Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well, the new mini-event teased yesterday has launched in Springfield. It’s now Poochie’s chance to shine!
If you haven’t already done so, be sure to download the newest update from your App Store….
Itchy & Scratchy kick things off with some dialogue about going on strike! This will be followed by a 6s task for Krusty and 5 Springfielders. Once you’ve completed that task you’ll launch the Poochie’s Dog Dayz mini-event! Let’s take a look….
This is set up like your standard mini-event. Follow the special questline (in this case it’s called Poorly Working Title) to unlock a series of prizes. Plus, there’s a bunch of new premium content in stores.
This mini-event will run for 2 weeks, ending on July 25th (which is when I suspect we’ll see the next major event. As that sets us up for a good 6-week cycle + a mini event and then Halloween). Remember, mini-events are pretty easy to complete. You shouldn’t need the full 2 weeks to complete it. So consider the next two weeks your downtime, with a little something to do in the game.
So first up, let’s talk about the free prizes with this one…

Disapproving Squirrel- 65 Donuts. Full Character and has a hilarious task with Marge…
All 3 characters will have a task to earn scripts (event currency)…
The Reality Channel- 55 Donuts. Earns event currency/4hrs
Fireworks Factory- 45 Donuts. Earns $200, 22xp/8hrs

Believe it or not whilst her design is inconsistent and her role is small, she’s shown up in more cartoons then anyone other then the titlular Cat and Mouse. They chose the best design for her too.
I like too imagine she and Ms. Mouse are good friends despite their significant other’s disturbing jobs.
Had 7 rollbacks in three days now, where do I contact EA, delete the game soon.
My game started freezing for about 20sec whenever I try to take every single item from my storage. With tens of items for any redecoration that’s a lot of freezing. I reinstalled with no positive effect. Does anyone else have this problem?
I am having the same problem.
This seems to be a new source of lagging in the game (sigh).
Have you tried storing the Itchy & Scratchy Land Gate and the rides (Injury 500, Log-Ride, & Zoominator)? That’s helped a few others decrease the lag. Best of luck. 🙂
I turned the animations for all the Itchy and Scratchy rides off, and my game went back to lag-free. Thanks EA!
Interesting change from the original ‘Screwball Squirrel’ name to ‘Disappointing Squirrel’. Lolol

Some interesting Premiums, although I have to say “please gift a Land Token with each new Building / Character Building Combo” (I wasn’t spending 300 for Scratchy, but I spent 65 for Disapproving Squirrel) 😅
This looks like a stress free Mini Event (just what I need after that 6 week Grind) and – hey – Poochie + Disapproving Squirrel (thanks EA!) 👍
I enjoy the mini events much more, including this one. Got all the premium stuff except for the Fireworks Factory. Now only have 2 donuts, lol. 2-3 mini events to 1 major event would be ideal IMO.
I already have Poochie roaming around my town as a NPC. Can’t remember how I got him.. anybody? Do we now a second playable one?
One is a mascot… we have several doubles like that.
Anyone else experiencing a glitch? I’ve got a lot of the town at the Simpsons house. I can’t get past their tasks.
I get all their income and event currency repeatedly but they never appear. Restart the game and it is the same as all the tasks are completed, collect money and event currency and still no one appears…

Try storing the house (the character is stored with it) of at least one of the guys inside the Simpsons’ home, that has worked before.
Unfortunately, you cannot store the Simpson’s house…
I mean store the house of someone currently inside, not the Simpsons House. For example, if Moe is one of the people stuck in the Simpsons House, store Moe’s Tavern.
Try storing a building that is attached to one of the captives…then bring it back out and re-task him at the simpson house. This happened on another event, and it was the only way to break the loop.
Same thing happening to me. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie are stuck in the Simpson’s house …….
Blew all of my freebee (I’m freemium, since day 1, just about) donuts on K-land boxes. 65/not too bad. Gonna blow through this mini as if it’s a main event. Looking forward to at LEAST a week to just chill and set up my own little I&S + K- land area. It’s a blooming mess, right now!!
I am liking this 4 hour whole town writing task. Collecting for all tasks with one tap… yup, liking that.
I know a lot of people don’t like the ‘whole town’ tasks…but I enjoy them. Love seeing a couple of hundred thumbs above a building!
Unless it’s a no brainer buy like number 51 and bumblebee man for 10 donuts each, Ive generally avoided buying premium characters in order to focus on getting my donut count up and my bonus % up (nearly 300% now, and level 939 finally)
But there is a squirrel that is a full character and at an affordable price. I simply have to get it.
