Itchy and Scratchy Land 101: Act 3 Crafting

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Ah the Crafting post….where I give you the how-to and break down each and every item available to craft, so you don’t miss a thing!

Love it or hate it, EA has proven over the last couple of years that crafting is here to stay.  While the prizes themselves are pretty self-explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”.  Crafting requires some self-direction.  You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly.  Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. And, as with all things, for some events crafting is easier than others.

Act 3 brought several new items to our towns for crafting, so let’s take a look…

So in this post I’m not going to get into the details of how to craft etc, I already covered that in the Act 1 post.  I’m also not going to talk about the items that were available to craft during Act 1 because, well, I talked about them in the Act 1 Crating Post.  So if you’d like information on either of those check out the Act 1 Crafting Post here.  You can also find the info on the Act 2 Craftables here.

My Recommendation on Crafting Currency…
At this point you should spend it all on what you need to get!  Remember, if you don’t need/want something it’s ok to end the event with left over crafting currency.  Better to get what you want/need then get what you don’t.

And yes, it looks like they upped the requirement to reach Level 10.  HOWEVER…this helps you out if you’re using that as a quick method to find tappables.  Once you max out levels you can no longer use the quick method…

So again…don’t kill yourself trying to get all this stuff.  Sometimes less is more. Craft what you have a use for in Springfield….

Hope that helps some of you who have been stressing out over crafting!

And there you have it my friends…the details behind Act 3 of the Itchy and Scratchy Land event crafting!

  1. After the event is over will be still be able to make track, log and roller coaster pieces like on the monorail?

  2. I thought Crafting new Rides for Itchy and Scratchy Land was going to be so much fun …. only to discover they’re not scaled to Krustyland Rides (Crafting too many pieces to reach maximum Bonus % takes up too much Land), and having to turn off animations (due to Game lag / freeze) means I can’t send Characters to ride them (Boo! Hiss! EA – you really threw a 🔧 in this when an update to fix it would be appreciated!)

  3. What about bonuts? Will there be some at the end of act 3 and if so did I miss a questline to get them? I’ve gotten Corporal Punishment and am putting him through his quest and wondered if bonuts will start after he’s finished.

  4. Once i built the rides i was gonna just buy a bunch of nurse stations to make money and maybe a crowd or two. Now i am not sure. I think i want to make enough car race tracks to go all the way around my park and encompass all the rides in it’s center, and maybe even have it race the monorail. Or, make the log ride go all around the park and encompass all the rides within that coaster. But I can’t make up my mind. The wood coaster is out. Too expensive to get enough tracks to use that one. Decisions, decisions. Turns out i am liking this event. Having to make an all new park has made me work on my plopper areas and turn them into organized and decorated areas.

When i first started this game i just organized everything by 4hr, 8hr, 12hr, etc, tax turnover so they were all grouped together that way, with buildings that had tasks put up front, by my one street that was organized around maggie’s game buildings. No need for friends to go searching streets for people to tap, they are all always on the one street. All my characters pour onto the one street too, so i always know where everyone is. Actually, i have one other street block in springfield heights where the recycling is organized. They sometimes go on that street. Now i am kinda breaking up the super efficiency design and making more of a town design. Gonna stick with just two streets though. Not a fan of scrolling around. But what to do about the park, have the race track circle it? Or the mine ride?

    • I like your suggestion of one street. I do have my Maggie buildings close together but with the lag and sometimes not having my swipe recognized I do run out of time to find Maggie….

      • If you see you are running out of time to fing Maggie, exit the game before the timer runs out and return. It will delay find Maggie by about 2 minutes then resume so you can try again. That way you won’t need to wait another 16 hours to play. I made note of all the buildings she is found on and grouped them together to help find her faster also.

  5. No mention of the Roller Coaster Weirdos in this post or the Act 3 run down post. They are expensive to craft, but I like them, I wish I could get a lot more than I’m going to be able to get.

  6. So this might not be the place for it but the last three days I’ve had to download what I assume is the entire game (1400+gb?) and apart from all the data it’s using, it also takes about half an hour. Does anyone know why this is happening or have any sugggedtions as to how to stop it? The last time it happened I hard closed and opened again but it didn’t help.
    Thanks!

