Should I Spend Donuts on the Returning Grant Conner and the Hunting Supplies Store or Cobblestone Roads?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Lions and Tigers and Emus!  Oh my!  It’s the zoo event in Springfield and of course a new event means all new content, and of course loads of returning content! Lots of items to drop those sprinkles on…

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Returning Grant Conner and the Hunting Supplies Store or Cobblestone Roads?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

Leaves stores September 12th

Item: Grant Conner & the Springfield Hunting Supplies Store
Cost: 135 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
Earns: $200,22xp/8hrs
What Does It Do:
 Standard building/character combo
My Opinion On It Now:
Not a bad buy, considering most Character/Building combos are 150 donuts or more these days.  If you’re in the market for a new combo pick it up.

Leaves stores September 12th

Item: Cobblestone Road
Cost: 40 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do: Gives you another road option for Springfield.  (you’re not buying 1 tile, you’re buying the ability to place as many cobblestone roads as you’d like.  They’ll appear with your road/water/dirt etc tiles)
My Opinion On It Now:
I bought it then, and I’d buy it now.  I like the option of having another road in Springfield (and I use it plenty).  Well worth the 40 donut investment.

What are your thoughts on the returning items?  Will you be spending donuts to bring any of these throwbacks to your Springfield?  Why or why not?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Grant Conner and the Hunting Supplies Store

Building isn’t HUGE (I think EA scaled this precise)
    Character has fun Tasks
I didn’t see a mention of if Character / Building helps earn Event Currency (but if the 135 Sprinkles is accurate? that’s a bargain below the typical 150 Donuts!) 👍

    Cobblestone Road

Introduced at Halloween (has it been 3 years?), I actually ♥️ using these (40 Donuts is a deal, since these are neverending) 👍

  2. Cobble stones! Finally picked this up. But Connor is still a pass for me…waiting for a mystery box deal, if there ever is one. I prefer to find the sales 😉 With the exception of event currency earners: those I buy immediately if I can so I can log in less often. I’m just no longer interested in the every 4hr grind. I think I was done act 1 yesterday or the day before or something.

This also makes me in the camp of preferring more characters with visual 24hr tasks.

  3. Allison just released! Disappointed Sarah still hasn’t released!! Do you know if Sarah will be released in Act 1 or 2?

  4. When did we get the cobblestone roads? I can’t remember which event 🤔

Nice to see them returning for newer players. I have a whole Halloween area dedicated to using these roads. 😊

  5. I think that I’m finally going to break down and get the cobblestone roads. It would look better in my zoo than the dirt I have there now.

    • I love them, but would sure like to have bridges that were compatible with all the rustic areas. Lots of water in my town, so bridges are plentiful, but the cement and electric bridge lamps don’t really go with everything.

      • I’ve changed my mind on the cobblestone roads. My zoo starts with a double wide dirt path that goes well with the entrance. The road didn’t fit, so I’ll put it off again. I should probably just get them and redo my Little England area one of these days.

        • I’ve used the white Krustyland roads in my zoo, they also work pretty well and keep the scenery “light”.😁

  6. I finally bought the cobblestone roads because I wanted them for my zoo

  7. Grant connor’s quest is hilarious, grab him if you can. I also bought the cobblestone some time ago, not a bad buy.
