We’re moving into week 2+ of Springfield Jobs Act 2, how are you faring with the prize track? I completed it and unlocked Nigel yesterday, so now it’s just crafting currency away! Are you having the same success?

How about the rest of your weekend? Anything fun and exciting going on? It was the first warm Saturday here in ages, so we took advantage and did loads of Spring Cleanup in our Yard. Feels good to have a few more things crossed off our list, especially when it means enjoying the sunshine and fresh air!

This isn’t a huge problem for me. I’m just curious as to whether anyone has any insight or similar experience. A couple weeks ago I was in the middle of placing some frozen/ice ground. And it stopped and the button for it disappeared. What I had been placing stayed. But the option literally disappeared in the middle of the action. Was there some sort of limit to how much frozen ground I can have? I don’t want to delete what I have because I want to keep it. But, I did try searching it on here but I may have been searching with the wrong keywords or something. Has anyone had or heard of this? Like I said, it’s not really a problem. At least I didn’t lose the ability to place regular roads..lol. I have no other issues at all. I’m not interested in calling EA. Compared with all the rollback issues (I’m so sorry everyone!), this is a non issue. Just wondering. Thanks!
I think the ice was a prize (crafting?) during Christmas. So there is a limit, like tiles for the boardwalk.

The ice tiles are really more like Squiport tiles than road tiles. Each tile was a prize and they act like decorations, rather than road tiles. Where the road tiles(and water, dirt, cobblestones) are unlimited after being unlocked…when you’re out of ice tiles, there are no more and the option disappears from the list. If you store one, you will see it back in the list, just like boardwalk tiles.😁

4 weeks of kem farming and about 50 million spent on rat trucks i am now on level 911, have 520 donuts save and still have 27 million in the bank, got fed up with the kem farming but still have the collider on, when I hit 30 million i will buy rat trucks until I hit level 939 and then I will be done with farming for a while and get currency up to 100 mil again, now to decide what to spend my farmed donuts on 😁😀
How did you get to 100 million initially? I KEM farm so my cash rarely grows. I always hover between 1-2 million. I’m at a point where I get donuts every 5 days or so enough to get a character / building (150 donuts or so) and at 1-2 million just purchase enough land to make sure I can place things (but not well). It seems like a never ending grind where I’m not getting anywhere cash wise (or donut wise – as far as stockpiling), but my % slowly increases like 10% a month, and I am able to get occasional buildings and characters. I have never played with a lot of cash, and wonder what that must be like, to have so much in game cash.
I have all the land that in game cash can buy, have about 45 land squares that need tokens to buy, so will have to wait for ea to release more tokens, at 344% i can earn about 10 million a week, it takes time to save, mostly i just save and wait till an event i like comes up and then spend.

If you work on increasing your bonus by 50% (or more) per month instead of 10%, you will see a huge difference. Investing in mystery boxes will help a lot. Unless you can increase your XP%, your progress will continue to be slow and your cash intake won’t really change. Take a couple months and just focus on XP items…I think you’ll be amazed at what a difference it makes.😁.

Buy Mystery Boxes(6 donuts). 500 donuts will up your bonus to about 400%. Make sure your XP collider is on.

I finally finished “Road to Riches”!!!! I am about $255,000,000 from $2 Billion in Springfield Heights, have everything earned through each event and am buying up all the available land finally. Grind nearly complete!
Don’t say that! EA will throw another Road to Riches item, or another Heights update our way!

We don’t endorse hacked (stolen) donuts. There are enough ways to earn them without committing theft through hacking.
Those donut hackers are easily spotted. One of my former neighborenos had a nine figure number of donuts. I dumped him (maybe out of jealousy).

