As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Returning Old Faithless or Bear Cave to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

My Opinion On It Now: Pretty standard bonus % for donuts spent. If you like it and want it grab it, otherwise pass.

Cost: 40 Donuts 100 Donuts (original pre-event info from EA said this would be 40 donuts, however, you guys are reporting it’s 100 donuts. So I’ve made that adjustment here)

What Does It Do: Not a whole not, basically NPC in a cave. Animated when tapped.
My Opinion On It Now: It’s a hard pass.

Old Faithless – 40 sprinkles seems reasonable for an Interactive Decoration (even though it’s not something I’d put in the Zoo Zone) with Bonus %.
Bear Cave – not 40, nor 100 sprinkles, is worth obtaining an NPC (that’s just my opinion, since I find NPCs a waste of time / memory on this Game App).
I am finding certain Premiums more rewarding then Event Prizes (those playing over the years may find themselves Kem Farming for goodies vs grinding for what isn’t worth it). Events have gotten easier, as I put minimal effort and still obtain everything.

40 donuts yes, 100 Donuts NO
Sorry this is unrelated, but I kept getting the spinning donut on both wifi and data, so I decided to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. When I did that, it took forever and the game was really zoomed in with no way of zooming out and I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to fix this. I use a Galaxy S8, by the way. Any help to fix this would be much appreciated.
I’m having the same problem with my Samsung- I’m using my phone and old tablet to play this event until ea sort a patch :-/
Is there a choice for “resolution” in your settings?
Settings for the game or for the phone itself?
On your device…the iPad has a place in settings/display to choose how you want your display to show up…it asks “standard” or “zoom” , and depending on your choice, more of the town or less of the town (zoomed in) will show. Your device may have switched to zoom if that option is also available on Android.
On ios, there is also a place in settings to pull up each individual app and see how it is set up…if that is also true on your device, you can check the game settings there as well. Hope this helps.😁
No fixing of the zoom in. Myself I have the same problem. Sometimes after the update I have a zoom out for a short period of time. Then one day i login and puff! my zoom out option is gone. Galaxy s7 here

Do you know, if you already have the bear cave are we not offered Old Faithless? I would pick it up but it isn’t offered in my game.
I had the bear cave…and was offered Old Faithless. So, not sure what happened in your game.

Like others have and probably will say, buy Old Faithless, don’t buy the Bear Cave. At least with Old Faithless it has a decent animation and bonus % whereas the Bear Cave has a lame animation, bad bonus % to donut ratio and one of the purchases I regret buying when it first was released, if it did actually cost 40 donuts then it would of been worth considering but at 100 is a definite no from me.
If I remember right from a earlier post, Sara will be available tomorrow Friday the 17th. Is that right?

Too bad about the price of the bear cave. I love bears and would like to have one in my zoo, enough that I would have done it for 40 donuts, but 100? Nope.

Old Faithless is one of my favorite decorations (and has a nice little bonus as well). It’s paired with one of the most disappointing, tho…the bear cave. For 100 donuts? They must be joking…even If the bear had a decent animation (which he doesn’t), and a noticeable bonus (which he also doesn’t) it would barely be worth 40 donuts.

I’ll make a note on the price. I was going off the sheet EA sent us prior to the event for pricing. As we’ve said previously, sometimes they change their minds and reprice stuff. Which is why I like to generally verify in-game, unfortunately with this one I didn’t have a chance to.
