As 2018 rolls on through so do the mini-events. We’re now into our third mini-event of the year and this time around it’s a revival of the classic, Who Shot Mr. Burns? Yes, we’re tackling the never before seen Part 3 of the Simpsons classic. With a few interesting (read that as weird) twists and turns along the way. Of course, as we’ve said over the last few years, mini-events have become low stress “events” so you can enjoy some relaxing downtime in TSTO, but still have something to keep you tapping every so often.
Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of the Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part Three) questline, you’ll have to earn 
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.
Let’s take a look at the details of the sixth (and final) prize, the Sundial & “Get Shot” Animation…what it does and how you unlock it…

How You Unlock It: Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part Three) Pt. 6
Make Pilfer Sweets from Infant- 4hrs

Once you’ve completed the tasks you’ll automatically be awarded the Sundial and animation. While the animation will automatically appear in your list of animations, the Sundial will have an option to place or store it. (choose to place it, you’ll need it for the event & if you don’t place it the task will be grayed out in Mr. Burns’ task list)…
And here are the basic facts on the Sundial…
Size: 3×3
Earns: Nothing. Just a decoration
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Can be Placed:grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt|beach
What Does It Do: Burns’ “Get Shot” animation takes place there
As far as the animation itself, it’s a 3hr task for Mr. Burns that earns $135, 35xp. And as mentioned above it takes place at the Sundial. Without the Sundial it’ll appear grayed out in your task list.
And that completes the details of the sixth (and final) Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part Three) prize!
Nothing to do now but sit back and wait for the next event to hit…oh and finish the rest of the questline. Gotta find out what happens in Who Shot Mr. Burns (Part Four), right?
What are your thoughts on the Sundial and “get shot” animation? Will you be using it in your Springfield or storing it once the event is over? I know Wookiee said he plans to make Burns “get shot” as punishment for what a jerk he is…how about you? If you have placed it, where have you placed it in town? 😤Took a couple days to finally complete Uninstall
/ Reinstall with lame wifi while out of town… was originally on track & got screwed out of earning the classic Sundial… quite lame & will be taking it up w/ EA 😤
I’m still getting the “laggy” effect when i send workers to recycle, then every 4 hours [after i collect] the lag will ease up so I can move around again. But then, the lag starts up again as soon as I try to put even one worker on any monorail job. How can this be fixed. Is anyone else having this problem? I already uninstalled and reinstalled it. Did the Neighbor/Krustyland thing. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
I put the sundial in Mr. Burns’ front yard, and I am planning on putting the mini-Springfield into my County Fair. Needs some major rework, though, because after squeezing in the helicopter ride and the Hypnotist’s tent there is just no room left. Also, I still haven’t quite finished my little Italy/London, at least not to my satisfaction. I guess I better get a move on, before the next big event hits. 🙂
I’m storing EVERYTHING related to this Mini-Event while tidying up my Springfield! Most of it is “meh” to me (I could say the same thing regarding various Mini-Events over the years). If it’s taking up space? then Store it until you find the right Zone for it …. I just wish some of these things could be moved to Krustyland (ie Scale Model Springfield).
I like how Sundial has two facades (or sorts) – tap on it and a burns chalk outline appears…a rare detail.
The model Springfield might make a good addition to a county fair area…😁

The sundial goes nicely in front of the Natual History Museum…the roof and the sundial are the same color, so that also helps it tie in.

I got the weird login and it logged me into the start of a new game 😮
I logged out asap and was able get back in (whew)
Scared me after just recently having my game rolled back for the other glitch and losing bumblebee man from Cinco de mayo 🙁
Anyone having trouble logging into their account today??
I had exactly the same thing happen yesterday and again today a short while ago. It was fine this morning, but but now I’m back to the same frustrating situation. I called EA they just said their aware of the bug and. Are working on fixing it.
Btw: I’m using kindle fire. I don’t know if it’s our turn to get screwed or what. Unfortunately for the other players who use different game gadgets they’ve had problems from the beginning. Oh well I’ll keep trying to log into my own town. 😈 😬
Anyone else log on this morning only to get a message that you’re logged in under some seemingly random series of letters & number? I logged out of that, and now I can’t log back in. I get the message “An error occurred processing the login. Please retry.”

I received the same message, logged out, and now cannot log back in.
Uninstall and reinstall. I called an EA rep this morning about this very issue. He said a small percentage of players have been experiencing this due to a glitch or something, and a clean install should solve it. As of this writing I was able to successfully log in, and the game is re-downloading the bulk of the game.

Same thing happening to me. I hard closed the game and still can’t log back in.
Me too just now. I kept on thinking I had the wrong pasword, so reset it and it still didn’t work. But yes, I was logged in as something with W and some numbers when my username has melody in it, just like my name on here does.

This happened to me. I changed my password and now I can log in at all. However, I can log in on my phone! I have a samsung phone and an iPad. I thought after logging onto my phone that it would work on my iPad, but, no.
After being able to log into my phone, I had to uninstall the app on my iPad. I reinstalled and was able to log in. Whew.
Yes. I have the Rollback Bug and hope it’s a sign that EA has found the cure. However, I followed the instructions from help.ea.com to reset my password and still cannot log in.

uninstall/reinstall trick worked for me.
Not sure where to ask this. Is the game borked again? I’ve just been into my game to be told I’m logged in as someone else and when I’ve tried to log in as me I’m told there’s an error in the log in process. This is a new one on me 😕

Help, I don’t know what to do. I have played since the Stonecutters event. Now I can’t login and when I try to change my password, they say my email account doesn’t exist.
PS, when I woke up this morning it said I was logged in under a different name.
Hard close your game. Reopen. Logout if you’re logged into a different game. Then log back in under your name

On a separate note, congrats on #2.
I tried that multiple times and changed my password.

Update: completely uninstalled and reinstalled and I was able to log right back in.

I got force logged out back on the update two weeks ago. Since then I have not been able to log in at all. EA Help says “Someone is working on it, please leave us alone.” Sadly, I will miss this whole event which will be the first in five years.
Game won’t let me on. 1st it said i was logged on as “Khfrr35yczschj” or something. So i tried to lig in with my info. Now it just says there’s been an error and to Retry. Ive force stopped, rinse, lather, repeat. Still no luck. *sigh* Anyone know what’s wrong? Thanx. 😞

For the first time in a long time, I’m putting this near the “old” part of town in a park area because it is so iconic for the Simpsons.
I may use it waiting around for glass recycling.
In terms of “last prizes” this one wasn’t the greatest. Still have no clue what to do with it 😥
I don’t think you can really complain too much about free prizes and I don’t mind this one – it is from a classic episode of the Simpsons and I think I’ll find a good location for this – not sure where yet but it should be rather easy as it is not very big. Potentially this will work well in a park… would like really nice in a park at night (hint hint EA… night mode would be very good).
