Should I Spend Donuts on June Bellamy and the UPA Talent Agency?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s event time in Springfield!  With the launch of Itchy and Scratchy Land, summer can officially begin for the residents of our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, an all-new event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add June Bellamy and the UPA Talent Agency to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this voice acting combo to your town…

Character: June Bellamy
Building/Decoration:
UPA Talent Agency
Donut Cost: 150 Donuts

9×12

$200, 20xp/12hrs

Leaves stores June 27th

Pros
-Comes with a questline, every questline task earns event currency
-Can staff rides at Itchy and Scratchy Land

Cons
-Not voiced
-Animated on building is meh, all the lights turn on
-Outdoor animations are lackluster
-Won’t use UPA Talent Agency for her tasks…outside the questline
-Expensive for who she is/what she does

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Premium toss-up.  She’s pretty “blah” in regards to typical character standards, but I know there are a bunch of you that will say “But it’s June Bellemy!” or “It’s a character/building combo!”…if you’re in that camp buy it.  But if you’re not…I’d pass.  When it comes to character/building combo standards, this isn’t really on part with other items.

Freemium:
Avoid this one.  Not worth the donuts for what she does, save those donuts for something better in our stores.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely be passing.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at her tasks…

June Bellamy’s Permanent Tasks:

She will also have tasks to Overpay for Sex on the Beach, Try to Win At Blackjack, Drink and Babysit and Dance the Senor Burns…provided you have the buildings associated with those tasks.

    what does UPA stand for?

  2. This would of been a great building/character combo if: June Bellamy was voiced using the lines when speaking as Itchy & Scratchy; she and/or someone else had a permanent task at the talent agency to animate it; June having a 12 or 24 hour visual task instead of the usual 4 & 8 hour visuals that every new character has; the UPA Talent Agency payed out the premium rate ($300, 30xp) for a 12 hour collection time; and if the building contributed to obedience, consumerism or righteousness since a building adding to the vanity rating is just lazy and should only stick to decorations. If EA considered some of these points then this would of been a decent purchase because it is always great to have another female character in the game and the building can fit into many different parts of a town such as the Springfield Heights (with Business Centres, Institute of Tech, etc.), media section (Krustylu, Channel 6, KBBL etc.), future Springfield (office buildings, global housing etc.).

Maybe EA should have Act 3’s premium bundles include a 12 or 24 hour outdoor/visual task and compare sales. This is YET ANOTHER 4-8 visual character that I will never see after the event and that’s pricey. It seems like they’ve mostly been that for the past year. I’m only buying out of the vault now because older characters seem to have at least one visual task longer than 8 hours.

    • That is an interesting take on how they should offer visual tasks. For me, because I am pretty much now trained to log in every 4 hours…almost all of my characters are on 4 or 8 hour tasks, with very few longer than that. I do have a few “favorites” that pretty much stay in longer modes…but not many.

  4. I like June, she reminds me of people that I know. 😉 Fun to date actor types.

I bought her & like the animation of the building, so I’m disappointed she only has tasks there during the questline. Due to design, I only use 1 brown house & it gets pretty crowded sometimes 😂😂😂

  6. No, Homer. Very few cartoons are broadcast live. It’s a terrible strain on the animator’s wrist.

  7. Before the constant threat of going over the items limit, I probably would have picked it up. Now, everything gets a lot more scrutiny before I’ll place it, and this set doesn’t pass the “is it worth deleting something else?” test. Not even close. 🤷‍♀️

  8. I picked this up because of the building. It fits nicely in with my Capitol City area.

  9. June Bellamy and the UPA Talent Agency 🤔

I could agree that this is rather lackluster for a Premium Character Building Combo that should be voiced, but since the Event Prizes for Act 2 are rather lackluster (someone please tell me what’s my motivation after back to back Bundles with NPC’S? Cause I needed to take 2 Days off from Tapping to recover from that epic fail from EA!) 🤷‍♂️

  10. She is Itchy & Scratchy voice and she is not… voiced ?

    Well done EA ! 😉

    • Amusing isn’t it?

      • Ironic and strange, ’cause Itchy and Scratchy are voiced in the game !

        • Yes but Itchy is voiced by Dan Castellaneta and Scratchy is voiced by Harry Shearer. Whereas June Bellamy is voiced by Tress MacNeille. Tress MacNeille isn’t considered one of the big 6 on the show (Yardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Harry Shearer, Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner). Only characters voiced by the big 6 are voiced in our games, everyone else is silent.
So not so much strange, just ironic…since Tress Macneille doesn’t actually voice Itchy and Scratchy.
