Itchy and Scratchy Land: Event Rundown (and Act 1 Content)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, the day has finally come…it’s time to get rid of Krustyland forever!  The newest update to hit TSTO finally axes Krustyland!

This update should autostart for you, with a 6s task for 3 Springfielders.  After that, you’ll be prompted to nuke Krustyland.  You cannot progress until you nuke Krustyland.  It’s not something you have to do immediately, but you do have to do it (or it’ll be done for you) by Monday, June 4th.

So let’s break down the newest update, shall we?

Event Ends July 11th.
Act 1 ends June 13th

First, let’s talk about the Krustyland Nuke.

As mentioned above, you will not be able to progress in the event until you’ve nuked Krustyland.  You’ll have 5 days to do it on your own, or it’ll be done for you automatically on June 4th.

So store your items, if you like your designs ASAP.

Second, you will receive a land token for Springfield for every spot of land you have in Krustyland.  So if you haven’t already done so, BUY ALL THE LAND YOU CAN IN KRUSTYLAND BEFORE YOU NUKE.

For those that want a land map of K-Land here it is:

As far as what happens with tickets….

you’ll be able to keep them.  You can purchase Krustyland stuff in your store for Tickets still.  It’s just all moved to Springfield.

In addition, for those asking, you’ll also be able to place Krustyland walkways in Springfield now.  They’ll appear with your Road Tiles/Dirt etc.

I’ll have a questline post up (likely tomorrow AM), but you will receive ITCHY for Free as part of the questline.

Scratchy costs 300 donuts…yikes!

Now onto the other basics….

You’ll first be tasked with placing the Itchy and Scratchy Land Gate which will be free.  This gate will serve as your event “hub”.  Tapping on it will bring up tasks, and the area around it will serve as your bonus area (more on that in a minute)

The gate comes with a patch of land and a free land token.

The event itself (ie prizes and new items in the store) unlocks after you complete The Itchy-Est Place on Earth Pt. 3.

Act 1 prize currency is foam Knives (i’ll explain how to earn them in a minute)

Here are the prizes for Act 1…

Itchy & Scratchy Heliocoper- 7,600

Free Land Token- 16,200

Nurse’s Station- 24,900

Roger Meyers Sr. Statue- 33,800

500 Itchy and Scratchy Money (Crafting Currency)- 40,120

Diane- 51,800

Crafting

There will be different rounds of crafting with this event, just like the last one.  Each new Act opens more craftables. Except Levels are back with this one…

The crafting currency is  Itchy and Scratchy Money!  It is excepted here…

You can earn I&S Money by tapping visitors and sending characters on tasks.  Here’s the craftables list…

Injury 500 Short Track- 600

Injury 500 Corner- 600

Injury 500 Long Track- 1200

Itchy and Scratchy Land Banner- 1000

Itchy Parking Lot- 2000

Scratchy Parking Lot- 2000

Itchy & Scratchy Land Ticket Booth- 1000

Nurses Station- 4000 (also requires that you unlock nurses station from prize track)

For Act 1 you’ll need to reach Crafting level 4.  After that the items will unlock during Act 2.

Bonus Area

Just like the last two events, there’s an arrangement bonus around the I&S Gate.  Placing items that earn arrangement bonus in this area award you even more event currency (only impacts prize track currency, not crafting currency).  This area is MASSIVE.

Items such as the Injury 500 and craftables all earn arrangement bonuses.  So place them in the area to increase your currency…

Injury 500

While we’re on the topic of the Injury 500….you’ll need to place the long track correctly inside the ride so that it can be used.  If you see from the inital placement that long track is slightly off…

Just slide that long track a little bit to the right to get it to line up correctly.  Should look like this…

Earning Event Currency

Much like every other event….simply tap Park Visitors to earn Foam Knives and Crafting Currency.

Park Visitors Look like this..

Tapping them will earn you 5 and 4 .

You can also tap them in your neighbor’s towns.  More on that in a minute…

They Spawn at a rate of 1/10 minutes.  You can have a max of 30 in your town at once, with a bank of 30.

You can also earn event currency by sending characters to staff rides (this rate earned changes with your arrangement bonus %).  Simply tap the Itchy & Scratchy gate to Staff Rides.

Neighbor Actions

Neighbor Actions unlock with The Itchy-Est Place on Earth Pt. 4.

You can tap 3 Vistors in your neighbors towns, it’ll earn the same 5  that you earn in your own town.

New Items In Store…

First, in celebration of donut day on Friday (June 1st) EA is doing some donut specials.

Not bad if you’re looking to spend some cash on donuts.

Also, they’re giving you some free donuts for Donut day…and making it temporarily rain donuts…

Donut day offers end June 6th

Now onto the other items in the store…

New stuff…

There are a few new K-Land items (which you can find by tapping the Krusty icon in the store).  These will all cost tickets…

Parking lots, debris, Walls, highways and more.  Check out that area to see what’s available to you.

