event is over, meaning after Act III ends.

  7. It’s frustrating that those corner Geand Canal pieces don’t rotate. I hope they fix that at some point.

  8. how many times have you guys had to explain this/gondolas? How many posts?

    • 4 explanation posts…And this. This isn’t explanation just overview

      • even so… my condolences. Im currently 8k behind final prize for act 1 and am deciding if its better to save quests for act 2, or hope for act one. what do you think?
