Lions and Tigers and Emus…oh my! The Springfield Zoo (aka Moe’s Ark) event is in full swing in our pocket-sized towns! Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Joan Bushwell & the Chimp Refuge to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this diamond in the rough to your town…

Final Thought
Premium:
Another overpriced one-off character for Springfield. However, the price point falls in line with the new standard pricing for character/building combos. She will help earn event currency, but that’s about it. This is one of those toss-up characters for me. If you like the character pick it up, if not pass. There’s nothing screaming “BUY THIS!” to me…
Freemium:
I’d pass as a freemium player. There are better characters coming down the pike, save your donuts for them. (ie Buy Sarah Wiggum instead)
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’m likely passing. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, since this is an item that helps with the event, it’s better to pick this up sooner rather than later if you plan to grab it. This way you maximize the event currency earning throughout the entire event.

Will also have tasks to Overpay for Sex on the Beach, Try to Win At Blackjack, Drink and Babysit and Dance the Senor Burns…provided you have the buildings associated with those tasks.

I’m saving up to buy her, I also bought Kitenge just because I like the episode and charcters, they are memorable to me. I like that she has a task to “bribe with diamonds” I was hoping for the diamond reference.
I liked this episode, so i might buy it (as soon as i recover from Sarah Wiggum)

If you are not impressed by Act 2 Prizes (with the exception of the Land Tokens), then this Character Building Combo would be worth Kem Farming for (a shame these Premiums don’t come with an extra Land Token, those are a hot commodity!) 👍
Like Sarah & Alison, another instant buy for me. Awesome character from an awesome episode.
I happily purchased and placed in zoo area but will probably have to move once Act 3 starts due to space in my zoo. Wish the buildings were not so huge.

I loved the episode (…and not just monkey faeces), so was keen to get her. However, the quest line dialogue was pretty dull. Might be worth considering.
I bought this character right away to help with the event.
I kind of want Joan but need to save donuts since I want Knifey Dundee more.
I am also really compelled to get Atlantis because some dev was nerdy enough to make a Bioshock reference. The phrase is affecting me.
I got her yesterday. No regrets! She is helping nicely at the baboon county. With those numbers of the event currency on the prize track, I will need all the help I can get. And I am hoping for finally having a chance at some bonuts…
On the third party of her questline, you’re asked to send Homer to do one job and ten Springfielders to do another. DON’T SEND HOMER. It’s a four hour job and it pays at PREMIUM rate for almost everyone in Springfield. As long as you don’t send him you can keep sending everyone else.

Let’s see if I can send them thru the center. Because I am not assigning manually for sure!
Usually, if the task is hanging on top of the list for a character, it will be prioritized at the time of bulk job assignment.
You’ll have to do it manually the first time, as long as that part of the quest is not finished, it stays active – yellow – and the center doesn’t send people with an active task. It works as soon as the first ten have finished it.
On the otherside if you don’t send your springfielders homer can get premium event currency till end of event.

I loved the episode so this was an easy pick for me…
She was almost an impulse buy for me, but decided against it…..
I love Jane Goodall (and Chimps) so I picked her up immediately. Now I’m out of Donuts but I don’t regret the purchase over Sarah Wiggum. To me she is one of those special characters that were in the Show just once but sticked with me. I also like the look of the Refuge. I didn’t build the theme park and I am going to build only a very small zoo that fits the size of my Springfield in comparison. Next to my Springfield I got a very large “around the world part” of my town though that I love and next to Europe, Canada and South America I am looking forward to create an Africa corner with all the Chimp/Cat/Serengeti stuff afterwards. 😍
Another buy for me because of a visual task longer than 8 hours. Otherwise, I would have totally passed. This is two in a row, so maybe EA has been listening!

I haven’t bought nothingness finding all the items so expensive so I just collect the free items but the choice is up to you.
I also don’t have many donuts to buy for what they want for it.
Bought this but regretted it, not my best move, will have to curb my impulse buying lol
