Should I Spend Donuts on Ms. Mouse and the Cartoon Motel?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s event time in Springfield!  With the launch of Itchy and Scratchy Land, summer can officially begin for the residents of our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, an all-new event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Ms. Mouse and the Cartoon Motel to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this tiny combo to your town…

For those wondering why you have no idea who this character is, you’re not alone.  She’s literally a blip in the show within a show.  One episode of I&S ends with Itchy having a drink with her at the motel pool. (S9, E21 “Girlie Edition”)

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This one is really hard to justify the price on.  150 donuts for a character that’s barely appeared in the show is really rough.  Most players have no idea who the heck she even is.  She’s also not voiced.  Really hard justification on this one.  Personally, I believe it’s a pass for all players. Wait till she reappears in some random mystery box at half price.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely be passing.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at her tasks…

Ms. Mouse’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Check Rooms 1hr $105, 26xp Cartoon Motel
Tackle Her Finances 4hrs $260, 70xp* Outside/Visual
Relax in Hot Tub with Itchy 6hrs $700, 180xp Cartoon Motel

Relax in Hot Tub 12hrs $600, 150xp* Cartoon Motel
Clean Hotel Rooms 24hrs $1000, 225xp Cartoon Motel

*These are the payouts for when the event is over.  During the event the 4hr, 8hr and 12hr tasks will pay out event currency. 4hr-  Earns 60, 25, 70xp 8hr- Earns 120, 50, 105xp and 12hr- Earns 180, 75, 150xp

Ms. Mouse will also have tasks to Overpay for Sex on the Beach, Try to Win At Blackjack, Drink and Babysit and Dance the Senor Burns…provided you have the buildings associated with those tasks.

What are your thoughts on Ms. Mouse and the Cartoon Motel?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring them to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’m not sure I’ll finish act 1 in time and am wondering what I can buy to help get me there by Wednesday (currently just over 44,000). I was thinking about the Cartoon Motel but now I’m not so sure! Any tips?! Thanks!

    • Now considering the Squeaky Voiced Attendant bundle at 100 donuts to staff rides but can’t see this yet under Should I Buy….any insight on this bundle?

      • Is it a full character or a skin? makes all the difference, there may be more discounted characters at the start of act 2 hopefully.

  2. I understand the justification for not buying her. She’s also a parody of Minnie Mouse and 100% worth it. If they were trying to finally justify a 150 donut character to Alyssa, personally, I would have guessed this would be the ticket. For anyone trying to save donuts I would caution them here, but not discourage. Mind blown.

    • Where was it stated she was a Minnie Mouse parody? She only appeared once as background character in a single Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, sitting in a hottub.

I feel Mrs. Scratchy would’ve been a better fit then her, she appears in a surprising amount of Itchy and Scratchy cartoons. Scratchy Jr is another recurring character in the show.

  3. Boom! Minds blown.

  4. Okay how has no one else noticed this? The premium characters (I have all but Scratchy) can earn double event and CRAFTING currency by sending them on 8 hour tasks. At least one also has a triple earning 12 hour task. You have to scroll to the bottom of the characters jobs and there are event and crafting currency earning jobs. You can’t assign the longer tasks by the Park Gate you have to manually select the character.

This is an absolute dream come true for me. I frequently have days where I can only tap 3 times. The only thing that would make it better is if you could control it through the Park Gate.

Longer than 4 hour tasks that earn the appropriate multiple of event and crafting currency! Seriously everyone needs to know this!

    • I don’t see what you are talking about. I see they can earn Krustyland tickets, but not event currency.

      • It only works on the new characters (I don’t have scratchy to test.) So it is Itchy, Ms. Mouse, and Jeremy. If you select the character and scroll down the event currency tasks are below the normal game cash tasks. All three have 8 hour double earning tasks. At least one (I think both Jeremy and Ms. Mouse) have a 12 hour triple earning task. It does not give you the Park Gate bonus percentage for event currency. It is just a multiple of the default 60 but it does also give you the multiple for crafting currency which the Park Gate bonus does not affect.

I seriously can’t believe this awesome game function hasn’t been noticed and posted all over this site by now.

  5. I actually want to buy Ms. Mouse. But I won’t because I had to overpay for Scratchy…

  6. Ms. Mouse and the Cartoon Motel

Let me get this – 150 Sprinkles for a Premium Character Building combo that doesn’t earn at a Premium rate? I’m going to pass and maybe wait for it to show up again discounted (sorry EA)!

