Springfield Jobs Act II- Prize Guide – MoHo House and Nigel

Tut, Tut my good ladies and gents…we are awash in the best of “Jolly Old England” in our Springfields.  The heisting continues, but it is almost secondary to the cool buildings and prizes up for grabs in this Act.

I admit to being a bit of an Anglophile, so I am stoked to get some of the buildings and special decorations that have graced my imagination and book shelves for most of my lifetime.  And if you have to steal a few jewels to get it all?  So be it!

And Here We Are…the FINAL PRIZE of ACT II!!  Nigel and the MoHo!

I will also admit, that I had completely forgotten about this character. I’m not sure if the episode from which it came ran together with all of the other “English-Centric” shows we watch (The Crown, Victoria, The Tudors, Game of Thrones, Monty Python’s Holy Grail) or if it was an episode I blocked out, because Nigel was intent on winning a bet to break up Homer and Marge. And NOBODY breaks up Homer and Marge…

It was a good episode (rewatched it on FX), but to be honest, it didn’t make me want this British lout in my town! But…he was free…I earned him…so there ya go!  Boom. Placed and prancing about.

I mean, who in his right mind would pass up this, to go “drink with an English guy???”  Even if the guy is voiced by Michael York…one of the other kinda “standard old school British guys that isn’t David Niven).

Oh…wait…it IS Homer.

But, have no fear…Nigel loses the bet, and we end up with Nigel and MoHos (the building that Nigel built Mo to help him steal away “Midge,”…it’s complicated).

Like I said…not sure how I feel about it…but, HERE HE IS! Boom!

OK. So yes…this building is biggish. But, if you store it…Nigel goes with it. Which might not be a bad thing…

And, there you have it!  The FINAL PRIZE in Act II!

I’m on the fence on this one…but Free is Free… He won’t go into my England area…maybe Springfield Heights. He is a scoundrel who drinks too much. Oh. Wait. That describes most of the Moe’s regulars!

  1. Nigel and the MoHo 🤣
(what an homage to David Niven, great voice by Michael York – a shame we don’t have this in the Game App)

Both are Free, yet you are correct – both don’t belong in our British Section (they belong in Springfield Heights!) at least it’s not lame Decor with an NPC, right? 🤔

  2. I have a “downtown” near my municipal (government) area..all my tall buildings are there together…

I absolutely hate how when he enjoys a cocktail he is giant in the roof!!!!! I mean come on EA why couldn’t you just put his task in the ground in front of the building or make him smaller!!! *end rant* 😂

  4. I got Nigel and MoHo House on Wednesday and already have a little design for it in front of the mountains with the Royal Tokyo hotel since it would of been more difficult in an English area of town. MoHo House is my favourite building in this act because it is the same height as King Homer’s Skyscraper. Nigel was the most unlikely Michael York character that I thought would appear in the game first with Lionel Budgie and Mason Fairbanks being 1st and 2nd to appear but still glad that he appeared. I do like that not all of Nigel’s indoor tasks are at MoHo House because of the one at Moe’s Tavern. I seen that Moe has a 4 hour task at MoHo House which is “Run a Better Bar” so it’s a nice little reference to the episode. 😀 👍 🍸
A bit off topic but I think that all characters that come with a building should have about 2 indoor tasks at the building they come with and maybe an outdoor task at the building (like Nigel currently has) while the other indoor task can be at another location, that way characters are not “prisoners” to the buildings they come with by having all their indoor tasks (and sometimes visual tasks) at their building. On the other hand, it is better than having a character and building together then the character or any other characters having no task at their building at all (some examples include Mindy and Madame Chao’s, Babysitter Bandit and the Babysitting Service, and Gino Terwilliger and It’s a Wonderful Knife).

  5. A lot is said on here about scaling of buildings. But when the building is so far out of proportion for the character it supports, you have to wonder who’s in charge at ea headquarters. When he’s enjoying a cocktail the roof of the tower comes up to his waist!

  6. This event will never end
Yes, it goes on and on my friend
Some people started tapping it not knowing what it was
And they’ll continue tapping it forever just because
    This event will never end……..

    • That song’s going to be stuck in my head all weekend now. My sister was small when that show was on originally (we have a 7 year age gap), so it’s far from the first time. Your sentiment isn’t wrong, though. I am loving the British stuff but I was semi convinced the act was ending tonight for some reason. Was so disappointed when I realized my error.

  7. I think MoHo House counts as an aspirational building, because it unlocked Cecil and Road to Riches for me, even though I haven’t bought any of the other aspirational buildings.

  8. “I’d wager you’re going to have a tough time fitting my building in your town”
    So true.

    • I used to just keep moving all the obnoxiously tall things to the far edge of my town, but there’s so many now… I love the look of the building when it’s animated but just where its permanent home will be is going to take some thinking.

      • I finally dumped my Lard Lad desert, having Patric’s word in my mind (house farming being ugly). I think I’ll layout a special skyscraper area in the outmost upper right corner. Some day it will reunite with my steadily growing main town.
