It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

First of all, today is Mother’s Day here in the US (and a few other countries as well) so Happy Mother’s Day to all the great moms out there!
The Simpsons are back this week with an all-new episode! What do you think will happen in this week’s episode?

Just removed some houses from storage. Try to remove blue house, instead of getting just blue houses I also received purple houses. I assumed it is because when I stored them I stored them together. This was very annoying.
I assume this is a side effect of the new group store. Instead of adding to the number in storage it might be storing additional information.

I originally thought it was the order that you stored the buildings but then realised that more Blue Houses were placed out of storage than the one you stored in the video. I did notice something similar when I was placing some Grand Canals out of the storage and the Queen’s Carriage would be ready to place when I haven’t placed all the 5 types of canals (only have 2 of each) but it might of been that I placed the 2 GC 5s and then the carriage would appear next.

Have we ever done a “what’s your favorite voice clip” thread? Myself, I can’t keep mine out of my head. Greystash’s job completion line makes me laugh every time.
Yanny vs Laurel
Check out twitter. I hear “Yammy” except when it is sped up or or high pitch (+8 semitones), then I hear Laurel. Would be interested in a poll which would distinguish be age and sex. (Laurel – Male – Under 21, etc).
There is no debate. It clearly says ‘Laurel’!!!

LOL, it CLEARLY is both. For what I gather, it was started by high school students so it is not based on age. And it doesn’t appear to be based on sex. So I guess it is possibly based on ear shape (affecting high and low pitch), and/or how your brain is wired.
It just proves that when people say they heard two different things, they may just both be right.

Yesterday I could clearly hear Yanny. 🙂
With the volume louder (Just now) and clicking the “Yanny v Laurel” link from a different site, I now hear it as Laurel!
(and now I can’t hear Yanny anymore even if I try)
I’m confused… :-/
According to the news those that can hear a higher pitch hear “Yanni”, though the word was “Laurel”
I saw that on the news too.
It was a fun ‘experiment’ to make us all go crazy wondering why we could all hear a different name. 🙂

Happy blate mother’s day !!! This was my first mother’s day to me!!!! I didn’t did to much, just spending the day with my baby, everyone was working that day :(, but at least I didn’t cook, only my baby ‘s meal 🙂
I have been so buay, I didnt finish last event, I was hopping that EA give us that extra hours, I was 200 short but meh! didnt matter. With t his mini event, I only interested in the facade.
Im planning to make an extreme make over to my Speinfield, thanks to Patric and all of your cool 3D ideas, im saving around 35 freeland tokens, so I will have room to design, I just need two things: time and imagination 😥

I had a mischievous little bugger tag my town the other day and now i cannot get my righteous meter back up does anyone have any tricks? Thank you..
Training walls always add points, hide some behind your buildings.

Like omnipotentwiz suggested, you can place training walls. (The red wall with a door on it) You need to be on level 33 or higher to buy them. You may need quite a few though to bring your star rating back. I think you will need a minimum of 5 per star ( though it may vary on each level) 🐱
Ok but then can I get rid of the walls after a certain amount of time there’s gotta be another way because I’ve been playing for a few years It’s happened before but I dont remember it taking too much time or effort to get it back to full strength? They really don’t go with my theme?
One, hiding them behind buildings makes them not need to go with your theme, because they arent visible.

Yes, I believe you can, I had about 8 hidden, but I stored them as a test to see and my rating stayed at 5 stars.
I’m not sure if it is still the case, but I recall that visiting ‘other Springfield’ and tapping on Sideshow Bob also helps to improve the righteousness rating. (that’s if you can find him-if you stay in the 1 spot he usually appears)
The higher the level, the harder it is to get the points back. 🙁
I like my town to look nice too, so I know what you mean about it not going with your town theme, but you can hide them, I recommend hiding a few behind the school, then wait maybe 2 or 3 days and store the walls to see if your rating is back up, then you can just sell the walls.
I’ve found that I love spreading the word about this game. I can safely say I’m an addict, usually getting on during my free time or just when I have a moment of decorating inspiration. Most people have at tried if not just heard about the game due to it’s age, so it’s easy to slip into conversation. We all know it here, this game is so much fun and easily the best town builder on mobile. I love having a group of people, all quiet and working on their towns with the occasional response of “Huh” and “you talking to me?” Super excited to see my friends town’s come together in the future.
Sorry, screwed up my reply….was going to say it’s a great idea to have a TSTO meeting, instead of a Book Club meeting (wine spritzers optional🍷). A little quieter maybe, but lots more fun😄.
It would be fun to pick a movie or a book…and discuss in the open thread. I belong to a book club and a movie club…but we don’t meet often enough.
