Itchy and Scratchy Land 101: Act 2 Crafting

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Ah the Crafting post….where I give you the how-to and break down each and every item available to craft, so you don’t miss a thing!

Love it or hate it, EA has proven over the last couple of years that crafting is here to stay.  While the prizes themselves are pretty self-explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”.  Crafting requires some self-direction.  You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly.  Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. And, as with all things, for some events crafting is easier than others.

Act 2 brought several new items to our towns for crafting, so let’s take a look…

So in this post I’m not going to get into the details of how to craft etc, I already covered that in the Act 1 post.  I’m also not going to talk about the items that were available to craft during Act 1 because, well, I talked about them in the Act 1 Crating Post.  So if you’d like information on either of those check out the Act 1 Crafting Post here.

My Recommendation on Crafting Currency…
Should you save or should you spend?  Max out your Amusement Bonus and reach level 9, then start hoarding your crafting currency for Act 3.  That way you can get a good start on the new craftables once Act 3 hits. And I saw reach Level 9 in this case, so you’ve got a good jump on the Act 3 craftables when they launch (plus that’s where you unlock the weirdos)

So again…don’t kill yourself trying to get all this stuff.  Sometimes less is more. Craft what you have a use for in Springfield….

Hope that helps some of you who have been stressing out over crafting!

And there you have it my friends…the details behind Act 2 of the Itchy and Scratchy Land event crafting!

  1. Crafting

I definitely appreciate EA changing the Craft ability so that you’re not stuck crafting something(s) you don’t want in order to level up your Crafting.

I do miss when we had better Craftables (ie Buildings that had permanent Character Tasks, as well as generated XP and $).

At least I am at Level 9 with over 10,000 in Crafting Currency.

  2. Hi!
The Parks and Decapitation questline Pt 1. can not be completed, my game is stuck at that point. All my characters who were assigned to the 8 hour long “Be Guinea Pigs” task and the Park Engineer’s “Run Human Trials” task are finished but all characters remain in the Itchy and Scratchy Land Gate. They are not visible, new task can not be assigned to them. The Itchy and Scratchy Land Gate is not working correctly it is freezing.
Has anybody experienced the same problem?

    • Store a building associated with a character stuck in the gate. Example, if you store Moe’s Tavern, Moe and Marge will be stored. Go to the friend’s screen and back or exit the game. Hopefully that will break the cycle.

  3. Is anyone else having problems where they “unlock” the next crafting item but the item doesn’t actually unlock? This has just happened to me again. When it’s happened before it’s resolved if I go out then back in, but didn’t work this time. It’s really annoying.

I estimate it will cost ~20,000 tickets to craft a Roller Coaster that is large enough to contain at least one of each item (i.e. 4 corners).

Wouldn’t it be nice if the Roller coaster could cross ove the water ride? What about a hanging gondola ride that crossed over?

Ah, well. Once I finish crafting Act 3 and obtain the final prize, I’ll concentrate on designing.

    Happy Summer everyone

  5. It’s a shame that we have to separate the race track and log ride. I like the animation but it’s not worth the lag of the game. I finally got fed up and separated the track and now my game is back to normal.

  6. 5k for the Rollercoaster weirdos is insane…but I want them….😫😒

  7. Not going to bother crafting the roller coaster wierdos, too similar to the Homerpalooza crowds that don’t do much for me.

  8. log ride all together and running piece left out so no lag

  9. Thank you Alissa for the information this blog is the best out there . I hope you had a great birthday mine is Saturday. June is a good month lol I loved it as a kid I got presents every 6 months thank you all for all the information even the ones that are not admins

  10. Is there a way to get my parade characters to stay in Itchy and Scratchy land? Also, I got the Itchy and Scratchy mascots in the surprise box and they wander around my Springfield (drunk, clearly). Is there a way to secure them to the park?

    • I tried to keep them in the park by putting fences and shrubs all around, but they just go through them. But it’s nice to see that someone else has the same idea about where they want them to stay

    • Tracy-1ltwoody920

Place the Parade unit inside I&S Land, then place a road inside I&S Land. The Parade (and Train) will find the road and stay on the road.

Shame it doesn’t stay on the Pathway.

    • A bit ironically, the parade seems to hate Krustyland roads, quickly moving to the nearest regular road and following it. Making a parade route out of regular asphalt roads and surrounding that with Krustyland roads keeps the parade characters in one place. It has to be really isolated though, because it’ll jump the Krustyland roads if there are two asphalt areas near each other.

  11. Thanks for the post Alissa 😊
