Out with the old and in with the new! Itchy and Scratchy Land exited stage left and the Poochie mini-event arrived stage right! Because 6 weeks of Itchy and Scratchy wasn’t enough. Of course, an all-new mini-event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Roy and the Reality Channel Van to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Reality duo to your town…
Character: Roy
Building/Decoration: Reality Channel Van
Donut Cost: 150 Donuts
Earns: Van earns a 4% bonus on cash and XP
Size: 3×5
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt

Pros
-Will help earn event currency for the Poochie Mini Event (premium rate)
-Comes with his own questline
-Voiced
-Van is animated when tapped
-Van earns a good bonus %
Cons
-Outside/visual tasks are kinda meh
-Pricey for who he is/what he does
Final Thought
Premium:
This is your fairly typical premium character/decoration combo. Priced in line with some of the others (although I feel he’s overpriced), van earns a decent bonus % and he’s voiced. So if you like him and want him, go for it.
Freemium:
Meh, I’d pass. I’d save your donuts for something else he’s a hit lackluster.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely pick him up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

It’s a fun Character / Item Combo, but I think this is a 100 Sprinkles value vs 150 (and yeah I spend real $ on worthy Premiums throughout the year vs just Kem Farming). 👍
I loved that episode and I thought his less than subtle addition was hilarious. Love the new characters they’ve been adding.

No hesitation for me. The Roy gag is a favorite of mine. So just like Guy Incognito, I snatched him up quick, despite being a one-off joke.
I agree! I had to snap him up before he moved away and in with “two sexy ladies.” 😁 For him and June Bellamy, I didn’t even think twice. Love the Poochie ep.
I’ve done some donut farming recently so I decided to buy all the poochie stuff just so I could do less tapping. That last event was a lot.

Poochie is a free character in the mini event. No need for donuts.
Characters are always a good investment…they earn more than buildings, have fun tasks to watch, make your town more interesting, and require no real estate (harder and harder to come by). Pair that with a small footprint 4% bonus item, and this is a no brainer 😁.

in my opinion, 150 doughnuts for a character and building or decoration (with % bonus) is the standard these days, and I would not call it over priced.
Overpriced when it’s this type of character. Crappy characters should cost less lol

I consider ALL characters to be good characters. The more characters the better. A town needs to have people in it. 😉
Not if said people have crummy tasks…and add no value to Springfield society. lol You add characters simply because they’re characters and they’re there. I add characters that I think make sense and add value, and have good tasks. That’s what i write my post analysis on. Otherwise every post would say “buy this because it’s a character”
I think we’re saying the same thing coming at it from two different angles. I wasn’t trying to start an argument.
I’m going to take the high road. I like ALL of the characters in the game and on the show. Everyone has value in fiction and in real life.

I bought him. Probably wouldn’t have but the 4 % bonus pushed it over the top for me. That being said, I did not and likely will not also spring for Mrs. Scratchy

Maybe if I repeat it enough someone at EA will listen: no visual 12 or 24 hour task and I won’t buy it. They could at least mix it up. There hasn’t been a new character with a 12 or 24 hour task is quite a while. How about at least one for every event?
At what point does that stop being a coincidence?
I guess the thinking is…most players use the 8 hr tasks during the day and 4 hr tasks are neeeded for events (which is pretty much all the time now). Personally I use mostly 24 hr tasks these days and visual tasks are pretty few and far between. So…I put my favorite characters in tasks that I like, and then ignore the fact that they’ve completed them until the rest of the town is done. Works for me 😁.
Yeah I really pay no attention to what people earn or how long their task is it if the skin is premium. I just send them on the jobs I like
I purchased him. I’m a KEM farmer, so I buy all characters. No regrets from me, but so far only been using him on the mini event task. the 4% bonus for his van is good though.
I was on the fence, but I ended up getting him and Mrs. Scratchy 😊
