Did you go into TSTO this morning and see something strange happen? Something similar to this perhaps?
Weird right? That’s not you, who the heck is this? So you hit logout and try to log into your correct account. Of course, it’s not that simple, as you’re then you’re met with a message similar to this…
Huh? WTF?! WHERE IS MY SPRINGFIELD?! These may be some of the thoughts going through your head.
Relax. Take a deep breath. It’s fixable I promise. This happened to me this morning and I had it fixed in under a minute.
If this happens to you, simply hard close TSTO. (and by hard close I mean shut down the app. So that involves you going to whatever app manager you have and force closing the game. This could be as simple as holding the home button down on iOS and swiping away the game or hitting the double angles on Android and swiping away the game. In any need to HARD CLOSE/FORCE CLOSE it).
Then restart TSTO. You may be logged in as someone else. In my game it had me logged in as 1. Weird. Just hit the logout button. And try to log back into your game. Once you get the login popup you should be able to log right back into your Springfield and everything will be fine.
If for some reason this doesn’t work…others have mentioned they uninstalled and reinstalled TSTO and were successful. So that’s another option for you.
But for the love of Jebus…whatever you do don’t panic. Your game is not lost. You can get it back, just stay calm and follow the steps above. If you’re still having issues you can contact EA…but they’re just going to tell you to do the same thing I just did…

This glitch started to hit my game yesterday. I get it fixed by following the advice given in this post, the bad thing is I have to repeat it every single time my game crushes, which happens very frequently, or everytime I just stop playing.
Just waiting for this event to end, hoping next update will end this mess!
I’m exactly the same Kevin. Not played for nearly 2 weeks and was a daily player..When I go to uninstall the game it says I will lose all documents and data! Did a hard reset on iPad and message is the same. Does this mean we lose the whole game?

My ea id has gone, the game wants me to play anonymously. I think it’s time to say goodbye to TSTO after 5 years 😥

I tried all this a few times and sadly it didn’t work. Found a way to email ea as it didn’t work through their own website (UK). Hoping they will confirm I won’t lose the lot. Thanks for your help
No, you don’t lose everything as long as you log back in when you redownload it. I think that’s an iPad warning. At least that is the way it worked for me.

Having probs loading the game.
Would like to uninstall & reinstall it but want to make sure i’m doing it correctly and not going to lose several years worth of progress.
Delete the app from my ipad, go to the app store and re-download it, sign in on my Origin account i currently have and everything should be roughly the way it was before i did the above?
I will not lose everything and have to start over, correct?