Sorry to be so terse… but, there is a long history of hackers stealing from the game, and it is the “dark side” of the TSTO community. Since EA has been so “generous” in ways to earn donuts for free, we simply won’t ever condone stealing (which is what hacking is) from a company to get ahead. Donut farming is a bit of a loophole that many use, and can be done, along with other means to earn donuts faster. But, there are so many people that have spent hundreds of dollars (if not thousands) on the game to support EA, and play the game legally, that any hacked version is counterproductive to the vibe of this community.
Trust me. We have all been tempted. But, in the end, if you want the game to prosper and continue…hacking isn’t the right way to go about it.
Yeah. I prefer KEM farming myself but he isn’t high enough of a level to do it yet. I’ll teach him a lesson about how hacking is bad 😂

There is no level to low to start KEM farming. It has many benefits even without the XP Collider on. Even if you don’t have much cash income a small farm isn’t going to cost you much.
Brian my dear, you must be new here, cheats, spoilers and politics are off limits. On occasion however, there have been glitches in player favor that have been revealed here, but those are rare. You are at the wrong site for cheats and hacking.

I really think that if your friend has one town, and lots of time to kill, it is VERY easy to level up. Even when starting, KEM farming is effective because the XP needed to level up is so low (I don’t KEM farm, but tried it in an anonymous town just to experiment). Sending people on 1 hour tasks generates income quickly.
But what your friend should know is that the journey is the game. If you could get it all in one day, it wouldn’t be fun. Taking it slow is the joy of the game. It makes every new item/building/character special. When you get a new character every day, you can’t possibly enjoy each one. Imagine getting a new car every day. Or a new house. You couldn’t possibly explore and enjoy each one to the fullest.
Patric might have to copy your post when the KEM farming discussions get rowdy.
I’ll admit that I don’t focus on the new additions the way I did when I first started playing. This is partially because of how I use the Ajax Steel Mill to simplify managing my characters. However, every once and I while I see a character wandering (because I fell asleep before assigning them all to a four hour cycle) and I choose to send the character on one of their visual tasks to remind myself of what silliness they get up to.
I just spent donuts on Guy Incognito/The Nag and Weasel. I think it’s a good value and worth the donut price.
What visual tasks does he have?
Do you still have a premium app for the site? If I recall right we you have the app we have an option for an add free app. You are doing great job. I use the app to read the blog. I don’t mind the adds.( like all internet Sade’s what they are for scary what the advisement for damn cookie)
That’s been down for awhile now, just too many operative issues. Even when I downloaded the App. I much preferred the main site.
Here is what I would like to see….an Unevent. A three week town building unevent. Log in once a day and recieve a unique town building item…..such as….. a pedestrian bridge that goes over roads; a new type of ground (sand so we can expand the beaches would be great); land tokens; a weather switch; a day/night switch…..
The unevent would have no grind. Nothing to send people to do. No things to tap. Just three weeks to focus on design and town beautification. Anyone else up for that?

No argument here. Here’s my current struggle, I want my characters to visit my attractions but they only walk on roads unless forced otherwise leaving tasks. The roads are limited, wide and don’t curve. They are hard to make attractive in parks. I appreciate any links people found to get around this.
Yes! I would love some curved sections for roads and paths; as well as roads that are half the current width. Since cars don’t go on roads, I don’t see how that would be a problem.
I would also really like more ocean water. My shoreline is sooo crowded.
And I would love pieces that are 1/2 water and 1/2 land on a diagonal, so that you can create more shapes with the water.

So I just noticed something interesting the other day… Back in Valentines Day I got Mona from the mystery box and did her quest line to its completion, but for whatever reason she doesn’t have a task where she sits with Abe feeding the birds? She seems to have everything else, but not this 8 hour task. Is there a specific bench or something she needs?
What happens if you place another bench?
Not a thing. She still has just the 60m, 4h, 8h, and 24h tasks shown in her list. Also noticed that she doesn’t have her 12h “Complain About the Living” task either for some reason. Even with Abe free it doesn’t show at all.
My Mona doesn’t have those tasks either…I wonder why?
Is grandpa free for the task too?
Oh wow, I also got Mona in the Valentines Day set & didn’t know she had a task with Grandpa! Looking forward to seeing it.
Similar to the problem with Number 51’s task at Exploration Inc and Sea Captain’s task at Ghost Pirate Airship (and probably others) – it’s like the quest that triggered them went away with the event in which they were introduced