Cartoon Set & Scratchy- 300 Donuts. Scratchy can staff rides.

Nickel & Dime Animation & Jeremy- 150 Donuts.  Jeremy can staff rides.

Itchy’s Mine Field- 100 Donuts.  Earns 120 /4hrs

Itchy and Scratchy Bot- 60 Donuts

Krustylu Studios Bundle- Includes Showshow Mel, 140 Donuts, Rebate 40 Donuts, NET 100 donuts (good buy at 100 donuts)

Other things to know…

-It looks like we’ll be getting a new President for 4th of July (as well as old ones coming back)
-Does look like there will be some kind of Pride element.
-It appears, even with having to move K-Land to Springfield, the item limit has NOT been increased.  This will impact a bunch of you.  Not cool.
-Yes, we’ll be back with the Calendar, Turbo Tappin’ and other info you’ll need to know (and yes ALLLLLL the Should I Buys…) so relax and enjoy day 1.

What are your thoughts on the Itchy and Scratchy Land Event?  Items you’re looking forward to getting? Will you be building a massive theme park or will all of this be hitting storage come July?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’m actually really sad to see my Krustyland go. And the thought of redesigning the whole thing is giving me agidda. *breathe, it’s just a game”

  2. I got up to level 25 this morning, started the krustyland quest and then updated. It’s still saying that I have to buy the krustyland shuttle… what should I do?

  3. Can sideshow mel be used to earn event currency? Checking before I purchase…thanks

  4. Has anyone’s game seriously slowed down? My game isn’t nearly as big as other peoples (I’ve only been playing since around Halloween 2016) so I know the number of items in my town can’t be that high. The game is nearly unplayable at this point, and I was actually looking forward to this update!

  5. All my KL buildings and decorations are not in my inventory! They’re all gone! What do I do?

    • Look for the Krustyland Icon in your inventory sub-sections…it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. All your Krustland stuff should be in it.👍😄

      • I tried that and it’s not in there. I also don’t have the premium items from KL that I previous purchased. It’s a glitch because I don’t have the option to purchase any of the premium items in the update.

    • Go into your inventory icons and tap on the new one, the Krusty entrance.

  6. Love all the new land, looking forward to making theme parks in town. Love being able to add the duff guys to duffland where they belong.
Hate the item limit not being increased, hate that Springfield heights is still so small compared to the rest of the map.
Since it’s inception I have disliked most of the Springfield heights buildings and have wanted to put all the posh buildings there, Burns and Wolfcastles mansions etc, but they limit it to that tiny box.
Please EA, I am not complaining about all the new land but even out Springfield heights and increase the item limit.
I recently restarted my map and I hit the 7500 or whatever the baseline limit is with a mostly empty map.
If you won’t increase the map then consider doing longer monorail straight track pieces, longer fence and wall pieces, tree clusters etc so we can reduce the items that way.
Also some alternative skins for track pieces would be nice. Like with greenery around the base for if a piece is going through woodland.
Rant over, still love the game and I loved the I&S Land episode “Hey Mouse, say cheese”

    • I think they upped the limit late last night…I got a message that I had reached 10,900 pieces, but was allowed to continue placing stuff. Not sure what the new limit is, tho.🤷‍♀️

      • 11,600…

Are you having Lag/Freezing in your game Ebron?

        • I took the advice of other tappers and shifted a piece of my racetrack just to disconnect the animation. Working better, for sure, but still very laggy when you try to move a whole section rather than a piece, and reaaalllyyy slow when you try to move anything with road/water/dirt underneath. I think that new feature is pretty buggy.

          • I think it may be an item limits issue too…the more stuff you have the worse your lag is from what I’m seeing. (which is why I wanted to know if you were lagging, since I know you’re usually maxed out)
Just goes to show you that those messages about item limit warnings impacting game performance are true lol

  7. I have no park visitors and no Itchy, no crafting. Do these have to unlock?

    • Yes via the questline.

    • Mine didn’t quite unlock as expected, either…
After the event “started” – 6 sec tasks – I got no more questline. Sent folks to earn currency at the I&S Gate, and Bart to ride the racetrack (the full 4 hour tasks for both) and one/both of those seemed to trigger the next step in the questline and I got Itchy, tappable folks wandering my town, and crafting access, and seems to be back on track…
Well, except the item limit and also being unable to keep my racetrack whole or my game gets a severe case of the lags…

  8. I was most excited to finally see some highway! Except… you can’t make junctions with them, you can’t integrate them with existing roads in any neat way… so actually pointless?

  9. I don’t think I can thank you enough, Alissa for the heads-up on the land token swap. I save up my Krustyland tickets and exchange them for in-game cash and I’m so pleased I had 20,000 saved. This would have got me $700,000 or one Springfield land tile. As it is I bought all the land in Krustyland except for three squares and I’ve ended up with 99 land tokens.

