Super Safi’s Stats & Strategy Special: Minigames – Sci-Fighter!

Salutations Senors, Senoras, Senoritas, Statisticians & Strategists,

(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter ‘S’)

Hi, I’m Super Safi and you may remember me from such stats and strategy posts as KEM Farming and the advanced losing-to-win Superheroes battle strategy.

What better way to spend your time than talking math. So from time-to-time, I’ll come to you with a post that delves into the wonderful world of numbers, stats, and/or strategies.

While we’ve previously discussed Springfield Downs and the Go Kart Track last year, we’ll continue to look at most of the Minigames found within our game. We continue our journey today with Sci-Fighter!

SCI-FIGHTER

The Sci-Fighter minigame can be played at the PolyVac every 4 hours. An icon () will appear above the PolyVac when the minigame is ready to be played.

The objective of the minigame is to tap as many Robots and Drones as possible in the lapse time of 20 seconds. Rewards will be given to the player depending on the number of Robots and Drones tapped. The standard rewards are Smart Devices, Junk, and XP. However, unlike the recently discussed Drone Scan minigame, you can’t earn Smart Devices or Junk if you already exceed their respective caps.

There are two main possible outcomes to this minigame, win (if your PolyVac survives complete destruction 20 seconds) or lose (if the drones and robots completely destroy your PolyVac within 20 seconds).

Smart Devices rewarded:

 = 2

Note: Will always reward 2 , even if 0 robots or drones are tapped; only if the Smart Device cap in your Springfield is not yet reached.

Junk rewarded:

If you win,

= 240 + 1(r) + 2(d),   where r is the amount of robots tapped and d is the amount of drones tapped.

If you lose,

= 20 + 1(r) + 2(d) + 10(t),   where r is the amount of robots tapped and d is the amount of drones tapped and t is the time you last.

Note: You will not earn any junk if you already exceed the junk cap.

XP rewarded:

If you win,

= 300 + 1(r) + 2(d),   where r is the amount of robots tapped and d is the amount of drones tapped.

If you lose,

= 50 + 1(r) + 2(d) + 10(t),   where r is the amount of robots tapped and d is the amount of drones tapped and t is the time you last.

Do you play the Sci-Fighter? How many robots do you usually tap? Since drones are worth more, do you focus on them? What stats or strategy related topic would you liked discussed? Share your thoughts. You know we love hearing from you. And be sure to come back soon for the Where’s Maggie minigame.

Minigames:

Springfield Downs, Go Kart Tracks, Insanity Mode, Sideshow You, Rocket Launch Pad, Claw Machine, Scratch-R, The Eliminator, Bigclaw, Excavation Site, Drone Scan, Sci-Fighter, Where’s Maggie

  1. I used to play it every day to increase my trash stocks while working the monorail. I have over 1500 Smart Devices waiting on Springfield Heights 3. There are just so many little games within the game I don’t do it very often. I like digging for treasure so I can get more Pirate Gold and kicking Turtles because there is a chance to get items to add to the multiplier. I also always send the rocketship on missions for that elusive mini-nuke and the Kang and Kodos topiaries. Lisa will be doing the widow maker challenge as soon as the event ends.

    • Oh wait, I got all the smart devices from the Drone Scan. The Sci-fighter is pretty useless.

  2. When I’m restocking junk, I send characters until I’m right below 2000, then I send out all characters one last time and before clearing them, I play the polyvac. That way it lets me go past the cap and I can get a few hundred over (and then play drone to add a little more). As for tapping, I just put my iPad down and tap the edges rapidly with three fingers on each hand, tapping a stray that might float in from the top now and then.

  3. 4-8 months ago (or so) this game went from winning every time, to only with luck can I win.

I’m not sure if something happened in my game only or across the board.

Inevitably I see no robots that get near the Polyvac, but screen shakes and my energy goes down.

  4. Does the minigame seem ‘off’ for anyone else? The robots don’t head towards the black hole, they head towards a spot to the right (about halfway between the black hole and the edge of the screen) and they ‘attack’ there instead. Very bizarre and sometimes robots spawn directly on top of this phantom location and immediately do a point of damage before it’s possible to tap them.

  5. I miss those posts, they are very interesting.
I have not played this minigame for a long time because I thought it gave me repeated items that can not be sold, as some others minigames do. Now I will play it always, as it helps in garbage collection 🙂

  6. I tap everything I can, but invariably I get a total of 22 robots every time. My system is a lot slower than most of the videos I’ve seen online so I’m sure that’s why.

    how do you get this?

    • If you are Omnipotent as your name implies you know already. Otherwise use the search box. Or look at the links right above the “Responses”.

Thanks for your response =) unfortunently, none of the links helped, and there is a lot to search through. I was hoping for a quick answer, but thanks anyway =)

    • It was in the Superheroes event, before your (and my) time. Although you might have it in your gifted town, check the inventory

    • It was in the superhero event, before your (and my) time, although in your gifted game check the inventory, you might have it in there.

    • It was available during the SciFi Event in 2016 before Halloween. Maybe EA might release it in the future for donuts or bundle it with Stephen Hawking since he has some tasks there.

I play when I’m low on Junk and only have a character or two to help generate it…to move the Junk production along a bit more quickly.

  9. I won’t play this because it rewards an uneven amount of junk. If it didn’t do that I’d play it everyday.