My game is glitched, and at this point I don’t want to rollback and lose progress. It’s been a while at this point. I tried upgrading the IRS to fix tap radius, but while it enlarged it didn’t recover. Otherwise I’m mostly living with it. The most annoying part is how the button in the top left is nonfunctional.
The game is pretty clearly in its long slow decline IMO, kind of like the show it’s based on. They’ve mined all the classic episodes and characters at this point, and they’re relying on scraps from more recent seasons. This event is extra-long because there’s nothing seasonal coming up for a while and the writers of the game are running on empty. And that’s fine I guess. All things must pass. I’ll keep playing a little longer probably, but at a certain point it’s going to end for me.
Last night I got the Rollback Bug, but I was lucky, it was in a dream…..

Cloudy and sticky today and expecting a big thunderstorm in about a half hour or so….been watching the radar and it’s a doozie😮. Temps expected to plummet 30 degrees overnight, down to 46 F. In April? That’s pretty weird for this area, but then we did get a bunch of snow this winter, so….who knows what’s next…icebergs in Savannah Harbor?
Something else weird…one of our red Amaryllis did a costume change this spring, it came up as a salmon color instead of red. Nature…gotta love it😄.

Yes they did freeze all over for a few days. It was all over the news in Europe. They even showed an American stumbling around on skates 😁
I got that last prize in act 2 earlier today and now I am 8 days ahead so that means time to get lots of bonus donuts.

We go three cm of ice pellets followed by freezing rain and rain. On Monday morning most unshoveled areas were suitable for a game of curling, with humans instead of granite rocks.
I noticed that this event will end the day before Whacking Day. I really hope we get a mini-event for that. It was the first event I was a part of when the game went to android, and it would be nice to revisit it.
I’m wondering if my wife’s inability in her Springfield to get past the Springfield Dump and get the railyard to start her missions towards getting the monorail is a glitch/bug that is either related to the rollback glitch or an unknown one.
Here’s what it entails:
– she’s level 142
– she got the dump and was able to send Homer to collect trash
– Lyle never appeared
– she was able to do the mini games that allowed her to get trash. Enough to where she has now over 39000 trash but nowhere to spend it to collect blueprints to get the other buildings in the missions to gain the monorail. So she’s stuck with a dump, a lot of trash, but no railyard to turn them in to get the other recycling buildings.
– in her inventory, she has a section for the monorail, but nothing, of course, is inside it. She doesn’t have a monorail section in her store, though.
– storing and replacing the dump does nothing to trigger anything.
– no further missions pop up for any characters related to this questline (as described in the topic here at TSTOaddicts. We tested this by after a 4 hour round of heist collecting, no exclamation marks popped up on any character & Lyle didn’t appear.
I’ve searched the internet for anything close to this problem and have come up empty. She is well beyond the level 20 this pops up for and she does have the Springfield Dump, but nothing else. We’ve uninstalled & reinstalled the app on her phone, but it still doesn’t pop up to start working towards getting the monorail.
The thing that made me notice this was she was trying to find ways of getting more donuts. She has been doing the Find Maggie mini game & doesn’t have enough bonus % justify doing the KEM farming, so I said just do the monorail quests to get 5 donuts after each round. That’s when she said she didn’t have the railyard, glass, plastic or metal recycling buildings. I looked at her Springfield and saw only the Dump with nothing sitting in her inventory.
Any ideas or insights as to how she can get Lyle to pop up or continue progress in getting her railyard/recycle buidings/monorail? I’m coming up empty on my searches & figured someone here may know of someone who has encountered this.

