Springfield Showoff: Springfield Jobs

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.

So now that the Springfield Jobs event is slated to leave our games tomorrow, I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff!  This time featuring your Around the World inspired designs, as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time!  You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:

Once again we’ve used a Gallery to display your images. This allows us to get all of your images displayed, and showoff your hard work!  Simply tap the images below to be taken to the slideshow.  The name of the creator will be listed at bottom of each pic. (and as always they’re in alphabetical order)

A couple of notes, there were a few submissions I couldn’t add because the photos weren’t valid.  So if I missed yours, I apologize..it was likely because it was sent in a way where I couldn’t add it to the gallery here. (in some cases I couldn’t even open the file sent).  Feel free to add your submissions to the comments below if I missed them here…

Whew!  You guys really liked showing off your towns!  And we loved checking them out!  You all did such a great job…you gave us some great ideas! What did you all think of your fellow Addict’s designs?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Stay tuned for the next Showoff announcement!  In the meantime keep designing those Springfields!

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Share your images in the Comments below, share them on our Facebook Page, Link them to our Twitter feed, or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

  1. What are the multi colored buildings(possibly came with a character) in some of the pictures?

    • The only buildings that I can think of which are multi-coloured are the Grand Canals which have the little path on the rivers and the Terrace Houses which are the little 1 story buildings. They both were available in crafting during the event. If it not them then I’m not sure which buildings you are talking about so you will have to be a bit more descriptive about them.

  2. Great designs; I particularly like the variations on Little Italy.

  3. Great designs ! I need to learn how to stitch photos together – I’d really like to see my town all at once.

  4. For some reason the game put me back to Act 1. Which sucks cause it’s about to end and all items are locked AGAIN. I finished all Acts but missing a few extra items that I needed to buy like FIRST BANK of Springfield ATM.
Why is it starting me over?

  5. I wanted to add what I have done with my Little Italy and Act 3 items since I have really liked designing these items. I will add the Little London area soon in a reply to this comment. I really like what everyone in the showoff has done especially the ones that are not using many items in their designs. 😀

    • I really love what you did with your Little Italy. I live minimalist style of some of the town’s. Thanks everyone for sharing .

    • Very cool !!!!!😉

      • Thank you Crazymom732, I really liked using little items to decorate Little Italy and most of these items I had in storage so it was fun to clear it up a bit. I originally was going to put the Grand Canal decorations where the houses were but I couldn’t really do much with only 1 of each canal at the time. I had also forgotten about Little London as well so I hope I can add it here later on today. 🙂

    • Even though it is a week later, I still wanted to include my London design here in the comments. I didn’t intend to leave it a week but I had forgotten about including it. I also want to show what I done with MoHo House since I included it in the prize breakdown post of Nigel and MoHo House.

Taking the idea of my neighbor Sandytoes, I decided to put the Giant Ferris Wheel in Squidport, not in the London area.

  8. I only started to desing my italian part. It looks not bad but i don’t have enough venice houses. My fault as soon as i was really sure to get fit tony, i didn’t even play for a couple of days. Plan is tho to make a complete european quarter. I will have to move the eiffeltower and bastille too. Well.. if i have some time…

  9. Bindi55, very cool ferris wheel and park. I will be borrowing this design 😉

  10. Some very creative ideas.

they all look better than mine, very nice!

    • Some here. Too many buildings all at once I feel overwhelmed. So they are just sitting there until some creativity hits me, or I steal some designs. Lol

      • omnipotentwiz

        yeah

      • This event was such a mish mash of buildings that mine will be scattered all over once I get around to real designing.
For those of you wondering what to do with that hideous orange casino- I found it fits perfectly behind the hip hop stage or the pop stage.
