Springfield Jobs Nearing the End…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a reminder that the Springfield Jobs Event Ends TOMORROW May 9th.

This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.

Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…

  • Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
  • However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Fit Tony, Raoul etc)
  • The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game.  So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game…  It will require an app store update to remove everything.

I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto-update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so just know that ANY time after the 9th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 9th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.

Also, we’ve seen with a few recent events EA shuts off the ability to earn one item or another.  So don’t bank on being able to get that extra time.  Try to earn as much as you can until the event ends.

And don’t forget to craft! Use em or lose em!

So tap those last few agents and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

Additional note:

Some of you are asking what you should craft with all of your extra crafting currency.  There’s no magic item to craft.  There’s no way of knowing what EA might make premium in the future, with a bonus %.  The best advice I can give you is craft at least one of everything.  If there’s something you think you could use in a particular design craft a bunch of them and stick them in storage.

If you feel like you’ve crafted everything you want, then it’s ok to not use all of your crafting currency.  Just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to spend it.

Are you sad to see the event go?  Or ready for it to finally be over?  How did you do with the prizes?  Get everything you wanted?  What are you hoping to see next?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Wait a tic, per the calendar, it was supposed to go to Thursday, I now take that was a serious miscalculation. Perhaps more steps need to be taken in the future…

    • Your interpretation. Since it ended at 10a today Pat had final collection/ prize today. And wrote end of event, but didn’t put tomorrow’s date on their. Showing the 9th as last day.
Plus always go by your in game timer. I also had event ends May 9th in many locations on this site since the event started.

  2. I wanted 1 more of the Venice houses to complete a little section and was 5 minutes too late to craft one. What are the chances of some of the crafting buildings coming back in any form?

Still, lots of bonuts from this event, so that’s something at least

  3. Wow. They didn’t give us any extra time on that one.

  4. Thank goodness this is over! Long winded and boring… two parts to the event would have been plenty lots!!! I must agree that the lack of land is getting ridiculous! I am uber rich ( if only in real life!) but can’t use the money to purchase land or much of anything else…pretty counterproductive to game play, just saying! Cheers!💐🇨🇦🌷

  5. Well that was the fastest takedown ever! I went to buy the last prize because I ran out of time and it disappeared at 10:00 on the dot. Sheesh EA! I get not stretching it out for days after but, give us a minute after it ends to at least use donuts? 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • Same happened to me. I was trying to get points for donuts. I thought if you turned off auto update it gave you extra time. Not this time!

      • I went to the Play Store and the auto update was turned on. It must have been when I had the Glitch. EA had me Uninstall and restart my game. I didn’t think about checking the auto update.

  6. I was so close to getting the last prize for act 3 and normally they give you time after the event but nope just gone. Didn’t even get a chance to buy it with donuts!

  7. Not a huge fan of the event and looks like I will just miss out on Fit Tony. I started out enjoying it but like other events, it just became a grind and I found myself skipping the dialog. Overall I think a C+. Some cool buildings but they don’t belong in Springfield. Still not the worst event by a long shot.

  8. Long and boring, the only great thing was the amount of cool large buildings we got with this event but unfortunately no space to put them. EA decides to gives us all these items but can’t even place them because of the lack of land tokens. I’ve been playing since the beginning and have every item to date but this is the first event in which I have had to leave stuff behind. The OCD in me is raging. If the land situation continues to use land tokens then i’m going to have to stop playing. 🙁

What? The event is over so soon? 😏

Event that long i don’t know how it’s possible to be behing, I finished a week ago and have resorted back to normal tapping, just glad it’s finishing, didn’t get logged out yesterday either?

  11. Good riddance to a crappy (and way too long) event. I give it a D.

  12. Can anyone tell me what the box that has a donut, what looks like an Oscar and a spaceship looking thing is. It’s in my task box and I have no clue what it’s for

    • It’s just an icon that sort of represents a ‘folder’ or ‘box’, and it contains any older tasks and questlines that you may not have done yet. if you click on it, it becomes a closed box (and your tasks are hidden), and if you click on it, it expands to show you what tasks are available to you. it’s just so if you were backed up on multiple questlines, it’s not a huge laundry list that you have to scroll through or view all the time while playing. hope that helps!

  13. I’ve given up

  14. Not my fave event, hope the next will be better, back to Simmons stuff, you know? Happy tapping!

  15. This event has been very long & boring.I’m dissapointed.I’ve used up so much donuts. These events & items are getting more expensive.I still have a few items & not enough donuts.Anyone else feel the same?