  7. Off topic, but hopefully my experience with logging in issues may help others.
Started with asking my age, false ID, level I etc, then I could not log in at all, just said there was a problem each time.
So I deleted the App completely & then reinstalled it. Took a while to download all the data but now I have no logging in issues at all.

They’d have a good chance of my buying any character that had a 12 or 24 hour outdoor/visual task. Lately it seems all the characters are 4 or 8 hours.

    • Yeah, it would be great if the 1,12 and 24 hour options were visuals for new characters. At least Ms. Mouse got a 6 hour task which is rare because most characters only have the standard 5 jobs (1,4,8,12,24h). It is also great to get female characters added to the game since most of them are usually males.

Not for me, I agree will wait till she’s in a bundle, lame to say the least

  10. I bought. Standard price these days. Mostly I wanted the help with the event as I am bored and am playing less frequently. I used to play 4times a day, now 3 maybe.

    • That’s the main reason I bought her as well, the more help on this event the sooner I can start earning bounts and finish with what is my least liked event. Plus she’s kinda cute lol.

  11. I really don’t understand why EA offers an event premium character and then do not offer them premium event earning rate.

    • By upping your bonus you can give a premium rate to all your characters.

      • True — with respect to XP and $. However, EA usually gives a premium earning rate on event currency, when you buy the latest premium characters during an event. If they’re just not doing that anymore, than Alissa’s advice to wait for a mystery box may end up becoming the new standard.

        • Agreed. They are clearly shifting things around again. Grindfest…grindfest…grindfest.

If you have to reach level 5 to be able to start Act II prizes (which you do). That is a TON of 4-hour grinding. It is also likely why the items are soooooo expensive.

          • You don’t think the fact that donut farmers are becoming more the norm, and the fact that it’s quite easy to KEM or Bloodmobile more than enough donuts to buy what ever you want is the main reason for the higher 🍩 prices on things? And by the way I’m a big farmer so might I be part of that problem?

        • True they should have premium returns, but I was trying to make the point that instead of caring about an individual return you can maximize your return by increasing your bonus level. When you increase your bonus levels above 1000% you really don’t care individual returns. When you hit 3000% you don’t even worry about sending your characters off to earn, but to perform visual actions. At that level you don’t even care that much about collecting rent. Just the casual collection as you move around is sufficient.

  12. I bought this character because for this event I need all the help I can get because I am at a new job in a remote area and can barely get on the internet at all a few times a day.

  13. I think I’ll end up getting this one. I usually only skip the building only premium items. If I skip on a character because I don’t have the real cash to spend at the moment for more donuts I feel like I’ve lost out. Yes, I know it’s irrational lol.

I’m definitely going to have to re-watch some Tom & Jerry cartoons after this event because I think Scratchy is far more introspective and smarter than Tom ever was.

    • *gasp*…..NO ONE bad mouths Jerry….lol

    • Gotta admit…this is the first time I’ve heard of comparing cartoons by way of their introspective appeal. To think, I’ve been missing that approach all these years 😆😆😆.

    • Oddly enough, Scratchy only tried to kill Itchy in the season 1 and the first half of season 2’s episodes. From the latter half of season 2 onward, Scratchy was a humble pacifist who viewed Itchy as his best friend.

  14. One of the best if not the best quest line here. EA did some quality work.

  15. Yes, I bought Minnie mouse 😂

  16. wordsleadmeon

I’m sort of in ‘wait and see’ mode at the moment. She’s around for the remainder of the event if I recall correctly, and I just dropped that ridiculous amount on Scratchy – I justified it by saying that if they’d bundled Itchy in there it wouldn’t. Feel quite as ridiculous – so I don’t want something else to pop up that I want more and then can’t afford. She is darn cute, though, and her task list looks fun.

  17. I still think if you have the doughnuts, then any character is worth buying. 150 doughnuts for a character/building combo is standard.

As for the voiced vs non-voiced aspect……..I play with the sound off anyway. So the fact that she has no voice doesn’t bother me.

    • Same here,, actually non-voiced is a plus for me. When I do have to turn sound on,,all the overlapping voices frustrate me. Turn right back off.

  18. I love this character, she’s cute and her quest line is fun.

  19. Anybody else get app store update about and hour ago EST. My game still lags, not sure if it fixed anything?

  20. The dialogue for her quest is actually rather humorous.
    Yeah, I spent the sprinkles.