Thank you so much! Love you guys and love this site. You’re the best. 😎

  10. I have a partial solution. My game kept crashing when I nuked Krustyland on my iPad so I went to my iPhone and nuked it there . I was able to open my game on my iPad after starting the questline. Now I just have to wait for Bart to finish recycling glass to continue the questline.

  11. Anyone else have random guests that they can’t tap? I’m so frustrated and at a loss. I have random people wandering around and sometimes when I tap them – nothing happens. Wtheck?

    • I think the random guests give Krustyland tickets, same as the park visitors in Krustyland. I tried to tap some with the same result but I’m pretty sure I saw tickets appearing at one point. If this is wrong I’m sure someone else can help.

      • yup. Same thing at my end. They are Krustyland (a wholly owned subsidiary of Itchy and Scratchy Land in my game) guests. They generate krusty land tickets after a set period of time.

      • You are correct, the visitors migrated from Krustyland and generate tickets just like when they were there. If they don’t have a balloon, they’re ticket producers.

  12. I’m excited about this update 😎

I never knew what to do with all the land in KL… Now I can redesign everything in a more compact style.

Look in the characters section of your inventory after nuking KL. Personally I miss the Itchy mascot. Both and the balloon were the only premium items I purchased. Maybe he’s walking already around.

The teleport function of the KL shuttle is awesome. The original is deeply integrated in my town centre, I would not like to remove it.

111 Land tiles. Wow! Much to do, the clutter from former events needs attention, too…

  13. Wow…instead of the usual 10min for donut farming, it took me 50 mins due to the lag in the game right now. That’s a way to fight KEM-farming. *-,-

  14. The lag on my galaxy tab A is coming from the Injury 500, if you move a piece of track so it’s no longer a circuit the lag stops.

  15. A lot lof lag comes along with this uodate. Makes it REALLY hard to play Find Maggie in a decent way. Along with the disappearing of Sideshow Me, this is a serious blow to the free donut lovers…

  16. chaostheory7777

Is anyone else town feel sluggish to move around in since new update? It takes twice as long to tap through everybody.

  17. After nuking Krustyland it appears as if almost all of my Krustyland stuff is missing… all of the KL icons in the inventory are empty and after reading here, I’ll add that yes, I’ve scanned through the general inventory view as well…

Oddly I do still have Princess whats-her-name walking around my Springfield but if I select her and try to put her in my inventory, nothing happens — she stays on the screen and starts walking around again.

I’ve tried logging out and logging back in, full reboot of ipad and iphone, deleting and reinstalling from the app store… other ideas or should I just contact EA? The only thing I haven’t done yet is finished the I&S tasks — have to wait another 9 more hours until I can tap visitors in other people’s towns…

    • Same thing has happened to me. The only items I got back after nuking was the two sections I grouped up and stored so I wouldn’t have to redo, which didn’t include any of the rides or most of the decorations. I also don’t have the second Krustyland transporter. When I click on the one I already have it asked me if I wanted to go to the second one, I click yes, the screen flashes, and I am still at the same spot.

    • Yeah, I did get the automatically grouped entrance as well, but that was it. And preceding further in the quest didn’t make a difference, so… I’ve submitted an issue with EA and we’ll see what happens…

      • Well, that was less then encouraging…

Asked to wait 24 hours for the servers to refresh their in-store content and see if my content returns at that time since I’m not seeing some of the specific attractions I remember in the store for purchase either. And then contact them again if it’s still missing.

In the mean time, i’m supposed to make a list of the items I remember with their exact names… guess I’m trolling the forums tonight as (a) I didn’t take screen shots before hand, and (b) I have no idea what the name of each item was, just what it kind of looked like…

I have a better understanding of the people who have thrown up their arms and walked away after 3+ years (I think… IIRC my first event was the Halloween preceding the original Monorail event).

Tune in tomorrow, same Bat-Time, same Bat-Channel…

        • Tomorrow I will be posting a screen shot of my KrustyLand before nuking. It should give you a good idea of what you may have had.
I archived my KL with screen shots…then saved in chunks…still not sure if everything came over, but I have found the primary items in my storage.

          • Thanks, I’ll take a look when they’re up. I think between this site and another wiki focused on TSTO that I occasionally visit that I’ll probably remember most of them, but another visual never hurts!

And I don’t really think that I will leave after this, especially if it does eventually get resolved reasonably — it’s the first major glitch I’ve had to deal with — but I can say that I understand a little better now 🙂

My biggest fear is come Monday I’ll be over half-way done with ACT 1 and EA will tell me I need to roll back to when KL was still separate and do it again… from everything I’ve heard so far, no reason to really expect this, but that’s the way my mind works sometimes!