Even without the collider on, it is worth it to KEM farm. Try an eight building KEM farm to start out with. Check your inventory and behind other buildings for the railroad yard.
She’s done the KEM but doesn’t get as many donuts as she would doing the railyard cycle. And no, the railyard, as stated isn’t in her inventory. But thanks for the reply.
Really need to find an answer as to why the mission quest didn’t continue or why Lyle didn’t appear & how she can fix it so she can continue with it to get her monorail.
KEM plus Mystery Boxes (6 donuts). I went from starting a new game to the ability of earning 200 donuts every 4 hours in less then 9 months.
I’m still having difficulty with the concept of just buying Mystery Boxes – the donuts I spend – when they could be used for characters/buildings. My % increases sometimes, sure, but I miss out on snagging event things or long time characters I don’t yet have in the store. I am always torn on whether to do the MBs or just stockpile and get the things I want. At this point I save and then spend on an item that’s 150 donuts, then save and spend on some MBs, and then save and spend on returning items in the vaults. This spans weeks and I never know if I’m going about it the best way. I’m always at donut zero after each spend, and only 1-2 million in cash. If all I did was buy MBs until I reached a high bonus %, would I be regretting everything I was passing up? Welcome all thoughts.
You are not going to miss much in less than 9 months, but if you really want something go ahead and buy it. But 6 donuts Mystery Boxes get you % (Billboard Van) and Cash (Lard Lads) if you can place them. The bonus% increases your XP (less cost per next donuts) and cash (you can buy more land, more KEMs and more houses to generate more cash).
When get around 3000% you get donuts for every 3 to 4 KEMs. By that time you should be generating 3-4 million every 4 hours. In my test game, I bought all the available land (and sea), at least one of all of the premium items. I buy all the vault items and new premium items. I can use 3 million of my cash to generate about 200 donuts if I use my cash for KEMs, every 4 hours. Since I have 5000+ donuts, I am currently converting my brown houses to blue houses. I also started to use my donuts to fast-forward the old events I get when I buy new items like the large zirconium.
If you are reluctant I would suggest starting another game where you just concentrate on KEM farming while playing the current events in your other game.
Starting another game to test out your method and playing events with my current game… Interesting!
Now wouldn’t it be cool to share donuts between your own games?
I wonder if maybe I should be spending more of my cash liberally on KEMs beyond the 40 I usually buy farming. More KEMs and more donuts until cash depletes, then build up cash again and then farm all at once – I suppose that’s what people do with the rat trucks…
RTT is more expensive but quicker. Unless I need donuts right away, I go for KEMs.
Catffeine – keep in mind that there are a lot of hours of play time needed in those 9 months to reach the levels Charles talks about. His method is proven (I’ve focused on Mystery Box generated conform-o-meter % increases every once and a while), but it takes time.
A Tip. Free space along the right side of the screen. Enlarge you screen. Start at the top and start placing along side. After one or two adjustment (so there is no space between the KEMs) they should fall in place quickly til you hit the bottom.

So made another visit to the Wrinklies to help them with odds and ends before they go traveling – and got a lovely lunch as always! Took a little longer than expected to sort out my mom’s new internet router but got it up and running, ready for when they return. Also set the PVR to record Harry’s wedding because they only get back late that afternoon (19 May) and my mom is keen to watch some of it – hope I set it for the right channel! 😊
Today was busy and messy!!! Had a white-ish curtain that I want to use in my office but it had a spotty stain (rust?) that just wouldn’t leave despite trying three different methods that the Internet swears by 😄 But white is also not the most practical colour as it needs to drape on the floor a little and would quickly get dusty so I decided to try dye it… Picked a navy blue because that fits with the colours already in my office. Read up on what to do it and then had to work out my own version that made use of things I already had. Decided I would try and be a little fancy and give it a graduated colour (lighter at the bottom and getting darker towards the top – an ombré effect 😄) but I don’t think that worked out so well although I won’t actually know until it dries out. It certainly seemed to be one solid colour but I will have to wait and see! It’s currently hanging on the washing line so I’m hoping that tomorrow I might get a nice surprise and discover I got it right. But the best thing is I managed to do it without turning my hands a nice dark blue 😄
I’ve finished Act 2 so I’m busy doing the sideline quest lines that I ignored earlier in the act and earning a few bonuts. Still haven’t got round to doing any designing but since I won’t be visiting the Wrinklies for the next month I will have no excuse to not make good use of my Saturday’s…

