Should I Spend Donuts On Allison Taylor & Taylor House?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Lions and Tigers and Emus…oh my!  The Springfield Zoo (aka Moe’s Ark) event is in full swing in our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Allison Taylor and the Taylor House to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Canon Throwback combo to your town…

Cons
-Not Voiced

Final Thought
Premium:
Pick this one up.  150 donuts is the standard rate for combos these days (no matter how much I complain about it) and she’s canon in Springfield.  Good pickup.

Freemium:
Unless you’re super short on donuts, pick her up. Good character, and although she’s not voiced, she’s still a good addition to Springfield.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll be picking her up.  One of the few items from this event I’ll be getting.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, since this is an item that helps with the event, it’s better to pick this up sooner rather than later if you plan to grab it.  This way you maximize the event currency earning throughout the entire event.

Here’s a look at her tasks…

Allison’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Play with Diorama 1hr $105, 26xp* Outside/Visual
Master Playing the Saxophone 4hrs $260, 70xp* Outside/Visual
Play Brain Teasers 8hrs $420, 105xp* Taylor House
Go to School 12hrs $600, 150xp Springfield Elementary
Study After School 24hrs $1000, 225xp Springfield Elementary

*Her 1hr, 4hr, and 8hr tasks will earn event currency for the duration of the event.  Once the event is over they’ll revert to cash/XP.

What are your thoughts on Allison Taylor and the Taylor House?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I was so happy to see her! Instant buy for me! I love her character! Still waiting for EA to send me the 300 donuts I bought as I am very tempted by some of the upcoming characters.

  2. My general rule has been to never pay full price for a character since they often come back on rebates (or the blasted mystery boxes…), but Allison might be worth it, especially with the Gil deal making donuts worth buying.

  3. Might have missed it but does she earn at a premium rate?

Also, donuts (for me, Australian Dollar) are usually $20 and the gill deal only reduces them to $15… Thought the Gill deal was 50% off e.g they would be down to $10 for me?

  4. Incredibly dull character with boring visual tasks. Not worth the donuts.

Like most KEM Farmers this was an instant purchase. Only criticism from me is the house looks just slightly small where I placed it. Shame it wasn’t 1 or 2 squares wider across the front.

  6. My only hesitation was Sarah Wiggum coming up, but I got her. Hopefully I can farm enough where I don’t have to purchase a lot of donuts.

  7. Allison Taylor and the Taylor House

Well, she may not be a Zoo Employee / Staff in a khaki uniform, but Allison Taylor is another Character that’s been requested (thanks for listening, EA) and she earns Event Currency (yes!) with fun visual Tasks (yes!) 👍

  8. I got it more for the house than the character because I am trying to upgrade my Evergreen Terrace. Once again EA’s scale is way out of whack. The house is tiny by comparison to other residences when it should be larger, I’m going to have to design to make it seem far away.. Foiled again by you EA!

  9. I totally picked her up the moment I found a place for her house. Plus she is the closest thing to a friend to Lisa that I can remember.

  10. oktober10aussie

Instant purchase for me too. Happy to be getting new kids with the event.

I have about 70 donuts left. Hopefully I can get that number up with railway/Maggie before Sarah hits.Definitely have to buy some.

    • Maybe obvious, but don’t forget about the Day Old Donuts Gil deal – 50% discount if you spend real $$$…

  11. Insta buy when I got home from Camp this afternoon.

  12. Instant buy, but I still hate the

  13. TrickyMario7654

Insta buy for me, because I love Allison.

  14. Instant buy this morning when I logged into my game.

  15. I always hesitate because, correct me if I am wrong, I feel most of these characters end up coming back in Mystery Boxes.

  16. Any character from the show’s golden age is a buy, to me. My goal is to have a Springfield that is very much first-five-seasons, eventually store all characters that do not fit what I have in mind, and call my town complete.

    • Interesting, so what characters would you like to appear in the game? How about buildings, will you stick to the five seasons as well?

      • Any character/building should remind a visitor to my town of the old episodes, and conversely no character/building should make them think of a later episode. Generic buildings to fill up some space are OK. Though I do not feel like I need to fill up all land tiles. My impression from early episodes was that Springfield was a small town. I’m pretty far away from being able to do this. I’ve been playing about a year and a half. I am still building in game cash, buying land, saving donuts, etc. I still have several characters from the store that I do not have, including Jimbo and Frink.

    • I like ur plan! Lol….good luck!

  17. 64th straight Character/Costume since the last 24-hour Job (Buddha). Yes, I will be harping on this.

  18. Hm. Still on the fence about her, actually.

  19. Pyanfar the Hani

EA goes even shorter on the visual tasks. Wow. I’ll never see her – not exaggerating, I will never see her visual tasks after the quest. So 150 pink sprinklies for a house is too expensive for me.

  20. ….She’s clean as a bean.

  21. Insta Buy. Didn’t even come here first for your SiB… which I typically always do – in large part because I didn’t expect there to be one today. So I didn’t even know about the event currency at the time. I just wanted her in my town that much. Classic/iconic character and a girl to boot? I didn’t even need to think about it.

  22. AndThereGoesSwifty

Instant buy since this provides another variation of a house for my Springfield. Any chance I get to pick up a different looking house I go for it

  23. Ka-ching #351 set complete 😘

    • I have the character count at 352, but that includes the ones that come with donut purchases. I had most of them (except for the more expensive ones you had to purchase), but lost 3 or 4 due to the rollback glitch. Think it’s going to be a long time before they offer those characters again…if ever.

      • I have them all including the real cash buys… was sure it’s 351. Will recount to be sure. 🤔

        • Nice! If they ever release the characters from the April/May(?) event that I lost from the rollback bug, I’d consider buying the characters tied to donut purchases. Was really trying to get all of them.

I keep a list as a reminder…wish there was a way to compare our counts.

      • I think you are right it’s 352. Not sure who I missed off my list first time… 🤔

  24. Wow! Didn’t expect the SIB to be out already 😊 instant buy for me 😊

  25. Matthew Szekeresh

Tempting but since her visual tasks are all on the short side, I will abstain. Hopefully she comes back in a mystery box.

  26. Got her instantly. Reasonably priced (compared to Scratchy’s 300 donuts from the previous mega-event) and helps with the zoo volunteering since I’m a bit behind. Am I correct to say that Allison was as highly requested as Sarah Wiggum? To me, she was.

Since Sarah is coming later in this event, whose left among classic-era (1st 11 seasons) Simpsons characters that have yet to appear on Tapped Out? The only characters I could think of at this moment are Just Stamp the Ticket Guy, Mrs. Glick, Lewis & Richard (Bart’s friends), or any of the late Phil Hartman characters (Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz), but I don’t ever see the Hartman characters showing up in the game anytime soon since they are retired after Hartman’s tragic death. I know there are many other, more obscure characters out there from this show’s long history.

    • J. Loren Pryor, Nelson’s henchmen, any of the characters voiced by Jon Lovitz, Charlie, there’s more that I don’t have time to type out.

    • I’ve been hoping for Richard and Lewis. When TSTO were looking for event ideas i put them in a battle of Springfield event, with general bart.