        • So I guess we wait then. I didn’t think to take a screen shot either, it never occurred to me that there could be an issue. Next nuke I will know better. Going to go get started on my list and hope for the best. Thanks for the update.

        • Ok, so not tomorrow, but similar Bat-Time and Channel…

After a few back-and-forths with EA, I’m told to… wait. Apparently many have the same issue with old Krustyland content being somewhere in limbo, not quite here, but still affecting the Krusty Meter and with some items present (in my case Penelope but without the Krusty Wheel that spawned her)… the studio is aware and working on a patch and it will be pushed “soon”, but they couldn’t/wouldn’t give me a date.

Wish I had better news, but I’m not really surprised, and having worked on large scale rollouts myself, I know the kind of insanity and pressure the programmers are under, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

  18. So glad they brought back Praiseland

  19. I guess I was in the minority as I liked KL being separate from my Springfield. Don’t like having to put KL in my Springfield without a item limit increase. What bugs me is that EA forgot about KL for 5 years & their solution is to have us shove it into our Springfield? We spend time designing our towns, now we have to figure out how to fit 2 amusement parks into that design without an increase in the amount of things you can have in one town, which we’ll have to decide which to keep, our designs that we spent a lot of years on making or an older amusement park that I had plenty of space to fit an I&S expansion into, in a separate land that didn’t count against the item limit in my main town.

Certainly this I&S isn’t worthy of a 42 day/3 Act event. I know you were excited about this, but frankly, I don’t see much to get excited about (just another 4 hour grindfest) and will really miss having KL in a seperate area as well as seeing that KL splashscreen. EA should change the name of the game to The Simpsons Grind Out…lol

  20. Is the Itchy and Scratch Mascot 65 EACH or 65 for BOTH?

  21. There is a little girl with a lollipop walking around my town and I am unable to tap on her. I have a pic but don’t know how to post it. Weird!

  22. ok I see the mystery box takes care of that. Thanks

  23. Do you know if some premium rides we didn’t buy in old krustyland will still be available in new krustyland?

    I really want the rides.

    • KL mystery box! I hit the long desired twirl and hurl on the first try. Also considering adding it to my Rigellian area.

  24. marina jardine

what are the highways for? where do you put them?
    and I got itchy

  25. anyone else having issues tapping the visitor in your Springfield and on neighbors???, I get currency on neighbors and the ones walking around my town cannot be tapped

    • Only the balloon carrying visitors are part of the event and are tappable, the others were part of Krustyland and now live in Springfield. They generate tickets every 4 hours , just like they did there…if you see a ticket floating over them, they will give you tickets when tapped.

  26. ryanhatton526

I like the idea of the new event. But i don’tt want to integrate KL into my Springfield. This sucks. I hate clutter. I suppose there’s really no good reason to not just sell everything off and say goodbye to KL

  27. Anyone having this issue…..
Each time l go to go into my game I’m logged out. Each time it will not accept my pw. I leave n come back on n off n then l can get in?? Very frustrating to keep doing this. If this a game issue or do l need to contact EA? Real sick of that blue page showing up.
N the lagging omg. Too much in such a large base. Is this a game issue???
    HELP!!!

  28. i haven’t been able to trigger the crafting portion. i built the track. i have had both bart and lisa use the track. but i don’t even have a prompt telling me to craft or build a building that will allow you to craft. did i miss a step?

    • There’s no crafting building. The gate is the building

    • You can access the crafting menu from the event icon in the upper right corner ( just like other events) or by tapping the I&S Gate. There isn’t anything in the quest to trigger crafting after you’ve built the main racetrack. You just need to buy track pieces (with Krusty bucks, earned by tapping and sending your folks on I&S jobs) to build a larger raceway and reach your 20% bonus. Hope this helps😊.

  29. Nicole & Malette

Do I Have to store all my things first before nuking KL? Or can I just go ahead and nuke and all my things will be in my inventory?

  30. Nancyreagan86

Well, I made an oopsie. I’m very thankful as always for this site and for your informative posts, but this is what I did after I read the advice to buy up Krustyland. In order to get more tickets to buy more Krustyland plots and get Springfield land tokens, I just bought tons of flowers in Springfield to bring over to Krustyland to sell for tickets before I nuked, only to discover that those and anything else like shrubs, trees, etc., I have ever bought in Springfield are now locked in Krustyland, unlike the old post I was going off of, “Things That Can Go in Krustyland” from https://tstoaddicts.com/2015/09/29/can-that-go-in-krustyland/. Now, a palm tree, for instance, will either be inventoried as “Springfield palm tree” if purchased in Springfield, or “Krustyland palm tree” if purchased in Krusytland. Maybe that isn’t a new change and is actually quite old, but thought I’d mention it if it saves anyone else from thinking and doing the same thing. 😉
