It’s nearly Cinco de Mayo! A new holiday in Springfield gives EA an excuse to drop holiday-themed premium items in our stores. A bunch of items (mostly returning) to tempt you with their Sprinkles.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Mexican Duffman (or any of the combos) to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this South of the Border Duffman to your town…
If you don’t have Duffman or Lady Duff you’ll see a bunch of different offers available. Here are all the combinations you can get:
So depending on which characters you have you’ll get offered different bundles. The first bundle comes with Duffman, the Brewery and Lady Duff (a skin for Duffman). The second (offered if you already have Duffman) is Lady Duff (skin for Duffman) and Mexican Duffman. And the third (offered if you already have Duffman and Lady Duff) is just for Mexican Duffman.
Your best deal out of these is the first one. 150 donuts for 2 characters, a building, and a skin is a good deal. You should take advantage of it if offered.

Premium:
Personally, I’m passing on Mexican Duffman. I just don’t see the 100 donut value in him.
Freemium:
Pass on just Mexican Duffman. Not worth the 100 donuts.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I passed. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Mexican Duffman – while I agree that Duffman + Duff Brewery + Lady Duff Skin (for Duffman) offered with Mexican Duffman for 150 Donuts is a bargain? I’m hesitant on the offer until EA takes care of that Rollback Glitch (I’m sure these will all return in a Mystery Box).

I did not realize in Act 1 that Nana Sofia was Milhouse’s grandma until Patric’s post. I found the event and prizes lackluster and didn’t try hard. Now I want Nana and have to shell out 100 donuts for her. Ouch! Sorry, Luchadora Duff, you’re out- necessita abuelita!
KEM farmed with the XP charge on to get the character. i like the look of the him and with the rest of this events premium characters being unappealing to me, mexican duffman was a definite
Strange ? My bundle has Duffman, Lady Duff & the Mexican. So I assume this is indeed a great deal ?
The bundle depends on what you already have. I liked Duffman because he helps with the Heights, which I found extremely tedious to do.

I almost always get the characters, but I’m still not sure about this one! I’ll think about it for another day or two…
I bought instantly. I love his bright colors and I love completing character sets.
I am on the fence with this one. Seems so completely out of left field, no connection to the event whatsoever. But he would complete a character collection… I might just get the bundle for my B-game, it’s a much better deal, and decide after I’ve seen him.
He is a fun character and an instant pick up for me – although not overly great value. I think EA are releasing more and more premium characters at higher rates because of the number of higher levelled players earning increasing numbers of bonuts. If you are a lower levelled player and not earning excessive bonuts you should most likely avoid these ultra-premium characters and save your hard earned donuts for special purchases such as the mystery boxes – you will probably get another opportunity to purchase these characters later. For higher levelled players you will most likely be able to purchase all new content such as this one. I believe EA are being quite intentional about the pricing. It took me years to increase my income and XP to a level where I could purchase characters like this one – you just need to be patient and maybe spent a little bit of real cash to try and increase your bonus percentage over time (mystery boxes were best method for me). Good luck, if you can’t afford ultra-premium characters now, you will one day if you persist!
I went for him. I wasn’t going to until I found out he was a full character. That decided it for me. That and I had a big stash of donuts left from the last time I put some money in. (I don’t farm, just not my thing)
hurm…I don’t have any Duffmans yet, and although 150 for the lot is really good…I might try my hand at some of the things I want far more from the Vegas loot box…and The Aztec Theater came up in my vault, and it’s the last thing I want from the vault for my town…hurm…
Seriously “Mexican Duffman” hopefully E.A will put out some OG’s for mothers day like Sarah Wiggums or Neds parents.. that would be cool. Lot of original women characters missing… Just a thought.

I didn’t have Duffman before, they offered Duffman, Lady Duffman and Mexican Duffman plus the brewery for 150 donuts. I thought it was a pretty good deal.
Gosh darnnit to heck diddidly oh. It’s times like these I hate it that I’m a “character collector” – I just gotta catch ’em all (to rob another game’s phrase). I can pass on skins (I don’t have Lady Duffman), but knowing Mexican Duffman is a full character, looks like I’ll be buying him. Addiction. Don’t do it kids. It’s bad, m’kay? LOL
Yep, I couldn’t resist – a fun character and looks really cool too – character collecting is a seriously expensive business but better than collecting skins!
This is an easy pass for me. The deal of two with the brewery is decent. 150 doughnuts for the same offer of Lady Duff and Mexican Duffman is overpriced. Duffman is premium so there’s no reason to have the skin. Thanks for the post I was in the fence but for me No Way Jose.
As i said before, pass. First i thought it was only a skin, that would have been a sure pass, but even as a full character, i pass. Probably i save my donuts because there might be a mini event after this. Raoul is tempting but …

Probably a pity they didn’t offer him separately, I agree that the 150 deal is without building is quite ‘rich’ considering you just get a skin for the extra 50 donuts.
I would have considered buying the single character. However, since I don’t have the skin, I would have to pay 150 and that’s just plain too much for whats being offered. Perhaps he’ll show up in a future box.
Yes, skins are not worth that much (in my opinion), you are better off saving your donuts for a good character/building deal in the coming weeks… maybe a cool item will be available for the next mini-event.
