Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well, it appears that we have some downtime in TSTO right now. A little teaser hit our games yesterday…with very limited content…giving us all LOADS of time to twiddle our thumbs waiting for the next event to hit. So with about a week’s worth of total downtime, something we rarely get in TSTO these days, we thought we’d have a little fun.
In case you didn’t know, our official Blogiversary is August 14th. At that point, we will have been blogging for FIVE years! Insanity right? If you told me 5 years ago I’d still be doing this today, I’d tell you that you were a nutcase. Turns out…I’m the nutcase. Anyway, with five years of blogging and nearly 5,400 posts (over 3,000 of which I wrote…yikes!) we thought we’d take this downtime to have a little look back at some of best of TSTO Addicts.
So over the next week, we’re going to go through the archives and pull out some of the “Best Of” posts from each of us. It’s kind of neat that the downtime, kinda sorta, corresponds with our Blogiversary and we’re able to take this trip down memory lane. Usually, we’re knee-deep in event coverage when our anniversary rolls around…with no time to break for a look back like this.
We’ll kick things off with a post from WAYYYY back in 2013 from the Wookster a little later this morning. You’ll get to see how our writing styles have evolved and you’ll see how the more things change, the more they stay the same. So enjoy the trip down memory lane….I know I had fun going through the archives!

My how time flies when Tapping away daily (well, not as daily as I used to) ….and honestly, 5 years is a long time for a blog (an a Game App) to exist! Even Bongo Comics (publisher of The Simpson’s and SpongeBob Squarepants comic books) is coming to an end this October (yikes!) 😱
I’d like to say, good Events or bad Events, TSTO continues to be fun; and yes this Blog has helped me numerous times over the years (well, definitely more then EA has at times – lol 😅). Happy Saturday everyone …. ’tis time to go out dining (and playing that Simpson’s Slot Machine) …. be thankful we have a place to express our admiration (or criticism). 👍
It’s hard to believe that this blog is turning 5 next month. I remember first coming to this site during the Easter 2014 event looking for a way on getting everything in the Easter boxes, now I am happy I got most of the items in the boxes. I also remember commenting the first time 2 years later during the Casino event and stopped lurking in the shadows of the blog since I felt comfortable to comment more often on something to do with the game or outside of it. If I never would have found this site back then I would’ve quit the game a long time ago because with all the help, info, tips and tricks you provide us makes the game more enjoyable and fun to play on a daily basis multiple times a day. So thank you TSTOAddicts for running this wonderful site and bringing in a community of other tappers from all around the world together to talk about the game and other things besides the game while also keeping us all together and sane during the good, the bad and the ugly times of an update. Thank you again for this impressive site. Happy birthday TSTOAddicts. Here’s to another 5 years. 🤣🎂🎉🥂🍻🎉
It’s really kind of cool how conveniently the timing of the downtime worked out for you guys. 5 years is an anniversary worthy if some fun reflection and other than the poll and an maybe an addicts live special (there was one last year if I recall but with the new little one on the way I’d totally understand if there wasn’t this year) you probably wouldn’t have gotten the chance.
There will be one. Just trying to get all of the parties together. Like herding cats.

I’ll bet 5 years ago you did not get pestered with all the ads like now. I know you have to have them but frankly it’s becoming ridiculous .
If youre seeing popups it’s not coming from us.

And 5 years ago players gave us the benefit of the doubt with ads. They didnt instantly accuse us for them…
I can’t believe how often I see one of you post that link. It’s like the people that comment to complain about the site don’t read anything if it doesn’t directly relate to them in that given moment and then just attack you when something isn’t going right. It actually upsets me, because everyone can see you guys do so, so much for us. <3 I have yet to have a pop up issue but then I mostly only browse the site from my old BlackBerry Classic. Until it breaks there's no money for a new phone, so I'll just toddle along. lol

Sometimes we write posts just so we can link them in comments to stop answering the same questions over and over again lol
Can’t say I blame you for that. Posting a link is much more efficient than continually repeating yourselves. Personally I got in the habit of long ago scanning comments on a few recent posts to see if anyone else shared my issue before freaking out, and I always read posts on glitches, etc, so I know what’s up if I do get it. As a former admin/moderator myself, granted of a very different format, I know you’re here to educate and maintain order, not to babysit.
Please read my other post, I was not attacking anyone & over the 2 years since joining addicts have constantly praised Lisa & the team for their efforts.
I was not having a pop at you guys, as I said I know you have to have them but personally I now have ads almost after every couple posts & I keep getting thrown out the App.
I am only mentioned this because I enjoy the addicts & appreciate the hard work you guys do but the experience for me has been diminished because of the volume of ads.
The addicts app? We don’t support that and haven’t for a few years. So those ads I literally have no control over.

I have to agree with The Dog. I feel like people ask an innocent question and then the reply is snippy. If you don’t want to answer politely then don’t answer at all.

Hey just recently I have gotten the bug that forces you to download a 800 mb update every other day. Now this is bad on its own but the fact is every 5ish seconds the game closes saying that the servers are down and I have to press retry. I know I saw someone with this bug earlier this year and was wondering if they ever fixed it or just quit the game because that’s what I might do! I’ll copy and paste on the adiccts weekly just to get the word out there.
It’s not a bug. You likely ran out space on your device. Free up space, so you have at least 5gb free. It’ll download one more time but then it won’t do it again.