I love a good bath but my current place only has a shower… 😞 But with our current drought that is not a bad thing! 😄
I have a big beautiful corner bath, with a view straight out on to the sea. And I haven’t been able to use it in more than a year since we’re not allowed to bath 😥
Means the family in joburg get to see more of me though… I used to do meetings via Skype, now I actually fly up for meetings (just so I can have a bath 😂) and I pack a suitcase of dirty laundry rather than clean clothes 😂

Hi, I’m KB and I’m glitch-positive. (Everybody: Hi, KB!) And I’ve chose to live with it for the time being.
I’ve gathered the following from TSTO addicts that might be useful to others in my situation:
1) Tapping radius could possibly be fixed by upgrading the IRS building (if you don’t have it maxed out already)
2) Do not buy mystery boxes for the time being because you may not be credited your donut wins.
3) Using your Unemployment Office may help locate characters whose jobs are finished. Send the free characters and sometimes there will be a Go To button available for those that haven’t been cleared.
4) Don’t delete neighboreenosfor the time being in the event they’re not playing because of the glitch.
Anybody have any other suggestions? We are all in this together.
If you delete all of your roads (replace them with concrete squares), but leave a small patch of roads in one area, almost all of your characters will migrate to that small patch when they are free, and most of them will head there for their outdoor jobs. Comcentrating them all in one area makes them easier to find.

Just a heads up – if you see people talking about KEM farming, it is not something that works well for new / low level players. If you enjoy our silly little game enough to hang out until you reach level 60, then you should start looking into it.
I disagree. As soon a you can by KEMs (which will be without the XP collider) spend the money on KEMs. 4 KEMS will cost you almost nothing but will level you up fast with extra donuts. If you start the game from scratch, ignore spending the donuts to speed up the game (just log out and come back later). When you buy Mystery Boxes (6 donuts) you check characters and items (%bonus) that will increase your cash quickly. Spend early cash on house farms to increase cash fast. There is no bad time to buy KEMs.
I started a new game yesterday and after the tutorial you end up with about 100 donuts – I spent all on Mystery Boxes and got at least 3 premium characters and other buildings not yet available at my Level. WELL worth the spending. I wish my other game awarded premium characters for MBs!! It’s always the same 6 items. Spent rest of cash on brown houses. Will see about KEMs next.

Hi Sonic. Re Candidate: I’m the same – love a lot of his stuff but that “triptych” is just extraordinary. Re 25 O’Clock, I’ve actually not heard anything by the Dukes; thanks for jogging the old memory; I must check it out. I’ve got Take Away/The Lure Of Salvage lying around on vinyl somewhere … it’s a solo album Andy Partridge released as Mr Partridge and was basically a deconstruction/reimagining of XTC songs … I might appreciate it more now but I remember at the time the best part was trying to identify the various songs he was “reinterpreting”. XTC were a huge part of my life back in the day; never got to see them live but they did come to NZ and played in Auckland and the show was broadcast on TV. My father, who was largely confused by my music tastes, indulged me and let me watch it – it was pretty damn good. I gradually lost touch with them but the first four albums – especially Drums and Wires and Black Sea – are just stellar and I still play them a lot.

Knowing all the songs on last week’s list was definitely a fluke – this week I have never even heard of half of the bands on your list, let alone the songs… But at least there is a lot to discover! 🙂

I didn’t like the newest Simpsons episode. Was disappointed in Lisa and Marge. If anything, Lisa would know literally everything about being “woke” and would heartily support transgender rights as a modern civil rights movement. Not make it into a punchline for a joke. Very disapointed in the Simpsons writers. Just stay true to the characters, is all they got to do if they want to keep it modern! Not make mean punching bag jokes. The episode started out alright, but really veered off and it made me uncomfortable.