  16. If you have spare crafting currency and space in your Springfield its a no brainer to get as many resort hotels as you can. They are unlimited and effectively free and earn cash regularly. Ok they are a bit big but design one into your town plan and lose the rest in a junk corner at the back.keep smiling and collecting the money until you run out of space for something else.

    • It seems like the obvious choice but with the limited space I had to re-think my choice. I doubt EA will change the land token format. And if that’s the case I’ll need to make sure to save space for major events. It seems like the “free event building” that we get to kick-start the event will forever have that big footprint 🙁 I remember when it used to be buildings of all sizes but now its that big square.

  17. Thanks to my current rollback glitch that EA never repaired, I got locked out of act 2 and 3 items. No way to buy any item beyond act 1. I wanted to buy at least more space for my town since I’ve got tons of now useless crafting currency. Thanks EA.

    • I’m in the same situation!!! I got hit with the rollback bug on Sunday, and resolved myself to just live with it. Until today, when I wanted to start spending the 5800+ currency on all those fabulous decorations…. only to find they are all locked. This truly sucks. I’ve called EA for help twice today, both times got routed to a call center in India where they suggested I reinstall my game. Now I guess I’m waiting on an email back from them about elevating my issue…. I don’t know. I really, really, REALLY wanted those Italian villas on the water and more of the blue phone boxes. I’ve reached very nice, helpful, and useful tech support people in the past, I may try again later tonight. I’d be completely happy if they’d simply add the craftables I want into my game later, maybe I’ll make a list just in case that’s an option.

      • Ohh! I have to revise my comment, it looks like the Italian villas are available even if Act 2 and 3 crafting is locked. I did purchase the major buildings as soon as they unlocked, thank goodness. Only thing I cared about but can’t get now are the phone booths, but I have 1 of each…. perhaps I can live with that. I am very sorry for anyone else who got the glitch during this event, it really stinks.

  18. I think I just ran into a glitch. Did anyone else just get a second Tower of London in their game?

  19. In regards to crafting. I suggest the Hotels. They’re the only item that generates money and XP.

  20. All I’m hoping for in upcoming events is more boats🚤🛥⛵️🛶…and maybe a marina that could go on the shore of a river/lake, kinda like the venetian houses👍😁.

  21. I think now the Queen is safe lol

  22. Just logged in to the ole ‘Valentines Day 2016’ is over message, (which I found to be a helpful reminder, since that somehow escaped me 2 years later).

I would say its the rollback glitch, except that hit my game months ago! Good luck fellow tappers, I hope this doesn’t affect even more people.

    Come on EA : /

  23. If you aren’t sure what to craft, you at least know the “Resort Hotel” will generate $150 cash every 8 hrs.

  24. TallSpiderCandy

I really enjoyed this event!! It was long but that extra time enabled me to get everything plus bonuts for all three acts. It was nice not being stressed about not finishing too. I am anxious about this secure registration thingy and hope whatever EA is doing will help things. I was hit by the rollback glitch last year; makes me leary to invest more real money into the game honestly. I love this game and will stick by to the end. Looking forward to what’s next! 😁 Thanks Addicts for all that you do!! Have a lovely day!!

  25. I liked this event. I finished all three acts with several days to spare and was able to craft everything I needed. The only part that was difficult was designing. There were so many buildings! And with the new token system it made it difficult moving thing around.

  26. I must be one of the few still working the prize track…. But work(not allowed to play much during the day) and personal things of put me behind in every act this event…I believe I had to buy the last prize of act 1 for the first time ever.

As for crafting stuff? The British guards are funny and the gondolas are nice….otherwise.. I’m debating on whether to spend the high cost for the foreign capiaal building that has 1 non visual task or not….the other building from act 3 crafting looks huge, and not worth the currency

    • I am not done in two of my three Springfields. I have no premium characters in those two Springfields.

    • I’m still working on Fit Tony. I should just make it without having to spend donuts.

  27. Mr. Bobblehead

I’m hoping for extra time. I had another rollback glitch where I wasn’t able to craft items from the 2nd and 3rd act. I contacted EA and they were able to rollback my game, but I lost a lot of event currency. I might have to spend donuts for the extra Tony skin

  28. Don’t normally comment on events but this one was ok. Very easy to get all items. I have all premium characters bar a couple which helped . I’ve cleaned up with lots of extra donuts and haven’t had to rush around and play every 4 hours. Nice for a change. Event prizes werent that good but still enjoyed this after playing since the beginiging. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Nice and easy to acquire prizes and chances to get donuts

  29. Finished the prize track last week and haven’t been playing a lot since then. The usual effect – completely tapped out after long events. But I am actually glad for the breathing space, since the time in between events is usually to short anyway.
