Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s event time in Springfield! With the launch of Itchy and Scratchy Land summer can officially begin for the residents of our pocket-sized towns! Of course, an all-new event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Roger Meyers Story to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this animatronic hot spot to your town…
Building/Decoration: Roger Meyers Story
Donut Cost: 55 Donuts
Earns: $200, 20xp/12hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Can Be Placed: grass|dirt|pavement|boardwalk|pier
Leaves stores July 1st
-Comes with a 3 part questline
-Animated when in use, lights on you’ll see flashing animation in upper window
-Well priced for a stand-alone building
-After questline, there are no tasks there (no way to get the animation to work)
-Expected to go in I&S land, but doesn’t offer an Amusement Bonus
Premium or Freemium:
This one isn’t a bad buy. If you like it grab it. Outside of the lack of task after the questline, it’s a decent pickup for the appearance and price no matter what type of player you are.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I may be passing. Trying to make a decision on location before it leaves stores. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).
Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…
Return of the Animatronics Pt. 1
Lisa: Hey Bart, you want to check out the Roger Meyers Story? It’s filled with animatronics that bring your favorite historical figures to halting, poorly-articulated life!
Lisa: Shutting up now, before I convince MYSELF it’s lame, too.
Make Lisa Visit the Roger Meyers Story- 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp
Return of the Animatronics Pt. 2
Animatronic Roger Meyers: It was the year 1944, and the Nazis were in full retreat. I reckoned my cartoons alone could save the noble Third Reich.
Animatronic Roger Meyers: What? What did I say, Lisa?
Lisa: Animatronic Roger Meyers! Are you talking to me?
Animatronic Roger Meyers: Why, yes! It would seem I’ve become self-aware. Bye!
Lisa: Wait, where are you going?
Animatronic Roger Meyers: Why, to repair my Itchy and Scratchy bots! This time I’ll make them flash-proof, and we’ll have those pesky humans wiped out in a jiff. Though now I think of it, I can’t let you live, knowing my secret!
Lisa: Running away!
Make Lisa Go to Bart for Help- 4hrs, Earns $520, 140xp
Lisa: Animatronic Roger Meyers is trying to kill me!
Bart: *chanting* NO-BODY LIKES YOU! E-VEN THE RO-BOTS!
Lisa: Yes, yes. Can we go save the world now, please?
Bart: Since you asked nicely.
Return of the Animatronics Pt. 3
Animatronic Roger Meyers: There you are, Lisa! Time to die!
Lisa: Bart! Put down your phone and focus on the robot trying to kill us.
Bart: Hold on. I’m uploading an app to run on his software. It’s one of those brainless freemium mobile games.
Animatronic Roger Meyers: No! Those games are murder on battery life!
Make Bart and Lisa Defeat Animatronic Roger Meyers- 4hrs, Earns $520, 140xp
Animatronic Roger Meyers: Power at five percent… one percent… gahhhhh…
Lisa: Wow, that actually worked.
Bart: I knew SOMETHING good would come of these games one day.