  7. If you have everything you need/want already, then I would suggest stocking up on curved pieces for the three I & S rides.

  8. I miss my neighborrinos 😞😢😞

  9. I was very hopeful the Simpsons game lag would be improved by EA. The fix is only hoped for and the lag is even slower during peak user demand…
EA really needs to improve the transaction processing. Maybe EA can inactivate animations which not in the user’s present screen view? It is tough to even scroll through Springfield. Finding Maggie has become very time sensitive without the finger scroll working as it should! I now put my character tasks as long as possible for it just takes too long to tap through them.
The number of buildings and the number of characters and animations remain too CPU intensive for the EA computers to process with any speed.
I love this game but am not enjoying the delays in processing. The mini game clocks are even processing slower.
The game is FRUSTRATING and less fun!

There is something a bit freaky going on. This latest update (did they put out the 4th July content after the act 3 update?) now means I can’t reliably get into the game. It crashes while trying to load. Usually it takes 2 or 3 attempts, but this evening I’ve tried at least 7 times and still can’t get access. I’m not going to be able to finish the event at this rate. Anyone else having this issue? I didn’t change anything in my game, didn’t get any of the 4th July content, just having grief now. Hope they sort out bugs or resource usage soon.

    • Patric has spoken of the amount of Springfield buildings. Having to move my Krustyland items to Springfield must have exceeded the threshold and caused lag. I emailed EA (and again). EA suggested and I have just completed storage of monorail tracks, hieroglyph walls and pier fences. As I was removing the last of the fences the response time improved for there are less “frames dropped”. It should be better still so I will contact EA…

      • EA advised me EA is aware of the response time issues and is developing an update to correct. Until then, my swiping has improved after I shifted a track piece from my Injury 500 and Log ride and Zoominator tracks!
I am again enjoying my Tapped Out game for the lag is nearly gone!

  10. I’m on level 10 for crafting. What’s a good way to find tappables?

    • There is no good way. Just wait for them to come to I&S land or search for them. If your Daily Challenge is to tap 30 you can use that “go to” button to find them, but beyond that nothing helps.

  11. Keith1Roon991

20,000 to go for the final prize and am done for this event, no lagging behind for me EA, get the fLAGs out and have a few LAGers and some LAGtime.

  12. Bit of a pain to find all the tappables after you reach level 10 😕

    • Very much so

    • I agree but I am still on level 9 so I can feel the pain of finding the tappables even with more than enough crafting currency to level up. I guess all we can do is just wait until they all appear in the park, get the challenges to clear them, and unlock Corporal Punishment then start working on the bonuts. It would of been easier to find them if the questline ended after unlocking the middle prize like the last few events did.

  13. Alissa, I know you are working hard. But:
What Does it Do: Track piece for Log Ride

    • You are able to expand the size of your log ride. Simple as that. You aren’t limited by the size…same goes for the Zoominator.

  14. Finally saved up enough crafting material to unlock level 10 late last night. Now I’m looking to generate another 7K for one Zoominator Loop & Plunge each before the end of the event next Wednesday (should be okay with earning roughly ~1K crafting currency/day). The lag seems to have improved slightly since the beginning of Act 3 (most likely due to the inclusion of the Zoominator) but I think I’ll be satisfied with my layouts once this event concludes.

  15. MannyCa1avera

I’ve already crafted a Zoomimator Plunge and a Loop. That’s all I really care about. *Maybe* if I accrue the full 5000 more for the roller coaster weirdos I’ll craft them, but otherwise I couldn’t care less about it.

  16. ashley rainville

14,000 to open the piece of track i need…unfreakingbeliveble….how am i supposed to get that much and still make the piece i need to complete the quest line…smmfh

    • DDfromAtlanta

I TOTALLY agree.. I’m so not motivated to finish this event out… 🙁

    • Well…yes…this is Grind-Tastic. But you have more than week to do it…so, chillax.

    • At least we have the option of crafting crowds, which are 5000 a pop and take up a lot less space than track pieces. Why, lately, is everything EA creates so freaking big?
