As 2018 rolls on through so do the mini-events. We’re now into our third mini-event of the year and this time around it’s a revival of the classic, Who Shot Mr. Burns? Yes, we’re tackling the never before seen Part 3 of the Simpsons classic. With a few interesting (read that as weird) twists and turns along the way. Of course, as we’ve said over the last few years, mini-events have become low stress “events” so you can enjoy some relaxing downtime in TSTO, but still have something to keep you tapping every so often.
Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of the Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part Three) questline, you’ll have to earn 
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.

Make Hibbert Deny Patients MRIs to Mine Burnscoins- 3hrs
Make Smithers Snoop Around- 3hrs
Mine Burnscoins- x400.
Once you’ve completed that task you’ll automatically be awarded the animation and you’ll see this message popup…
At this point, it’ll be automatically added to Mr. Burns’ set of tasks…nothing to do or move. An automatic change.
This is a 1 hour task for Mr. Burns and it earns $70, 17xp. And it’ll take place at the Scale Model of Springfield…
Such an evil man….

Has anyone else having problems with having to update the game? Every time I try to get on I’ll have to update it before I can play.

Mr. Burns has better Outdoor Tasks then this (am I the ONLY one who felt this Mini-Event was an Epic Fail by EA, so it was back to Kem Farming?) 🤷♂️
Another game glitch. Periodically, my game slows down to a crawl, to the point where I can’t even move around my town. It seems to happen at random when I’m tapping in the recycling center. I’ve gone to Krustyland and back, to my neighbors and back, and even rebooted my computer. The only thing that works is to leave the game alone for 15 minutes or so. Since this is only a periodic thing, not sure EA can help. Wondering how wide spread this glitch is?
It is something that has shown up in the most recent update. It appears to be a combination of memory on your device, and some bad programming when they added the ability to select and store/move land/water/roads etc. It kind of makes sense, as it is a whole extra layer to which the game has to react. But, it is rEAlly annoying, and pretty widely reported (including our own Safi).
I’m not sure it has anything to do with device storage. At least from my experience. I have 400GB free on my iPad (pro) and have had issues since the update.
What I have found is that it seems to be linked with either using the short-cuts to get to characters (the character task icon or moving from a task list that allows ‘go to’ function) or working in the railyard.
I agree…it is all speculative at this point. I just know that I can work in my railyard with no problems…but trying to clear a chunk of KEMs locks everything up for at least 30 seconds. Also…when the game gets “laggy” (everything moving in slow motion), it clears when I reboot my device(s). Works the same with either my iPad or iPhone…both of which are brand new, and have loads of storage. But, remember…caching memory is different than storage memory.
I haven’t had that in my own springfield, but it happened twice yesterday while on friends visits. Yours worked fine, but on two others I couldn’t move around at all even after going out and going back in.
Aren’t all the “outside tasks” for all the characters animated? That’s kinda the whole idea. Getting a 4hr “outside task” as a prize is kinda lame, especially for Burns. With all his skins, how many does that make to choose from? 10? 12?
Lately all the new characters have been getting their 4 and 8 hour tasks outside which is getting boring IMO. There are also a couple of outside 60m tasks for Burns but my favourite is the one at the Penny Fountain. I also am not a fan of getting a 4h visual task as a prize.
Especially since the decoration will likely end up in storage. If I want a 4 hour outdoor task for Burns it’s going to be either the baseball swing or Water Baron task.
Or bowling really badly with the pinpals…that’s on eof my favorites.
I agree this feels especially lame. The only thing here i value is the sun blocker
I can’t understand, once one has the money mountain, why I’d send MrBurns on anything but the railiyard or super-extra payout at the money-mountain. I’m not yet at the stage of ‘way too much income.’
Personally love animations as prizes. While this wasn’t the best of them, I really enjoy seeing my people out and about in Springfield. Burns riding the lawyer is probably my favorite.
